Honor platoon 309 1968 309 1968 John Tyler Moore San Diego California Vietnam thank you thank you for all United States Marine corps veterans and your family God bless you
From the Halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli We fight our country's battles On land and and sea; Aspiration of the nation We're the finest ever seen And we glory in the title Of United States Marine. Our flag's unfurled to every breeze From dawn to setting sun; We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun. In the snow of far-off Northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes; You will always find us on the job -- The United States Marines.
I agree Alec, although the record companies are getting some pretty close to HD remasters on many of these old 78 era recordings. Thanks for checking it out and have a great day from Lloyd :)
@@lrh1966 Hey thank YOU! I''m happy to let you know I'll be joining the Corps after I graduate college sometime next year. I'll be going in with an Associates and a Bachelors.
What division, My favorite is the 1st Marine Division but my VFW member Eugene Iconetti was in the 4th as Cpl. And demoman and is still around at almost 100. He also enlisted the same time this record was released out of high school in Teaneck NJ.
Listened to this almost every Saturday before going to cut wood with my dad and grandpa good times rest in peace hats off to the Marines and all who have served in every branch thank you for our freedom x💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Recorded on February 12, 1942, at the outset of World War II.
From the Halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli
We fight our country's battles
On land and and sea;
Aspiration of the nation
We're the finest ever seen
And we glory in the title
Of United States Marine.
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun;
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far-off Northern lands
And in sunny tropic scenes;
You will always find us on the job --
The United States Marines.
Thanks Nicholas for giving it a listen and have a great day from Lloyd.
There’s absolutely nothing like that old 1940’s audio. Sometimes I’ll take that over clear sharp HD quality any day or the week
