These guides have been very informative for me as a builder in fallout 4. I like having the ability to use both building aspects in my settlements. Mashing both personal buildings and SS2 plots is a great way to make city plans look even more busy even if you use a small city plan. Thanks for all the work you have been doing.
If you can't see the Hudframework Resource HUD you need to turn Crosshairs to ON or it will not display. I spent way too much time troubleshooting what was a simple solution in the end. This video helped me figure out how to move the resources GUI from the middle of the screen. Thank you!
Honestly I'm surprised he didn't address the giant icons above buildings during construction haha, unless they're redundant with the other info I've been modding since 2009 & on like playthrough 13 of 4 and it still helps to have a guide
New to this mod! Amazing and love it! Quick question I haven’t been able to find an answer to. Once you unlock an advanced farm per se, will the city plan automatically upgrade to one and reassign a settler with the correct skill? Or do I need to manage that myself?
Depends on the city plan, your system, etc. It places pretty much everything one by one, so the more stuff there is to place the longer it'll take. My pc is pretty strong and it took a little under that long to build the "milk of brahmin kindness" city plan. Honestly 10 minutes really isn't that bad, of you'd said 30 I'd be concerned
Yes, 10 min is fine for a larger plan, and Abernathy is a big place. On xbox easily longer. Just making sure you don't build the Triangle of Death. Pick 1 of Abernathy, Sanctuary & RedRocket. Building Large in 2 of those is Trouble that may prevent you being able to Go There without crashing. Base game problem, Not an SS2 problem. SS2 just makes it easier to build large settlements.
Jack doesn’t turn up for me at all. Get to Sanctuary find the magazine kill the bloatflies and radroaches build the signal. Do I have to talk to Codsworth before I build or not have any other mods?
You need to build & Power the Radio Tower. That is what triggers 'The Stranger'. Who is not called 'Jack' by the way. If that doesn't happen... Yes, check the Load Order that your mods are Installed in.
I've heard that because of the lower processing power of the Xbox, and the script-heaviness of the startup of SS2, that it can take quite a while for all the scripts to run before the mod is actually "ready". It might be worth poking about in Sanctuary for a while in order to allow the scripts to finish. Note that you don't have to build the first recruitment beacon in Sanctuary. You could wander down to Abernathy and set it up there if you like, or Starlight. Kinggath is doing a playthrough on Xbox right now, and it might be worth checking it out to see what he runs into.
To this day I still can’t fix the issue I have with food. Food at every settlement is fine but HQ is waaaaay in the red and every settler i have complains about no food even though their settlement is fed
if you turn on the expanded HQ meters, what do they say? before KG makes his video on this, it can all be found on the wiki if you search for "hq". Usually you need WAY more food than you'd expect, HQ rooms for it built (cafeteria/kitchen) and supply agreements to every settlement with excess food. and make sure there's enough _surplus_ that's not just exported to other settlements (which it probably is if you have lvl 3 residentials everywhere and outposts with 100 people each) - "needs" reports on the city planner desk terminal should tell you that. Often you have to revisit settlements after upgrades if it should have 150 but thinks it has 0
Where is a guide of all the symbols explained ? Smiley face I know but sometimes I have a red unhappy face and I have no idea for what it means... You see this a lot with outposts would be use full to know how to cope that ...
@saco_wea7905 Wait for the Starfield version of Creation Engine to drop. Fallout-4 needed that same help when it launched. First are the Nudie/Body mods that don't need a CC for. They take days (or Hours) to start coming out. Then the Stupid crap that seems to have mostly been Interface/HUD so far. And apparently Gravity...
I mean to be fair, fallout 3/4/elder scrolls aren't good vanilla and need a huge load order to make them great, Vegas is the only exception, and there's only basic mods until the creation kit.. and maybe modders can do something with the endless empty planets & dull mechanics haha
Very easily, download with your choice of mod manager, click install, make sure the plugins are active and in a proper place in your load order. That's basically it, assuming you've already prepped your game for modding, if not there's tutorial videos everywhere on YT
I get why people like this mod, it automates a lot of what they didn't enjoy about the vanilla game, but speaking as a contrarian to what's popular a big part why Fallout 4 is my all time favourite game was being able to play as the one who maintains a communities accommodations with little appreciation. It's a perspective no game has truly ever even attempted to show and it bugs me that Bethesda was too caught up in trying to appease older fallout fans to commit to their own potential as designers.
Huge support for the work you've done with this mod! ❤

I am really getting into this now, but I cannot get the Status Meters and Resources Panelto show. I do have "crosshairs" showing in my settings

Thanks for the guide! Do unemployed people pay taxes (money for dwelling ss2 houses)? Is there an option "recruit only if house/job is available"?
Thanks for explaining the hud scale adjustment on Xbox
Does this work on ps5 version ive tryed for weeks to find it in mod menu but can never find sim settlement
No it is only on Xbox and pc
Why does it take so long to build? I'm at Abernathy farm and I choose a city plan and I have been floating for 10 min.?

Is the standard Food category green because you're linked to other settlements that are making up the difference?
No. The caravan network was displayed, there were no other settlements connected.
@@Modhunter42 Does that include the standard Fallout 4 supply lines as well as SS2's caravans?
@@GrumpyOldGit-zk1kw Yes. Same network.

You never showed how to set hotkeys with the holotape.
Would be curious if this comes to starfield.
420th like. thanks for the vid, King.
I want to play with crosshair off its so disgusting could you fix this one day please?

Too low happiness for the plot to upgrade to another level
Fallout is still better than Starfield.
Starfield is gonna get good in some years, we have to give time to the modders to cook.

Starfield in 8 years will blow fallout and Skyrim out of the water. Once the modders have their way with that game.
pitting two games against each other is petty and juvenile.

How do I install sim settlements 2 and it’s whole chapters and expansions?
There is wiki in descriptions and in the video's intro 🤔
depends on method, but it should be the same as any other mod
