A huge con for West Milford are extremely high taxes (coupled with a mediocre school system). On the pro side, beautiful scenery, safe, and friendly. As mentioned, commuting can be long, and the winters are much longer, colder, and snowier than places even nearby.

a downside is they have not laid down fiber cables so you are stuck with Optimum and max 1 Gig down, but really bad upload 35mb.

You're complaining about 1 gig down and 35mb up. Wow we would kill to get that up here. I live in Vernon and have Warwick WVT down is about 45mb and 2 maybe 3 mb up on a good day. With congestion it has gone down to 10 mb or less. I have to say that WVT still had party lines in Upper Greenwood lake in the early 70's. I am not kidding.

Black bear, bobcat, lynx, coyote, deer, rattlesnakes, copperheads, too many types of birds to count

Lol. Don’t believe that,.black bears and deer coyote no lynx grizzlies bobcats possibly but rare, very few and far between have rattlesnakes been found

@@Stayfocused1984 I lived there for 20 plus years. Why would you even grizzlies 🙄🤣. There are bobcats. There were/are occasional lynx. There are more rattlesnakes and coppeheads than you know. They keep out of sight.
