    After using the power stack batteries on Dewalt dcf840 and dcd800 makita needs to come out with something like it. The weight reduction was a god send to my wrist. I dont like flex or kobalt cause they are to big and heavy. Milwaukee has terrible ergonomics. Dewalt ergonomics fits me well but makita is perfect. The problem is all their small batteries are just as expensive as the larger ones.

    I have some of the powerstack batteries. Definitely a case of good while they last. But the run time, as you say, is shit. Be interesting to see if Makita can do better than Dewalt. There is a better quality to Makita tools. I recently bought the latest multitool. I have been using a Dewalt one for ages. Different animals. The Dewalt one shakes the crap out of you. Has all the finesse of a brick in the face. The Makita has so much less vibration. You can guide it into the wood. Rather than hit and hope. So much better. If you look at the collet on a Dewalt they run out miles. Not the same quality at all.

    • @ManWithBeard1990
      @ManWithBeard1990 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@toolscientist LiFePO4 typically doesn't supply as much current as the normal cells do so it'd be a strange decision to say the least. Not that you're necessarily wrong, but it'd be very surprising if they went and did that.

      @toolscientist ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ManWithBeard1990 not sure about LFP, but in LiPo you can increase discharge at the cost of capacity by including more electrodes in the sandwich.
