For the front crash bars, you are correct. You cannot simply remove them just by taking off the front bumper. The bolt head does have to be cut off and slid out from the bottom. If you only need an extra 1/2" or so of clearance with a much less aggressive offset, and want to retain the crash bars, you can swap the fronts from side to side. Once you cut the factory bolt head off and remove the nut/bolt, you can use any grade 8 nut/bolt and come in from the bottom with the nut on top. The bars have a curved design in them for the fog lights that can be swapped for extra clearance while still being able to remove the fog lights (just a bit of a pain). The crash bars do a lot for safety so I highly recommend doing anything you can to retain them. You can also spread them with a porta power to gain extra clearance. Word of advice though, do not remove the rear crash bar if you intend on putting it back for whatever reason. The only way that I saw to do that is to lift the cab off the frame, otherwise you don't have the clearance to put the crash bar in the sleeve. But the rears are almost never in the way, or can be trimmed/spread so removing is almost never necessary.
Hey CusomOffsets, could you not put a 2" Leveling kit in the front now? I am asking because I am about to buy this exact lift kit. And would like the 5" block in the rear but don't want the rake.
Just put a 6 inch RC lift and 20x12 -44 Moto Metal wheels with 35's on my 16 F150. I personally did the trimming on the truck. I first started by removing the front bumper. I then cut the bolts on the 2 front crash bars and then the 2 bars simply slide out. On the rear crash bars, I also but the bolts, however the bar is too long to remove with the provided space. I ended up cutting the rear crash bar into 2 pieces to full remove. It is possible but a lot of work.
I am trying to find how it was trimmed also. I have a plastic molding over my pinch weld so the NorCal mod may not work. I would love to see how custom offsets did theirs. I have a 15 w/ 6” lift on 35s w/ 20x12 -44 wheels. I have trimmed some but still have a little rubbing at inner fenders by the cab
Same thing minor plastic trimming is all that was needed. Check out the gallery to see what other people have fit ! www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery?order=&make=Ford&model=F-150&year=2016&suspension=Suspension+Lift+6%22&wheel_diameter_from=20&wheel_width_from=12.0&tire_height_from=35&wheel_diameter_to=20&wheel_width_to=12.0&tire_height_to=35&page=2
Those tires have to be more than 12.5 wides or at least some sort of spacer, I have similar set up with 22x12.5 on 35s and they don’t come that far out past the running boards.
I'm not hating at all, but I've seen A LOT of trucks with 6 inch lifts with 37s and 40s proven facts as well my dually started out with a 5 inch lift on 40s no cutting no rubbing it now has a 9 inch suspension lift with 44s still no cutting or rubbing
A few guys on the F-150 forums have had luck with spreading the craah bars instead of cutting them. I believe one was able to fit 305/55 20x10 -12 on just a 2.5" level with just spreading with no rub at all.
Custom Offsets You take a hydraulic spreader and push the two bars outward. You gotta push them, then leave them in the position for a while to mold I guess. Im not sure how far you can push them out but probably a couple inches. Here's a link to the forum where the guy spreads them : www.f150forum.com/f118/fixed-tire-rubbing-issue-360363/
I agree 100%, pretty much no one talks about re-gearing these trucks. Everyone just throws tires on and runs with it. The new F150s do have a really slow 1st gear tho, it's like a 4.17 I think but still most need a new set of gears! O and I love the tires by the way, most slap some "tractor grips" on and throw rocks at everyone. Love this build!
Does it prett effortlessly! Still drives fine, and pulls a trailer fine! computer, you enter in stock size tire, then what you're going up to and it recalibrates
I just traded my dealer lifted truck in because the 35" tires on the stock gearingducked. Dont listen to anybody who says it doesn't. They just dont know. New truck is getting 35" and I'm installing 4.56 gears. The trucks had a 3 second differencein 0-60 times. Dont listen to those who say its fine. Traded mine in 4000 miles. Start over. Dealer would not accept any responsibility .
I don't know if it's the different lift kit brands or the way the trucks are built I know older trucks are more wheels and tire roomy these new trucks have a lot wheel well closure
SEALIGHT 9145/9140/9045/9040 LED Fog... www.amazon.com/dp/B07DYQ665J?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf I put these in my 2017 F150... these are amazing! Super bright with great beam pattern. H5 - Low beam 9005 - Hi Beam 9140 - Fog I got them all for right around $100
I know I'm chiming in a little late but I seriously hope this truck DID NOT sale! It's definitely a super sweet ride but $43k is a lot of money for a truck that has NO WARRANTY. That's right... if you cut the "crash bars" you voided the warranty. That's why I don't buy new trucks! It's not worth it if you're gonna be doing extreme mods. You're stuck paying full price for a truck that either (a) you can't do anything to or (b) you loose the factory warranty. Just buy used and you can do whatever you want. You won't have a warranty but you'll save a sh!t ton of money. The truck looks DAMN GOOD though!!! 👍👍
Chop Suey The only F-150 6in lift that doesn't require cutting the frame would be the 2WD version of the Rough Country 6in lift and the 7in Max Trac 2WD lift. I don't know any 4X4 lift kits that can get away without cutting the frame.
Looks nice, but one curb and you have a nice set of scratched up rims that can't be repaired. Will look like shit until you sell or remove and have powdercoated.
Who ever edits this is amazing
Jr
Well done, I seen the xlt badge and I was like oh no cloth seats. Then when you opened the door I seen you did the seats over I feel in love again
This truck is perfect in every aspect, and the low profile step bar gives it a little more ground clearance. Awesome build guys!
I got my hoodie from you guys the other day, it's really comfortable but this Georgia heat hits hard lol. Till deer season

Patrick Hosty did you have to trim any of the metal off the actual fender itself?
Ok, so I hate big ass rims on trucks, but I gotta admit that thing is gorgeous
Wow what a deal 42or 43k shipped but the only thing black is such a hard color to keep clean
Damn bro your show is legit. Thanks for taking the time out of your day to make these quality vids.
I cut the bolts off the front crash bar and slid it out. That way it’s not there people don’t say “why are those bolts there”
Please please please next time you get a 15+ with 12 wides can you film the trimming process. Trying to fit 12 wides on a level :)
im doin that to my 06 f150. 22x12 fuel wheels on 35s
I am trying to find how it was trimmed also. I have a plastic molding over my pinch weld so the NorCal mod may not work. I would love to see how custom offsets did theirs. That is the best F150 I seen! Awesome job. I love it👍👏
I “love” how your not secretive about the wheel information. subscribed!
Sick truck. Did you had to modify anything besides adding the 6in lift to fit those 20x12 wheels and tires?
Same thing minor plastic trimming is all that was needed. Check out the gallery to see what other people have fit

Wheels look great on black, wonder how it looks on white,
42k!?!? If I was there I'll trade my 14 f1 fx4 in a heartbeat!! Here in Hawaii they sell modified trucks like that for 56k dealership 😪
Loving this truck. Beautiful work.
Juniors truck is looking good in the background
Does it come with the stock wheels so I can switch over at winter time? Do you have a shipping company that you use? I'm very interested thanks.
Those tires have to be more than 12.5 wides or at least some sort of spacer, I have similar set up with 22x12.5 on 35s and they don’t come that far out past the running boards.

Custom Offsets That guy is running a 295/60 20x9 +1 , but I have seen a -12 offset 33" tire work also.
what's the new setup on JRs GMC? did he get rid of the hostiles?
This was done so very well. Your asking price is good too.
Fox 2.0 or bilsteins 5100 would ride better on the truck?
Can you do a shit I never knew on regearing?
YES! PLZ!
I agree 100%, pretty much no one talks about re-gearing these trucks. Everyone just throws tires on and runs with it. James Campbell I had a guy try to race me with his lifted 5.3L stock gears....my 4.6L gapped him instantly. im only running 33s st the moment
So could you have added a spring spacer to the front springs to level out the truck?
Yes
Are the Sotas stepped up in quality from BMF or pretty much same thing?
Please elaborate more on how the truck pulls those tall ass tires around, and re flashing the computer to correct the speedo.
Does it prett effortlessly! Still drives fine, and pulls a trailer fine! computer, you enter in stock size tire, then what you're going up to and it recalibrates

I used to hat this truck, but the more I look at it the more I like it lmao
I'm going with a 6in BDS on my 15 gmc Denali , Does this setup require more than minor trimming
Rafa, F150's and Denali's are different. Shoot over to our gallery for fitment help! customoffsets.com/gallery
great looking truck. what would you guys recommend for a 2004 ford f150 lariat leveled.
Custom Offsets I agree personal preference is key just looking for ideas thank you. keep up the videos on the Fords!
Do you need to upgrade the pinion gears when you put 6in bds lift on the ford 150 2015 thank you for the help
I’m looking for these wheels for my truck 22x12 6x135??
I want to get into this set up but how safe is it to remove the crash bars?
Some guys push them back, some cut. We typically cut due to the wheel/tire size people are running Sergio!
The truck still available? Tried emailing Tim, wouldn't go through.
Yes it is Calgonzo! shoot us an email to info@customoffsets.com
looks pretty badass for a Ford I'm more of a GM guy but looks pretty good
did you have to put a driveshaft spacer on that kit
whats the rate for an install on one of these kits say for a 4 inch lift?
Looks great ol' boy!
A smidge wide for my taste but a very good looking, clean truck none the less.
I'm so jealous now......
what a nice looking F150👍👍
with wheels like that does the ecoboost still pull hard? just as strong?
idk man, those wheels are looking good.
whats the $$$ on this build? parts only.
Do you think I'll have to trim it if I did a 6in rough country 20x12 on 33s and 2 in spacers?
No
what did you had to do for the front tires not to rub ?
I know its a long shot, but is this truck still for sale?
this truck ended up selling a few months ago Ryan!
Dang I was looking a truck just like this except no lift and it was white. They wanted 51k but it had 251 miles on it
I don't know if it's the different lift kit brands or the way the trucks are built I know older trucks are more wheels and tire roomy these new trucks have a lot wheel well closure
Looks great guys...nice job

how much would the 6 "set cost me for a f150 2015?
Check the description for links Jesus!
i need them rims and tires for my truck asap rocky
5.0L is the way to go. Any Ford tech will tell you they would rather own a 5.0L
Yeah, I totally agree bro. I don't know why anyone would buy a big lifted truck with a V6?? Doesn't make any sense!!
Just for show , i got me a 2.7 ecoboost, i just needed a pick up truck
Would those wheels fit with a leveling kit?
I would expect to have to trim metal and plastic and also have a lot of rubbing
I wish trucks were that cheap down in the south
is this the ford f150 XLT?
Joseph Gonzalez it says XLT on the side emblems.
How much for that exact setup
What is Shawn's daily driver?
Do you have to cut frame for the 6” lift
This one you do! For the diff to drop down
Custom Offsets seems like anything more than 4” needs that

In california that truck wouldn't make it through the day with getting fix it tickets
whats the catskin seats upgrade cost?
hit them up for pricing Chance!
whos them!
Is it the 3.5 or the 2.7?
badass truck right there 👌
what kind of floor mats?
