The hi fi blue and silver one next to the one that looked like yours was mine! My second jam and it was a blast- thank you for what you do for the fxr community, you’re the reason why I got into FXRs so I wouldn’t have been there without you man🤘🏼
You know man, for me it's not the views, likes, or subscribers, but when people write in with comments like this that keep me doing the damn thing - I appreciate you sharing this - Congrats on one proper FXR, looking forward to seeing you there next year man!
Great show of hot FXR's BK. 👍 P.S. Though I retired last year and stopped all my Patreon subscriptions I've decided to renew for you brother. I was talking to the people at the Lexin tent and we of course brought you up as one of their favorites. During that conversation I asked them "Do you know how cool BK is?" BK is the only person who didn't change when I felt I had to get a handle on my finances. You have still been cool and stayed in contact. I had several others who won't give me the time of day since and that showed me what kind of cats they are. So cheers brother, I'm "back in the building" for such a worthy guy.
Man that means a lot - I've appreciated your support regardless of what level that has been over the years, definitely does not go unnoticed! Thanks for the continued PMA you bring
Much appreciated bro! Especially coming from winter down here in Aus. Can't beleive how many faired FXR's are there, I reckon you could count on two hands the amount of FXRT/D/P fairings are on FXRs riding in Australia atm. Got me fired up to finish mine.
Ahh yeah, I forget it is currently winter for you all - I actually see a lot of really interesting builds that come out of Australia, especially from Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth - Need to get out there one day and ride across the continent 🇦🇺
@@FXDLSBrooklyn Yeah mate, bloody freezing in my particular area but still gettin out n about. Canberra (biased), Perth and Queensland go hard for builds I reckon, definitely punching above the bigger cities of Sydney and Melbourne in my opinion!
Hey, I have a 85' FXR and due to a fused left wrist and painful AF tennis elbow, I'm having a hard time riding because the clutch is really hard to pull in. Think it may even have some kind of aftermarket/stronger clutch. Any suggestions on what I could do to make it pull in much easier without compressing too much? Thanks
Yeah it's definitely a hard clutch on my 1988 as well - I had a 2006 Dyna that had an easy pull clutch installed on in it, not sure if that's something you could look into or not for a bike that old
I feel like if you finally went the block head route and took the helmet off you could have so much more rad content where you do interviews and do not wvlog style filming at these events this was rad to see just wish there was. More 👊🙌
The corporation claimed that the FXR was too expensive to build in comparison to the Dyna frame. That's not acceptable. The tooling existed, the touring chassis wasn't any more expensive to build and Harley has never been shy with pricing, especially in the 80's and 90's. Literally the world wasn't ready for the change away from what people were conditioned to believe what a standard Harley Davidson looked like and performed like. The 80s-90s were not about all around performance, all the Harley media concentrated on was indoor arena type bike shows and poker runs, hardly a platform that could highlight was the FXR was capable of and the custom bike builders of that era built lowered and chromed out FXRs, once again moving away from what the FXR was designed for. The Dyna chassis looked like a standard Harley that Americans were accustomed to buying. You have to remember when the FXR was released, in the early 80's, the tail end of the 70's and there were a lot of outside political, entertainment and (pay) media drama happening that caused the general public from accepting change...or at least change that they could control. Great video!
