Defying Heights : The Thrilling Elie Chainwalk

The Elie Chain Walk.
An absolutely amazing day out! A non climbing day so Dawn suggested that we visit and complete the Elie Chain Walk cliff climb out at Earlsferry. We left Arbroath and headed towards Dundee in the rain with Dawn confident that the weather would soon clear and the worst we would face is a bit of overcast!
Getting through Dundee we then headed towards Guarbridge before taking the turning for Earlsferry and the Kingdom of Fife.
I switched off the windscreen wipers as we parked at Earslferry and allowed the rain to batter off the windscreen. We set off in the rain on this cliff walk but soon the promise of very little rain but overcast skies came upon us.
This, is a truely awesome experience and we thoroughly recommend trying Elie Chain Walk. A magical landscape, some heights, great climbs and scrambling and the smell of the sea air as your constant companion.
