For anyone curious entropy is essentially the idea that over time things become less ordered. I prefer to use the word particular or special because it provides a better intuition. Imagine your room. In order for it to be organised there is a particular way it needs to be. Socks in the sock drawer etc. For it to be disorganised there are a great many configurations that would qualify. In a sense there are many generic dirty arrangements of your room. Since everything is constantly changing it is more likely that at a given point in time something will be in a more generic state than a more special state. This creates a tendancy, a "force" that drives things to being in a more generic state. This tendancy can be observed when mixing two liquid substances. At first they are in two particular locations seperated from each other but over time the particles of the substances move to the more generic arrangement of being all throughout the container and you are left with a homogenous mix of the two. This tendancy can be exploited to do work, and relates to many of the mechanics of how physical things in the universe, from boilers to human beings, work. The heat death is when the entire universe is in such a huge homogenous generic state that there is no reason for example for a bunch of gas to be in one place, or have enough heat there to be able to ignite or do anything. Gravity is the same in all directions, its just a big dirty mess where everything is basically the same everywhere.
