- This video was shot at the Outerwater Lane level crossing in Garfield, New Jersey
On Thursday, April 18th, me and my mother had to run some errands in Passaic. After we finished those, i headed on over to the Plauderville train station to catch a few trains. I happened to take a look at my phone, and acording to Departure Vision, not 1 but 2 trains were expected to arrive at the station at the same time. I know that this crossing has a speical system to let pedestrians know when a 2nd train comes, and i have seen it in action before, but never actually got a video of it. finally, after years (yes years) i finally got the boxes in action!

I love seeing that car at the end wait for the red light to go out before Crossing
Wisconsin Sirens & Signals yep
Wissota Sirens & Signals Cool dude but nevertheless, it is robotic
Warning. Only one train may be approaching. Warning. Only one train may be approaching
In the UK, I heard also another railroad crossing say “Warning, more than one train approaching ahead” twice. It happens in all railroad crossings of the UK. It’s very nice to have this audio message for more than one train.
I agree, I feel all level crossings need to have these signs
@@FreedomtowerStudios the UK they don’t use signs. They just play an audio message to alert pedestrians and motorist.
The danger another train coming. Yes my friend
Coaster3002 Productions The Cute girl You Know, That Was Nice, Awesome
Chicago now takes it toll.
I like this. We could use something like this in California. Especially on the combination of Metro and Freight Train crossings.
I think every crossing should have these signs
Well, These crossing are for the New Jersey Transit Line. And It Is Good that we should wait to cross the tracks. Happy than after,
Freedomtower Studios CONGRATULATIONS
You see the gates at the pedestrian crossing in Europe, but never the audio. That is great.
Yep, i saw a videos of those crossings, Thank You!
Suzanne Wilde This crossings are the same
Suzanne Wilde Good
Great catch and video!
Thank You David!
freebrickproductions STUPENDOUS!
None any rail fan train meets are danger because we want train meets! Just regular people just think it’s danger.and also great find with the hybrid bells!
Great catch Vincent. They need this in Montclair.
Thank you Patrick, they should do it at all crossings!
Patrick O'Connor His name is Vincent. And you’re right. Patrick
Awesome the Safetran Hybrid Bells Sound really nice
Yes they do, Slowly they are starting to die off, and it seems E-Bells are the new norm for dead bells
Victorian Rail Heritage Very Similar to the Griswold and the Raco bell
Nice Video!
Wa la! A cool video too
MobileRailSpotterRxR Tremendous!
Now this reminds that of the Long Island Rail Road had a Warning 2nd Train Coming at Bethpage
Believe it's still there, or at least was when I was in that area in 2017.
If it is, i have to get out to see that!
LIRR Railfanning2003 Nice Lirr picture
That's so cool!
I know!
Timothy Rogers Railfanning He knows that you like this crossing
The sign board for the danger warning is for vehicles, but the speaker that you hear is for pedestrians.
Both the sign and speaker are for pedestrians, but they can alert motorists too
Love that horn
Agreed!
Union County Railfan Its A K5LA Horn but yes they are in every train
Sean Park Awesome World And Fun Stuffs ok
To be more specific, it’s a restricted K5LA
I’m going to call the railroad Csx tomorrow and to instill these here
Good Luck
Justin Bradley You did Great
Nice catch!
Thank You!
SoCalRailfanner Nice
We need those boxes here
Yep, every crossing should have this
Justin Bradley Terrific
We don’t have these in Wv
Correct
Very nice!
Thank You!
Chqnces Tada!
Chqnces Superb
The things we do to save people from their own stupidity.
And yet, they still are stupid and ignore the signals
Orlando Florida has these now
Im glad to hear, every crossing should have them
Justin Bradley He Knows, but Yes
I like how they let you know a train is coming they should do this on every railroad
Me too, every crossing should have this with more then 1 track
I don’t like running across the railroad when there’s a train coming it’s very dangerous.
Nice Video Dude
Thanks
Two cars ignored the gates!
I've seen "2nd train" lights in Denver, but I believe they all lack the voice. First time I've seen a voiced "2nd train coming" in America.
I'm surprised these new "2nd train" systems are used with Safetran Hyrbid bells
That signal came from out water lane when upgraded
They might eventually replace these bells with safetran electronic bells.
Ugh, i can't stand e-bells....looks like another trip to this crossing before then
I hear those at Elmhurst
WC Hayes mechanical bells, popular bell
👍👍👍👍👍
Thank You
Paul Simkins 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🏅🏅🏅🏅
Are those new signals? Including the bells?
No, they been there a while
Jordan It is upgraded
What type Bell is that
Safetran Mechanical Bell
@@MetroNorth203Productions No, the crossing has hybrid bells.
Who owns the rail here? Union Pacific? BNSF? Thanks!
It’s the New Jersey transit
The new ones have an annoying dinging sound
Yea, but at least it isn't E-Bells
What state is this in?
New Jersey
Foolish motorists ignored the lights, so they invented gates. Now, the motorists figure they don't have to stop for the lights if they can beat the gates. Then dummies who stop on the tracks complained there wasn't enough warning time... so now they drive around the gates because they can't wait 30 seconds.
Theses signs were only put in place after an 11 year old boy was struck and killed by a express train heading to hoboken, if that had not happened, these signs would not be here
So close to my house
Jeremy YT Nice House
I located on google maps
Cool!
