Q1)How about if an applicant put some of the documents in a scanner, save them and send them over to the DPE by email for review so that way if there are any errors you can be stopped before the check ride starts and make some corrections? 1St)For my airplane instrument check ride and the instructor did not sign the proper space on the 8710 form. 2nd)for my airplane private, had done the 3 hours simulated instrument time when in fact must be done in an actual airplane under part 61....I had 3 hours of simulator for the instrument time because I was under part 141 rules at the time, but apply under part 61 ...caught by the DPE. Q2)What about sending your payment over early? Q3)Do you write the check out to the DPE himself, or does he or she have you put it under a business name, maybe for taxing/accounting purposes? Q4)If you pass your check ride, Can you have the DPE print your Temary certificate out on "Expensive" cotton paper? Got Plenty of It. Q5)I am not sure if the DPE needs or could use copies of your certificates, driver's license, PSA test results, medical ect for when they submit the paperwork to Oklahoma City but as a good gesture could the applicant make copies of those documents and give them to the DPE? Q6)What about using a POH in a PDF format, then going to the performance charts, you the applicant take a screenshot [Ctrl+Prt Scr]from your computer...then open up windows paint [Ctrl+V] to do your performance charts, weight and balance charts ect ...draw on them...print them out for that days check ride?
Franky, if you can't get things together for the check ride, what makes me think your ready for the real world flying experience????? Flying Helicopters is no joke. So, if an instructor is not satisfied with the student results, he has every right to be upset. If you can't handle it, get out of the business.
