And so I watched the rhythm ta one(I think that's the first one, right? And then I proceeded to this and I'm smiling ear to ear with your reaction to cherry blossom!! It's because that was how I reacted when I first listened to it too!! I totally get the gushing while listening to it 😆 It ended up being my most favorite song of 2023 🥹 It definitely deserves to be heard by more! I love your reaction. I was the opposite of you. I discovered iKON because of Bobby. During Kingdom I found out he was a member of iKON. At that time I was in love with Bobby's album Love and Fall--you should really check it out. You may also love from his new album Lucky Man (especially Heartbroken Playboy--it has a similar sound). Then we have iKON--they have so many songs that pull at your heart. I will say Drowning is a little different than Bobby's normal style, but we're pleased. Bobby music is so diverse. I think you are about to be amazed by both iKON and Bobby.
The thing about Bobby and iKON, each of their songs sounds very different so if you have missed even one song from them you have missed another distinct-sounding track even their b-sides but still retain their own distinctive sound. They are incredibly versatile and creative. Bobby wrote and produced these songs as well was the art director for the video and was also the performance director. He is a TRUE self-producing artist. Check out the credits of his songs, you won't see a bunch of other people there unlike a lot of "self-producing idols"(just pointing out the truth), yet he reinvents every time and they're all very distinct bops. iKON don't slack with their stage performances as well because they truly sing live and are great with adlibs. I'm glad you decided to explore them more because they have a lot of unique characteristics and have a lot to offer as a self-produced versatile group. Like you said, they're like a hidden but not hidden gem. That was so different from what you expected, right? Bobby's albums are full of different kinds of self-produced bops as well. I'm also glad that you picked up another strength from them which is the authenticity of emotions in their vocal delivery. I'm so happy for you. I'm happy for iKON. I'm happy for real art and artists. I've been watching different interpretations and Koreans' explanations about the lyrics and video as well. Bobby really is a multi-talented creative genius. Btw, iKON is a huge touring group in Asia for years and is having their first World Tour this year. Concerts is where iKON really shines. iKON with a live audience is their forte. They only have bops, truly performs live, and have incredible stage presence and crowd control. They might also start enlisting next year. I highly recommend experiencing a full iKON concert at least once in your life because they are truly worth seeing live and will give you that rawness that you love. A real concert experience.
