Seeing these fine young people really gives me hope for the future. They have such amazing gifts and are so genuine and humble at the same time. They are symbols of the true wealth of Ireland that has survived the ages, against all odds. The music keeps coming up, it can’t be beaten down or beaten back, it is like a flower that never dies.

“They all have the singin in them”
I love the way she phrased that

Her first language is Irish. I’m sure that’s why she phrased it that way.

Wow. Pure. No shtick. I'm five generations removed from Ballina in Mayo but I'm there all the same. Greetings from Newfoundland, where we live and play this music.

@sarah Yes, exactly!! You may enjoy this, "Tea With Babe Walsh", this is just up the shore from where I live, about an hour. Typical accent of the area. th-cam.com/video/YJv94-bqMvQ/w-d-xo.html

The joy and humility I feel as a Catholic Irish woman is difficult to express. I praise the Lord and His Holy Mother for their grace and love upon this beautiful green land. I pray deeply that it is not harmed by wicked leaders. God bless Ireland and all of humanity! 🤗

The voice of his youngest brother from the farther side of the fireplace began to sing the air Oft in the Stilly Night. One by one the others took up the air until a full choir of voices was singing. They would sing so for hours, melody after melody, glee after glee, till the last pale light died down on the horizon, till the first dark nightclouds came forth and night fell......
He heard the choir of voices in the kitchen echoed and multiplied through an endless reverberation of the choirs of endless generations of children...[Extract Portrait of an Artist]. Thanks for keeping traditions alive!

They recently released an EP, simply called: "Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta", with 6 songs. Other than that, Séamus has played in different bands, one is called 'Hightime'. But as far as I know there's no full-length CD (yet) featuring both of them. One lovely recording is here in YT lasting 1,5 hours, called "Cuan an Cheoil Clár 10: Caoimhe Ní Fhlatharta agus Séamus Ó Flatharta".

Like someone else said, Bean Pháidín. It’s actually a pretty dark song about a woman who wishes all sorts of terrible things on the wife of the man she loves😅 but it’s a great song nonetheless
