    I've been a Luthier, Amp & Effects tech for 36 years now. I've met Thomas several times when he worked for Frank Zappa. He truly is a mad scientist, a very kind one. He has teamed up with many manufacturers over the years to produce some amazing set ups for his customers. By doing this, Thomas has helped shape the guitar tones of several of the best players of our time. He's nearly 70 and he's still a big kid when it comes to this stuff. We need people like him and Dallas Schoo who push the envelope of what's possible.

    Thomas is the coolest guy ever, I met him when he was touring with Yngwie and he was so gracious and friendly. An honest man in the world of money music. He is not only guitar tech to the best, but a great human being as well. GODSPEED Mr. Nordegg!

    So... he took an Evo replica, which there aren't many of, and butchered it until it became a Line 6 Variaxe without being a Line 6 product.

      Seems odd, but not at all if you know Thomas

    Hi
    What is the piezo system that is install in this guitar.
    It's look like it can be install in any Floyd ou Kahler.
    Is it a invention from Thomas or is it possible to buy it?

    • @sillennium
      @sillennium  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Théo Combier It is something that was created by Peavey I believe. You can purchase it as far as i know.

    • @severalpaperclips
      @severalpaperclips 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Théo Combier In this video, Thomas is using a guitar with a magnetic hexaphonic pickup. It is part of the Antares Autotune for Guitar custom installation kit, which also includes additional electronic components that are installed in the guitar for signal processing. Antares also now offer an equivalent floor processor "Antares ATG-1" which can be used with any guitar with a 13-pin output (simplest and cheapest option is probably to install a Roland GK-3 on an existing guitar).

    But doesn't it mean, you have to abandon your pickup and switch to antares's one? That would butcher the tone, guitarists are used to for years.

    guys out of touch with the 'gitar community' as a whole. This is a really cool product but its a NICHE thing, it will never be mainstream, not for a long long time. When people are happy to let their computers play the guitar for them because they are so much more in tune. and that , thanfully aint today...
