    I do this frequently. The rattle helps. Even rippin raps work.
    I do lock the main motor in and turn on trolling motor about 3.5 to steer. Don't have to worry as much.

    Thanks for another great video, Tom. I've been unmotivated lately and haven't had the drive to get my boat out lately. This lit a little fire under me. I'm going out this evening!

    One thing i would suggest is being very organized/ familiar with your boat and your gear placement. It doesnt take long trolling that close to shore with a double on for things to go sideways.

      You haven't truly been fishing shallow water walleyes until you run your boat aground fishing a shallow sand flat if you ask me 😂

      Trolling is pretty bad on the inland ohio lakes. there is 1 or 2 that are decent because they actually have weeds... Ohio river is really good until the water lvl lowers too much.

    Did the same thing on the St Croix yesterday. Scatter raps and Mag 44’s. Mostly walleyes and one great big blue cat.

    I will say this though, you have it dialed in. Even down to keeping debris off the line. I use a swivel to stop from line twist if lure start rolling.

    Could someone answer a question for me? I have a bunch of crank baits, I rarely use them in general, and Im not sure which ones are which. I know the bigger the lip/bill the deeper it runs but what about the lips that go down at an angle? In general I would assume the baits with an angle cut and run deeper but Im a newby when it comes to cranks.

    Are you banging bottom using a deep diving lure and fishing so shallow?

    • @bchecker6307
      @bchecker6307 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really depends on the lure dive curve,...which are based on 10 pound mono at 2mph. 50 feet back. He most likely is running a foot or two off bottom. @ 35 to 40 feet back at faster speed.
