I HAVE A 07 Chevy Impala 3.5 camshaft position sensor is in the same place! Also I had to undue a 13mm bolt aside from the 3 on the pully to lift the power steering pump out…it’s actually a bracket that holds down the power steering pump hose I couldn’t pull it out without taking that bolt off as well. For reference watch a power steering pump replacement video if you have a engine like mine
Nice video! I was fighting a electrical issue... Turns out it was the connector on this sensor. Bad design flaw having the pump sitting on this sensor.
Thank you for this video. I was able to follow your well-made video. The power steering pump sure gave me trouble. I had to unscrew one bolt from the alternator thing in order for the steel lines to clear and finally was able to move the power steering assembly thing. 2003 Chevy Impala 3.4
Hey i just wated your video helped so much even with anxiety i was having over this job nice how you got those shots of the aemsor broke the clip myself thanks for taking the time ro video this
Great video bro.... I was dreading doing this, but no worries now... THNX! Will do it tomorrow! Question.... I have had the P0011 code and it was running OK, but that's why I got the new sensor and am replacing.... But I got my oil changed yesterday and now it's also throwing a P0303 Cylinder 3 misfire and running rough.... Any ideas? I am hoping replacing the sensor clears it all up.. Thanks Again for the vid!!!!
Glad to hear this video will help. I don't think the 2 codes are related. If the new sensor doesn't clear the misfire, I'd start traditional troubleshooting (switch the spark plugs and see if the code changes cylinders, then do the same with plug wires, then the fuel injectors). Best of luck!
Will a bad Camshaft position sensor cause "engine power reduced " to read on the dash and the car to rough idle and run like it's misfiring? If anyone can help that would be awesome. Thanks
Best video out of all 5 I reviewed, spot thanks for doing this for all of us Miluso!
Damn man that was the best “how to” video I’ve seen.

What were the symptoms that made you replace sensor
I doubt it’s different but I have the 3.9l with the intake manifold that looks similar to the 3.5L will it still work
what was the car doing that you had to replace this? any codes?
That was perfect

What do I use to get the plug out
I just tried to do this. It a 10mm not 8 unless a different model has a different size bolt for the sensor
Great Vid Bro

Will this work for engine 3.5l v6?
Yes

all the impala connectors brake MOST of the time, even on 5-7 year old vehicles😒 it all gets britL & Ant the bSt plStic👋
How many cam sensors does the impala have?
1. And there is a crank sensor that some times go out around the same time from what I hear. Similar issues as well
i think this is why im getting p0164
Wait....is this really the CRANKSHAFT sensor or the CAMSHAFT sensor?? They're different...
yS thA, & the bolt hed sIz, & the location.. all quite difRNt👋
Xcept for the britL GM connectors that USUALLY break that is👋
Will this work on my 2008 Impala SS?
I wouldn't use that dura last crap. Stick to ac Delco. Last longer.
I agree, but I have to do what the customer wants (when it's legal of course lol)
Pause it pause it
Oh hate doing that belt off and on there uhh' again...
