@@RavenFlau I've looked up scans of the MSV story, it's more of a comedic take on things TBH, down to the fact that the R-2 zaku was upgraded into a mass of guns with a heat blade on it's head.

The Io vs Daryl fight was more of a tribute to the (very probably non-canon, but then again neither is Gundam Thunderbolt so w/e) fight from the old MSV story.
Not really just like what Devaisa motion said. The fight between the Fa Thunderbolt gundam and the Pysco zaku was basically a giant tribute from the old MSV story.

This whole video is nothing but a big reference to Johnny's duel against the FA Gundam in the manga.

Ahh yeah i saw panel of that. A bit weird for my taste. This HM Zaku with all of its guns attached to it looked a lot better to me 😬
