    I have that same comb at home I got it at a hot rod car show in Pomona, ca there was a lot of cool greaser memorabilia like clothing, hair pomade, combs, hot rods, rat rods,1950's Chevy bel airs and painting art work as well

      The Score Man! Like you, wish Score men's hair dressing would be manufactured once again. That stuff was THE very BEST stuff out there. It was a micro emulsion hair dressing that worked with both your hair and water and it did a more than excellent job when you used it in your hair.

    I hear this is the product with the most shine. Wat product has shine and a good hold?

  • @dprodani7b89
    @dprodani7b89 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How does royal crown compare to black and white in hold and shine?

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Black and white has a slightly better hold due to its waxy nature whereas royal crown has unbeatable shine and a greasy shiny look

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both are great though

    • @dprodani7b89
      @dprodani7b89 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Avo thank you. But is black and white’s shine ‘enough’ because I’m having trouble finding royal crown where I live?

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dprodani7b89 Black and white is my go to every time
      It's got a good medium shine
      Depending on your hair colour it can look more shiny
      Specifically on darker hair like myself it has more shine

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dprodani7b89 another option if you're looking for a pomade to put over black and white like many of us do with pomades that lack the shine we want is either dax short and neat, awesome shine or their hair conditioning products
      Good shine, reasonable and you can get dax products most place

  • @apt-du7kj
    @apt-du7kj 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do You also have when you use a realy Light product (like brylcreem) That it looks like your almost balding. What can I do about That?

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I get the same issue
      Because I've got quite fine hair but a lot of it
      Sometimes it will look really thin like you're balding but the trick is to not go too crazy when applying products as too much will make it look much thinner than it is
      Also don't try to get it too forward as it makes the comb lines split quite far apart and will show more scalp making it look like you're blading once again

    Hi, just started using this, after you have applied this pomade what do you do on the next day i.e. do you add a touch more to your hair dry or wet it? and how often will it last before washing again, thanks for the videos and tips

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As you go through the day, depending on how much you sweat and the climate you live in will determine how long it will hold for
      But the next day I'd dampen my hair and apply like a finger scoop or so more to add to it

      This stuff is mainly for people of color as it's made or consisted of olive oil. I've read about it and the ingredients of it when in the Family Dollar store. Greesy kid stuff, I should say.

      Alejandro Gamboa try a hair tonic before your pomade
      Like vaseline hair tonic

    • @pomadesandpomps
      @pomadesandpomps 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was also going to say to use a tonic but OP beat me to it. Vaseline tonic is a very good option for a cheap price but if you're willing to spend a little extra, Reuzel grooming tonic works very well.

    • @ale10156

    Does anyone else suffer from breakouts after using a oil pomade?

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lukas Novak I used to have very bad acne
      I still get a bit but it's getting better by the day
      The key is to watch when you're sleeping on your side with pomade in your hair. That is if you've still got it in your hair in the night.
      Because it will cover your face with grease otherwise
      It may be worth you going to your doctor for options for treatment
      Some of them work wonders

    • @Lukas-ow7ow
      @Lukas-ow7ow 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joseph Avo really appreciate your advice

    • @joeavo6556
      @joeavo6556  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @the Game, Review and Reallife Channel believe me it does
      It's like anything if you have a thick grease in contact with your face it's going to lead to acne of some description
      If it is difficult to get out of your hair then it's obviously going to be tough to get off your skin, causing breakouts because it would block the pores just like anything else such as makeup does for women
