    Have this anorak, and love it. use it for most things, but mostly casual outdoor use. Wore it in the 1.th December snowstorm we had in Denmark - this it did not handle well. So use it for anything else than really bad weather.

    • @trekitt

      Agreed, Fjallraven produce some thicker, more weather-resistant options for severe conditions, but this is ideal for everyday/light outdoor use. Harry

    taking into account the outdoor market has been flooded with variations of SoftShell & HardShell jackets. i just can't see where this fits in. how is this anorak going to be better than a fully waterproof & windproof outer shell?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's just a nice, breathable outer layer when it's not absolutely hooning it down. I'd wear it over a cosy fleece when taking the dog for a walk in the local woods, or popping down to the pub in it. Harry

    Hi, was this windproof and do you think it’s enough for weather with 5-7 degrees? Thank you.

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When fully waxed it is windproof, wash that wax out and you have a much more breathable piece.
      With the right layering underneath 5-7 degrees won't be an issue in the Vardag Anorak.

    Looks good. Really likes it, however not sure the sizes. I am thinking between L and XL, checked onsite and L size in chest has 104 cm exactly what my chest has, however I would like to have some extra warm jumper under the jacket, therefore my question is if XL will be better choice?

    • @trekitt

      Possibly, but I can't say for sure. Might be a good idea to order both sizes and send back the one that doesn't fit.

    Couple of questions:
    1. Are the side zips two-way (aka pit zips)?
    2. How accessible is the kangaroo pouch when wearing a backpack with waist belt?
    Thanks

    • @niallmaclennan
      @niallmaclennan 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope. The side zip is on one side only. It's designed for ease of getting it on and off as well as ventilation. The front pockets have good sized openings so you could access with a normal waist strap on a rucksack.

    How noisy is this fabric? Rustle free?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Whilst not totally silent, the fabric is a lot quieter than most outer fabrics, especially when the wax has softened through use a little.

    How does one get in and out of such things? Will I lose my glasses, sense of balance or dignity in the process?

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a large side zip that should make putting on/taking off a breeze. We've heard mixed reports that you can exit through the top too to ensure glasses remain firmly in place, but that would guarantee a loss of dignity and potentially balance, so we'd probably recommend the side zip and over the head method...

    If the logo placement is traditional for anoraks that’s cool, personally I would have preferred it on the sleeve, hem or chest.
    I just tried the Kaipak from Harry’s video and it was a bit small, next I’ll try the next size up or revisit Skogso, Keb or this one!

    • @trekitt
      @trekitt  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ben Does have quite a long torso, but if you've already tried the Vardag Anorak in person and not found the length to be suitable, that's fair enough. The back length is measured by Fjallraven as 79cm, both the Singi-X Anorak (86cm) and the Anorak No.8 (88cm) have longer back lengths, maybe one of those is more suitable for your needs .
