So many skilled craftsmen. The first guy who was making the pattern for the casting is one of the most skilled craftsman I've ever seen. Very IMPRESSIVE !
50 years ago I worked at Sterling Metals (UK) making cylinder heads and blocks. Today the pattern equipment for a head would be in the region of £300-400k. This vid was amazing - pattern equipment from scratch to make some replacement heads. Not to mention the moulding and core-making skills. Well impressed. Although I did wonder how they were going to make the water jacket core to keep the head from overheating. Answer - don't have one.
Интересно, каждый делает то, что умеет)) Специальный дядька на улице, который делает только точные дырки в 2х местах, специальный дядька, тот, кто замешивает песок в формочку, другой специальный дядька, затаптывает эту формочку, еще один дядька (видимо полегче) затаптывает маленькие детальки. These guys never cease to amaze me. I wonder how long these parts last? I've noticed that most of these shops have minimal measuring equipment yet they still make presentable parts with minimal tooling. Kudos!!
@@billhanson4921 This is diesel. But yes, it will not be a "good" engine. However taking into account this region of the world as long as tractor powered by this engine will work it will be ok.

Perkins AD3 head. These retail for under £150 in the UK (don't ask me to give price in $US if you're too dopey to know what the exchange rate is). These guys are truly exceptional and resourceful craftsmen.
the pattern maker guy (dark shiny jkt and grey hat) is really skilled - look at how he uses the tools he has! his ruler is so old and used its corners are round - hes also dressed up so its cold - high up or season??

Nosotros también somos fundición y me atrevo a decir que es el vídeo más completo que he visto en cuanto a los pasos que lleva desde que entra al taller una pieza usada o rota y sale luego una pieza nueva , me quedan ciertos faltantes o dudas en cuanto a la fabricación de los núcleos , hay huecos que salieron en la pieza que no le pusieron núcleos ! Cómo fue eso ??
creo que la pieza que fundieron y la pieza que maquinaron son diferentes. Cuando armaron el molde de arena, no vi que le pusieran el corazón para la camara de agua, y en la que maquinaron si hay camara de agua.... Cuando estan cepillando, tienen al lado una cabeza muestra. Imagino que esa es una pieza de un taller que fabrica la cabeza en serie.

not long no hardened valve seats in that cylinder head, it will wear out in a few thousand miles running on unleaded.

I said the same thing. I've been turning wrenches my whole life and I thought he was incredibly skilled. That guy is as good as they get.

В чугунных ГБЦ седла клапанов не предусмотрены. Их ставят только в алюминиевых головках.
