This video shows Collapsible Boat A floating, full of people, at time 0:00; the first plunge is mentioned in a caption at 0:58; and "the structure fails" at 4:00. It's all too slow. There was speed when the bridge went under. "Then suddenly, when we still seemed very near, we saw [that] the ship was sinking rapidly." "Just then the ship took a slight but definite plunge...and the sea came rolling up in a wave, over the steel-fronted bridge, along the deck below us, washing the people back in a dreadful huddled mass. Those that didn’t disappear under the water right away instinctively started to clamber up that part of the deck still out of the water, and work their way towards the stern, which was rising steadily out of the water as the bow went down. A few of the more agile leapt up on top of the officers’ quarters where Hemming and I were." "Water catches up with them and sweeps them up the deck toward the stern. Ship seems to be rushing forward and down, making the wave that engulfs them." "Now, without warning, she seemed to start forward, moving forward and into the water at an angle of about 15 degrees. This movement, with the water rushing up toward us, was accompanied by a rumbling roar, mixed with more muffled explosions. It was like standing under a steel railway bridge while an express train passes overhead, mingled with the noise of a pressed steel factory and wholesale breakage of china....We had no time to think now, only to act." [And they jumped overboard.] And Collapsible A was not loaded with people and floating about the deck. It was still upside down (or mostly so), and several people (some survived) were trying to get it over to the rail, and it had the davit ropes attached to it. "He was...overhauling the forward boat's fall. At this moment the ship dived, and we were all in the water." "While we were trying to get the boat up to the davits, the bridge went right under water." "when suddenly her (the forward) nose, on which I was, seemed to suddenly rise from underneath the water and I and a few more that were close by cut the ropes that held the boat to the falls (davits)." "Great waves engulfed me....I went down with the bows, but when she rebounded..." "I went to the place I had seen the collapsible boat on the boat deck, and to my surprise I saw the boat and the men still trying to push it off. I guess there wasn't a sailor in the crowd. They couldn't do it. I went up to them and was just lending a hand when a large wave came awash of the deck. The big wave carried the boat off. I had hold of an oarlock, and I went off with it. The next I knew...the boat was upside down, and I was under it." All of that happened in seconds, not minutes.
Yes I am aware of these events occurring at Collapsible A, this video was made almost a year ago and was a recreation of THGs 2023 theory. The people weren’t really animated great due to the lack of time I had and the computer I was using, same with the lifeboats. Though I have put together a Final 20 minutes animation for April 14th and all the boats are animated and it includes this event with Collapsible A. Thank you for the feedback 🙂
