The white pigment I use is an opaque watercolor - GOUACHE (Holbein)
I use it instead of my regular watercolor whites which are too transparent for my style of painting.

Hi Maria, your paintings are beautiful! I mostly paint on fabric for art quilts, but this looks like so much fun! I think I need to get some watercolor paints and give it a try. What brand paints do you recommend? I have a palate from my great aunt but the colors are not labeled with names. They are intense colors however. Thank you for any advice :-)
Hi Diana☺️🌷🐝thank you so much and painting on fabrics sounds sooo fun!!☺️I love and always recommend Holbein watercolors in tubes, although paints are a personal preference. I just love Holbein because they are super vibrant and easy to control - they don't add ox gall to their paints so they dry smooth too

Maria Raczynska they are called foxgloves. They grow wild here. I have them in my garden.

Calming and educational for me when I watched this today. Will you add more to your school on teachable? I will be seated in your cat class on Teachable soon and I'm so excited to give it a go. I don't have a couple paints needed from the list like the neutral tint and I forgot the other color but I perhaps can use something else or I might be headed to the art supply store over the week end. I do want some gouache so I am happy to have a few reasons to get me to go 40 miles to the art store. It's a favorite place but I spend more than I need to. Anyway, have a nice Friday..... ~ Karla
Hi Karla☺️thank you so much!! and yes, my next class on Teachable is coming up May 12th. 🐢😃For white gouache I totally recommend to have it, it makes a huge difference - it's an addition to my paintings when I paint hair etc and I love it... for Neutral tint, you could just go with Paynes Gray and if you really want to match it more, you could add tiny bit of Quin.Red to it to make it warmer🤗🌸
