    Welcome back to another spring walleye fishing video! Today we are fishing the Missouri River near Chamberlain South Dakota. Aka Francis Case. In this video we fish a couple different patterns for some shallow water walleyes. This was a super fun system to fish and we caught a pile of fish. Thanks for watching my spring walleye fishing video on the Missouri River.

    Continue to live the videos and the WalleyeNow app. Really changed the way I fish and how I use electronics, rather than sticking with “waiting for them on a “spot””. Would love to see a segment on Bays de Noc, I’ll keep
    petitioning 😊

    Thank you Tom for coming to the great state of South Dakota. Thank you for trying to unlock the secrets of spring fishing on lake Francis case. The section of of the river you were fishing is notorious for numbers. As the season progresses the fishing gets better for larger class fish farther south. Come back soon. The scenery is amazing when the vegetation starts to green up and in the fall when the colors turn

    Great video Tom and welcome to the experience of Francis Case. Tons of eater size fish! Originally being from NW Iowa, Francis Case is probably where I have spent the most overall time fishing out of every body of water I've fished. Jig presentation is definitely the way to go there this time of year during the day.

    Any plans to do a tournament video? Walleye Weekend in Fond du Lac, WI is coming up and or any tournament really. Would love to see you and someone in the heat of the battle. I want to see competitive Tom :)

    • @edpoints1127
      @edpoints1127 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Personally, I don't think so. Just my opinion. Why would a guide expose any "top secret" spots to everyone in the tournament? I've seen it before where people follow someone to a spot and blow it out. Granted, there are some that do it. I wouldn't if I was a guide. Besides that, people will judge your skills based on how you place in the event. I can go on, that's ONLY MY OPINION, and I've expressed the gist already without rambling on.

    • @spookify
      @spookify ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@edpoints1127 You make some good points; however I know Tom probably isn't souly making a living off TH-cam but his videos seem very repetitive. (Only Walleyes and possibly a new body of time to time) I'm not sure if Tom enters a large walleye tournament miles away from his home base that people will follow him. The judging him thing I could see with any. I like Tom personally so I guess I just want to see other things :)

    • @edpoints1127
      @edpoints1127 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@spookify Totally like Tom too. My type of content and presented very well. Again, in my OPINION, those are some reasons that he might possibly not fish tourneys. Another one is that you need an open schedule for practice, travel and the tournament

  • @johnowens7435
    @johnowens7435 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tom, I am headed to northern Ontario for the start of the walleye season in the third week of May. We are trying to target pre and spawning walleye - 25” or more. We expect that ice should be off soon but water temp will be cool. What do you recommend in terms of lures? We are not allowed to fish live minnows in that part of Canada but expected to fish with lures anyway. Last summer in a similar area, we caught lots of 14-20” walleye but this year we are targeting large walleye so let us know what you recommend. I should add that there are large northern pike so we expect the need to also use slightly heavier FC leader to avoid bite offs.

    Great videos like always Tom. Just wondering why you go with the helix vs the solix? I just picked up the solix, hoping not to regret it. Only reason I'm going with the solix over the helix is for the better picture quality and its grounded which they say helps the picture quality even more. I plan on getting another one next year since they are pretty pricy. Thanks, Can't wait for the 6th I'm from Wisconsin also.
