I do not think Lou left Annie willingly. He was bonded to her and they were preparing for the new season of parenthood (they had been seen mating). He may have had some kind of accident, or been attacked by another bird (perhaps a hawk). Avian flu is also a possibility. I really don't want to know what happened to my Lou-Boo--it would only make me sadder than I already am about his disappearance. I sincerely hope Annie and Archie have a successful season.
