- The Secret Sayings of Jesus as written in Gospel of Thomas.
Here I presented it to you in a very clear and easy listening & reading.
Most of the ancient manuscripts don't have any puncuations so how you read it is really your intepretation; so here is my own intepretation of the sayings.
The manuscipt itself is not in perfect condition so the scholars have to reconstruct some of the texts, while some others are missing.
Most of the sayings is similar or resonate with the teachings of masters and yogi of the east. So for you that already familiar with such teachings, would not so difficult to fill in the blanks or some confusing parts.
The music is also tuned in 432 Hz to create peaceful ambient and potentially can heal your body & mind.

I experienced an awakening in 2019 before which I was an ardent spiritual seeker, although not a religious person. After it happened, I was immediately drawn to this Gospel. It was the first time I had looked at it and I was amazed to find that the words made complete sense. Not just how scripture used to appear (like a bunch of pleasant but empty words) but the true, deep meaning was revealed. Beautiful and so very reassuring at that time. I spent many enjoyable hours decoding the sayings into my own personal notes in the margins. Some sayings still haven’t fully revealed their meanings but slowly become clearer as Being unfolds.

Rather, the kingdom is inside of you, and it is outside of you. When you come to know yourselves, then you will become known, and you will realize that it is you who are the sons of the living father. This is very similar to the teachings in the Baghavad Gita. It also implies that we are ALL the son of the father God Almighty. Once you achieve 'Christ Consciousness" you also become the Son of God.
Jesus never says to pray to him, he said to pray to the Father. Creator of Heaven & Earth.
Your geeta has no concept of The Father and The Son. It is all about killing siblings and occupying the land. Don't compare Jesus with Krishna.

Even without reading Gospel of Thomas a true Christian knows what the Kingdom of God is!
It’s found in absolute forgiveness, unfathomable love and utter humility .
The Lord’s prayers holds the key and breaks down how to achieve the Kingdom of God.

Understanding the Bible, Jesus claims to be God in a subtle sense but not outright so he doesn't stir up controversy.

Most people wouldn't like what I'm saying, but i have read the Upanishads and the teachings of the buddha. They say the 3xact same things. These are mystical words and people who meditate, or have had an altered consciousness experience would be able to get it.
I said this exact thing the other day. You need to do Holotropic breathing to enter Samadhi then your brain literally eats the words like food.
It’s actually very simple to do but not many will ever go for it. Just from hyperventilating breathing and then breath retentions over and over again, any person can reach Christ Consciousness.

Simply reading The various teachings with an open mind and being willing to let go of preexisting beliefs is enough to see the message which pervades all things. No special breathing is required, though it is a pathway of equal validity. As it says in the Bhagavad Gita, 7, 21, whatever path you follow, if you are faithful, you will receive that promised reward.

If we look closely and listen with an open heart, you will notice most of everything written in this gospel is same with the gospels in the Bible and with deeper meaning and understanding.

In the gospel of Thomas, Jesus teaches an esoteric Gnostic understanding of the world where we need to free ourselves from it. In contrast, in the New Testament, Jesus says to live in the world but not be of it.
In the Thomas texts, the world is completely unredeemable. Additionally, Thomas is very anti-women. For example, take this saying in the gospel of Thomas:
Simon Peter said to them, “Let Mary leave us, for women are not worthy of life.” Jesus said, “I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the kingdom of heaven” (114).
In contrast, Galatians 3:12 states: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
But far more importantly, there are clear differences in that the gospel of Thomas doesn’t even see Jesus as a Saviour of our sins. This is perhaps the biggest contrast because the New Testament is clear on who Jesus is, while the gospel of Thomas gives a very contradictory account.
This so-called “gospel" doesn't point to Christ as the Messiah, doesn't teach the way of salvation, doesn't have a narrative, doesn't record the Crucifixion, and teaches things contrary to God's word. Some of the sayings are just senseless, such as number 7:
Blessed is the lion which the man shall eat, and the lion become man; and cursed is the man whom the lion shall eat, and the lion become man.
By apostolic authority, the church only received books that could be traced to apostolic eye-witness testimony. This would include books written by both apostles and their close associates. For example, the church obviously received John’s writings because he was one of the apostles. But they also received Mark, based on the fact that he was Peter’s close associate.
Did an apostle or close associate write the gospel of Thomas? No. It’s a pseudepigraphal work, not written by the apostle Thomas. In fact, it was written substantially after all the eye-witnesses to the resurrected Christ had died.
The gospel of Thomas makes no qualms about its Gnostic leanings with all its emphasis on learning the secrets of Jesus. The prologue begins, “These are the secret sayings that the living Jesus spoke.” Moreover, the first saying states, “Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death.” Gnostic salvation came through obtaining a secret knowledge, not through the death and resurrection of the Son of God.
Whether or not you choose to embrace Gnostic teaching, it was rejected as heretical by the early church. Orthodoxy taught salvation by faith, but the gospel of Thomas taught salvation came through knowledge of secret information.

My interpretation of Saying 7 that you mention is in brackets below;
Jesus said, "Blessed is the lion which becomes man when consumed by man; [where the Lion represents ego and where humans have the potential of being Divine, once the ego subsides into Being/God] and cursed is the man whom the lion consumes, and the lion becomes man." [A person consumed by their ego (represented as a lion) and unable to see God as a result of it - hence ‘cursed’.]

God created man in OUR image and in OUR likeness. OUR means plural as in more than one. If there of no other Gods why then wouldn’t it just say God created man in my image instead wouldn’t that make more sense? Hmmmmm

They are only "secret" in the sense that the Pauline Christians rejected them from the official Bible. Put them into the New Testament and throw out all of St Paul's teachings and you would have something that works.

"When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter the Kingdom". Be on guard to maintain the fire inside shine brightly. Change your ways when they are found to be the predicament and in contradiction with the fire within which is meant to shine brightly.
These words sounds more authentic than the standard gospel of Catholic Church. Here Jesus is the living spirit with no identity to anything in this world.

Some Bible scholars think the Gospel of Thomas is the Q source used by the Gospels of Matthew , Mark , Luke, and John .

@@moe8577 Hi Moises. That’s basically it, Yeshua (Divine) paired to the “twin” Thomas (Physical). Judas (Jude), often credited as Jesus’ brother or twin was in fact Jesus. How else do you think Jesus knew Judas would betray him, he turned himself in. 👍🏻

There is likely nothing that more clearly separates the Gospel of Thomas from the canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke(Acts) and John than that Jesus' crucifixion has no part in the teaching of these sayings. The teaching offered by the Gospel of Thomas is one of presence and of living in the here and now. Crucifixion, resurrection, a second return and a coming judgment have no role in the Gospel of Thomas at all. (For me, that is actually evidence of the sayings more likely being authentic teachings of Jesus.) Consider replacing the cross in the background with Jesus carrying the lost sheep across his shoulder. I suggest that that would more closely reflect Thomas' message. Altering the metaphor a bit, searching and coming to know the true self is the joyful and loving discovery of the lost ego.
I like that you left off the number assignments to the sayings. They are clearly arbitrary and suggest a kind of unity that the collection doesn't really have. It gives the (false) impression that Thomas is proclaiming that "These are the 114 hidden sayings that Jesus spoke..." But he isn't doing that.

Why therefore is this written in scripture but the blind don’t see it. This scripture is god talking to me personally when I read it because you readers have no idea the things I went through in life and the fire and trails of the living god to strength and test me and prepare me for this time.
Research how Christianity got started and how the emperor Constantine played a role in it and how Paul was appointed as an apostle which the other apostles didn’t agree with. Why does Paul’s teaching contradict the real teachings of Jesus then?

1) Uh, If you fast You’re tempting yourself to sin. 2) To be condemned in prayer maybe has a correlation to confessing your sins? honestly idk man
A few of the verses completely contradict the Four Gospels, for example I do not believe YESHUA would say that if you pray you will be condemned. Another one is that if you give to charity it will harm your spirits? Its the opposite of the widely known teachings of YESHUA HA'MASHIAC who many call Jesus of Nazareth.
The Gospel of Thomas is without narrative which would give the verses some context. He must have been talking about a particular type of prayer. Could it be praying vain repetitions or praying in public so that others will see us praying?. He must have been talking about giving charity to make oneself look good in front of others. These are just my thoughts but these two examples are in agreement with the canonical Gospels. If you listen to only the words of the 4 canonical gospels without narrative then the verses also become more mysterious. I think this helps us to meditate and pray on the meanings of verses in a different way.

You will be condemned to your prayer, so ask your self what is your prayer?........and if you give to charity, what spirits are you harming? what are your spirits? you get it? i have had to go into depth to see the answers, asking the Spirit of Jesus to help me, because it is very deep and hard to understand, just like in the Bible when Jesus teaches in parables......i hope i have helped you ....have a blessed day....:)
