As a disabled person myself, it really upsets me when they cut scenes having to do with disabled people interacting with their children. In 'the theory of everything' Stephen drops his child and they cut it. Here, the child almost drowns, he can't do anything and they cut it. THESE THINGS HAPPEN AND IT IS REALISTIC TO SHOW IT.
Films cut things because of time, and/or because it doesn't add to the story/arc they are telling or the theme they are going for. If you watched the video, you'll hear they were not trying to make a documentary, or non-fictional film, even though they say, many of the things in it actually happened, they wanted to be cinematic. If it worked with the story arc well, it would have stayed in. Sometimes into cutting things can make a work feel more confused as a piece. I can absolutely understand why not seeing something that is in some way tangible or realistic and important for your experience as a disabled person might be upsetting or irksome, but it is a movie -- with all its time etc limitations and its artistic foci.
I love this movie. One of my fvrte. My fvrte scene is when the husbnd say goodbye to his wfe and son. I cnt imgne myself in this situation. It is very inspirationl to every couple and fmily. Not to give up, love and have faith in GOD.
This movie deserves more respect and attention

Natalie Zayas-Bazan oh man. I'm dying to see an extended version cut should there be one.✊

Claire's accent is beautiful
Everytime I watch an interview with Andrew he's with a new haircut!!
Danilo Almeida and next week, he will have the Peter Parker hairstyle. Taking a good guess! LOL!
Same, guess his hair grows quite fast.
Tracey Claver Magic i guess.
Wonderful film, it did make me wonder if it was made harder to act it knowing it was the producers parents story.
@@retinarental1603 the story is based on a real family. And Jonathan became a film producer,he produced the movie about his parents.
