I don’t understand why God does not turn things around for the people that did turn around and do good. It seems as though there were generation after generation that did what was good in the side of the Lord for whatever reason and yet their children and children’s children who would read about the things that they did or hear about them would be scratching their head saying why didn’t God do something instead of allowing our people to be destroyed again and again like why did King Manessa reign for 50 some odd years if he was horrible why wouldn’t God’s judgment stop that?
In the previous chapter we see the word of the Lord to Josiah saying because he was faithful he wouldn’t see or experience the calamity but, the law says if someone was to walk contrary to it his sins and judgement would be past down, God is just and doesn’t lie so it happens that way. As there are blessings there are also curses and it’s the people who chose to do what was evil and that has consequences for generations to come
Remember Adam and Eve they broke the sin they brought sin to this world so that’s why it’s like that but one day god is coming back to fix everything!✝️🫡
