The multiverse in action. 75 y/o american machines kept alive along with the old school techniques. My hat off to these workers.
Its not old usa made machines, its Chinese/ Russian

50 years ago I worked at Sterling Metals (UK) making cylinder heads and blocks. Today the pattern equipment for a head would be in the region of £300-400k. This vid was amazing - pattern equipment from scratch to make some replacement heads. Not to mention the moulding and core-making skills. Well impressed. Although I did wonder how they were going to make the water jacket core to keep the head from overheating. Answer - don't have one.
Because they processed someone else's workpiece, and not the one they cast!
😊
Overheating ? No Problem they make a new one, keeps the Production going...
Some kind of Perpetuum mobile 😁
Make enough scrap some call it "job security".@@haudraufundschluss1972
Their equipment costs exactly that much. Any museum will gladly pay such a price!
This is beyond fascinating. It is my dream to eventually be able to do stuff like this in my farm fabrication shop i am building.
the pattern maker guy (dark shiny jkt and grey hat) is really skilled - look at how he uses the tools he has! his ruler is so old and used its corners are round - hes also dressed up so its cold - high up or season??
Dudes be out there, making their own cylinder heads. Nice finish by that fly-cutter, and hand-lapping the valves.
human ingenuity is incredible. make something out of nothing is excellent. Hi from the UK
Good job guys, from America.. 👍🏻
Thanks 🙏
Always impressed by these guys skills with minimal tools. Just shows what is possible with patience and skill.
that's how the pyramid was made.,lol
@@SkyBlue-fj5qc Yes, but they had the spaceships to move the blocks. So it hardly counts.

You forgot the valve saddles... And what about to compensate for the thickness of the band saw used in the first stage?
This is true creativity. Greetings to you from the State of Kuwait
Great Efforts Welldone✨
These guys never cease to amaze me. I wonder how long these parts last? I've noticed that most of these shops have minimal measuring equipment yet they still make presentable parts with minimal tooling. Kudos!!
1:01:47 Its a 3 phase motor driven by 1 phase line .Or a 1 phase motor with a damaged start condenser. Its need a manual turn to start😨
These people are afraid of no job! Well done! 💪
Greatings from Ukraine!
sincerely hope you people are okay over there.. from USA.
And NOT a computer/CNC machine in sight - brilliant skills and masterful employees.

Nope. Didn't see a lotta LEDS either.
Ok, but it would be $50,000 in labor if they weren't paid 15 cents per hour
I am mesmerized. How with minimum resources this guys can create such a magic. They must be wizards, Chapeau. Best regards and cheers from Venezuela.
they make machine gun with this type of material
It’s wonderful to see great work being done and young men learning by watching and doing. Thank You Kindly and Many Blessings! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Someone get this man a 3D printer.
I'll pitch in if you start a go fund me. We will ask them to redo vdo and update us later.
I like that old shaper!
Fantastic work. Well done. Mesmerizing to watch.. 🙏🙏
Good video ! 👍
That was art..
Well done guys 👍👍
Thanks
Real craftsman. Genius!
You have my admiration, congratulations on the beautiful work
It would have been good and for knowledge also if you had mentioned days consumed in pattern making ,to forging, and to final product , a very hard working community ,hats off

I really don't know how they do it it's like magic but they make it like a machine but it's a lot of work it totally amazes me!

Respekt for these people and their job 👍💪👌 Greetings from Germany 👋
Ja. Applaus 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Amazing job and ingenuity! Well done! From a retired Canadian machinist.
Monkeys see monkeys do !
Amazing to figure all that. I'm looking at how to make a cylinder head from the early days of engine building...nice job !
Molten metal + sandals 👍
Nádherná práce, zlaté ručičky všech zúčastněných. By mě jen zajímalo kolik času to reálné trvá vyrobit a opracovat takovou to hlavu?
This is my first time seeing someone without slippers.😂
Awesome work. Everyone works together. Love the videos ❤
So amazing he still has all his fingers…
What does this cost and I hope that engine is worth it

Yokluk insana neler yaptırıyor.bu yetenekli insanlara selam olsun maşallah
I am impressed although I HOPE I never end up with one of those heads, valve seat contact was too wide and the valves are not set at the same depth, this engine will have uneven compression but will likely run...

excellent travail
That isn't going to last long without hardened exhaust seats.

Perkins AD3 head. These retail for under £150 in the UK (don't ask me to give price in $US if you're too dopey to know what the exchange rate is). These guys are truly exceptional and resourceful craftsmen.
Wonder what engine those heads are from. Would be very interesting to get one of them and fit back on an engine and see if will actually run, if indeed it would even fit in the first place
Perkins diesel engines the 3 cyl version.
1cm tolerance on this head 😂
I really loved the part when that guy used the manual drill
