We found the same recently, very quiet on camping car and municipal sites, reasonably priced with facilities. Few GB. It was busier on coastal Aires, plenty spaces on inland Aires. La Rochelle was very hot 35 degrees, to hot 🥵

Just bought a new larger buggy for my three Paps as they are getting older. The small buggy has been great for 11 yr old Hazel with osteoporosis and spondylitis. She walks 20 mins then rides , then walks. She finds it hard to stand still now when I chat with friends so buggy’s are great!

Great start to it all young Redders's and no trip to the vets this time . Little too warm for us old Redders's but enjoy what you're doing . I'm with Corin on the menu del dia and I think it's only the french who think french cuisine is the finest in the world . I personally can't eat slugs and snails and frogs legs but I can devour a plate of paella or patatas brava or tortilla , and I'm in heaven with a coffee and brandy . You've wet my appetite for the rest of this trip and when you're back in November we'll be preparing to go . Have a great trip , we're sure you'll enjoy it , as will we . Enjoyed watching. Live in portugal and my husband cycles the N2 twice a year with friends. We are back up starting in again mid October. Hope you have a great time. It's a great route and some amazing places. Look our for the Fluval/river beaches. Lovely places to cool down.
Wilf is so funny, love him! When I was little we had a Dalmation and I'll never forget his head regularly popping out of the very long grass as he jumped his way around the field. Enjoy the remainder of your travels x

Great vlog guys, learning so much from the little tips you give like the different sized water connectors and choosing your pitch carefully for the position sun. Looks like the new water purifier is doing a great job too! Goodness, well done on managing the dogs in those high temperatures 🌡 We rescued one of our dogs off the streets in Cyprus and flew him back to the UK and when we get high temperatures here he copes so much better than the other 2, so dogs definitely do adapt to the heat in the longer term but short term ours just hit the deck and sleep! Glad yours are all coping well with their special mats and so on. Lucky doggos! I've been looking at a website called Cool My Camper for an AC system for use when on hookup and hadn't thought about the amps issue for running it until Redders mentioned it but then I looked on the campingcar website and it does say the ampage of the power for each site so that's really useful to know for planning trips 😊. Great vlog. Love Wilfs bounce 😂. We are fairly new to motorhoming, we did 10 nights in France and loved it. We have booked Spain over Christmas. Booked a site near Valencia for 5 nights from christmas eve and leaving here on the 20th. Although ferry not booked yet. Do you think thats enough time to drive down. My other half loves a long drive and reckons it's doable easy 😂. Also need to sort our AHC's for the girls ❤

Hi you two We are busy setting up our new motor home . Just a couple of questions:- 1. What size rear box do you have . A Fiamma 500,360 or 320 . Yours looks just the size we need . 2 . Are you happy with your seat covers ? If so where did you buy them ? We really enjoy your vlogs . Another great video, we would love to go to France and it looks fantastic with some of the sites you have stayed at, but having never done it in a car let alone a Motorhome or trip abroad, we wouldnt know where to start. Do you think you could do something on what we would need to do from booking a site, what the tolls are like, or just generally how you plan something like that, unless you have already done a video?. Hi guys , we’ve covered it over a few vlogs , from getting a crit air sticker , getting a camping car card ( very worthwhile ) and using sites 🙂 quite a lot in our back catalogue , also apps like park4nights to find places , you can use via Michelin on the web to calculate tolls too , recommend a good sat nav ( see our ohrex review ) .. and what you need for France , hi viz vests, uk sticker , beam deflectors , spare bulbs , don’t forget breakdown cover and medical insurance 🙂🙂 do it once then it’s easy ❤️❤️
Hi guys, just to pick ur brains, we haven’t used CampingCard aires yet. Got a card ready, just checking we understand it correctly, u said to put ur card over top of the keypad to activate water etc. do u still have to do this if u scanned ur card under the keypad on entry? Or do u do both and it wipes extra €5 off if ur camping or deducts it if u don’t??? Also do u swipe ur card under pad in entry and exit. We r a little confused and r going to France in a few weeks. Hi guys ! The card is simply a measure to stop anyone but cardholders accessing the water , it doesn’t charge any extra if you use it once or a hundred times . The card is to be used when entering or leaving , if you enter and leave within a couple of hours it’s 5 euros , it assumes you’ve used the services , if you then return and stay overnight you’ll be charged the full 24 hour fee minus the 5 euros 👍 so you can come and go as you wish , it’s not pay each time you enter or exit 👍 hope that helps.. you’ll only ever pay a max of the overnight fee

Good afternoon ! The awning is a kampa air 260 , it’s great and thoroughly recommended, we picked it up second hand, although barely used 🙂 don’t rely on a foot or hand pump , get an electric one , so much easier 🙂🙂 we have 2 x 100 ah lithium batteries , really good , just make sure your charging system is capable of charging them , mine wasn’t so did a few simple victron upgrades 🙂 ( a few vlogs back ) well worth it ! 🙂
That was a surprise. We stopped at that Clerac aire in January but they have cut lots of trees down and got rid of the muddy road since then. Is Wilf half hare?
Loving wilf, got so much happy energy, did you consider getting the dogs clipped really short for the journey, makes hella difference, we always get our ones clipped in the heat

We have never been charged fees, ironically until today, I needed to get money from a cash point quickly, unfortunately the cash point I used (the bank) charged €5 fee for me to take out €70. Usually I would get my card back and forget it and try another bank (mostly they are free) but I needed the money and hadnt time to find another, so grudgingly paid it. We have found revolut to be incredible for our travels, 23 countries so far with no issues at all. Changing up money is easy and the budgeting part of the app is excellent

my rv is a concordia centurion actros width of 2.5meters height is 3.85 wheight is 26tons plus we have a mini cooper in the garage at rear a king size bed in the rear plus a double bunk bed we use for our dog as he is a belguim shepard bigger than a german shep and it as a payload of 5 ton so plenty of space for 2 and dog what i do is go to norway/sweden/denmark from may till end of august then head south to spain for winter as i nave duel passport for spain and uk

Good morning , the back box is on the cycle rack , and the rack is rated at 50 kg , but we never get anywhere near that , it’s for bulky items like the silver screen, chairs, mats , our dogs buggy , really adds a great amount of storage for our compact Moho 👍🙂

Hi Mike , we use our sat nav programmed with “no tolls” and have a general idea of the area we wish to go to, sometimes we might get sidetracked and stop at a town we pass through, but it’s mainly our sat nav, or it can be done by using an app, we use via Michelin as this can plot a route with or without tolls 🙂 hope that helps for future planning .. the sat nav we use was reviewed by us a few vlogs back ( ohrex ) it’s working well for us 🙂 hope that helps 👍 however we will add this question with a fuller reply in an upcoming vlog ! Good morning, no we just used the standard 3 pin orange cable, no issues at all, the rcd would trip before any issues , it is a huge amperage , we had to check twice ! I guess it means if you have aircon etc you’ll be fine 👌
I find Toll Guru better than Via Michelin for checking on tolls. Easier to use and more accurate as you can select 'motorhome' . I had never heard of Toll Guru but it was recommended by another TH-camr and its great.
As we are with 3 , the EU roaming data is a crazy price , you can buy sims locally ( assuming unlocked phone ) or I use Smarty … data coverage is pretty good in cities and some towns , but sometimes there is nothing between places , we use starlink which is great for remote places , some smaller areas have poor coverage and distances between towns quite a distance 👌🙂

Wilf does what my late father (pilot) called 'circuits and bumps' ie running round madly in circles, worryingly referring I think to learning to fly small planes, someone will tell me if I'm wrong 😂😂😂 Will you get him a pet passport in Spain? I'm going to renew my 2 in Belgium this trip, vets v helpful there. Another tip for draining grey water ' cos I have a very low van I use an old folding bowl then tip into the bucket less chance of the bucket collapsing! Carry on enjoying the trip! Sue 😊🐶🍷🚐

Great vlog guys, learning so much from the little tips you give like the different sized water connectors and choosing your pitch carefully for the position sun. Looks like the new water purifier is doing a great job too! Goodness, well done on managing the dogs in those high temperatures 🌡 We rescued one of our dogs off the streets in Cyprus and flew him back to the UK and when we get high temperatures here he copes so much better than the other 2, so dogs definitely do adapt to the heat in the longer term but short term ours just hit the deck and sleep! Glad yours are all coping well with their special mats and so on. Lucky doggos! I've been looking at a website called Cool My Camper for an AC system for use when on hookup and hadn't thought about the amps issue for running it until Redders mentioned it but then I looked on the campingcar website and it does say the ampage of the power for each site so that's really useful to know for planning trips 😊. Great vlog. Love Wilfs bounce 😂. We are fairly new to motorhoming, we did 10 nights in France and loved it. We have booked Spain over Christmas. Booked a site near Valencia for 5 nights from christmas eve and leaving here on the 20th. Although ferry not booked yet. Do you think thats enough time to drive down. My other half loves a long drive and reckons it's doable easy 😂. Also need to sort our AHC's for the girls ❤

Another great video, we would love to go to France and it looks fantastic with some of the sites you have stayed at, but having never done it in a car let alone a Motorhome or trip abroad, we wouldnt know where to start. Do you think you could do something on what we would need to do from booking a site, what the tolls are like, or just generally how you plan something like that, unless you have already done a video?. Hi guys , we’ve covered it over a few vlogs , from getting a crit air sticker , getting a camping car card ( very worthwhile ) and using sites 🙂 quite a lot in our back catalogue , also apps like park4nights to find places , you can use via Michelin on the web to calculate tolls too , recommend a good sat nav ( see our ohrex review ) .. and what you need for France , hi viz vests, uk sticker , beam deflectors , spare bulbs , don’t forget breakdown cover and medical insurance 🙂🙂 do it once then it’s easy ❤️❤️

Hi guys, just to pick ur brains, we haven’t used CampingCard aires yet. Got a card ready, just checking we understand it correctly, u said to put ur card over top of the keypad to activate water etc. do u still have to do this if u scanned ur card under the keypad on entry? Or do u do both and it wipes extra €5 off if ur camping or deducts it if u don’t??? Also do u swipe ur card under pad in entry and exit. We r a little confused and r going to France in a few weeks. Hi guys ! The card is simply a measure to stop anyone but cardholders accessing the water , it doesn’t charge any extra if you use it once or a hundred times .
The card is to be used when entering or leaving , if you enter and leave within a couple of hours it’s 5 euros , it assumes you’ve used the services , if you then return and stay overnight you’ll be charged the full 24 hour fee minus the 5 euros 👍 so you can come and go as you wish , it’s not pay each time you enter or exit 👍 hope that helps.. you’ll only ever pay a max of the overnight fee

Good afternoon ! The awning is a kampa air 260 , it’s great and thoroughly recommended, we picked it up second hand, although barely used 🙂 don’t rely on a foot or hand pump , get an electric one , so much easier 🙂🙂 we have 2 x 100 ah lithium batteries , really good , just make sure your charging system is capable of charging them , mine wasn’t so did a few simple victron upgrades 🙂 ( a few vlogs back ) well worth it ! 🙂
That was a surprise. We stopped at that Clerac aire in January but they have cut lots of trees down and got rid of the muddy road since then. Is Wilf half hare?

We have never been charged fees, ironically until today, I needed to get money from a cash point quickly, unfortunately the cash point I used (the bank) charged €5 fee for me to take out €70. Usually I would get my card back and forget it and try another bank (mostly they are free) but I needed the money and hadnt time to find another, so grudgingly paid it.
We have found revolut to be incredible for our travels, 23 countries so far with no issues at all. Changing up money is easy and the budgeting part of the app is excellent

Hi Linda ! We just have a direction / area in mind , set the sat nav and go , it’s combined with apps such as park4nights and what we see as we travel , we will do an update in the next vlog ref this , which will hopefully help ❤️
my rv is a concordia centurion actros width of 2.5meters height is 3.85 wheight is 26tons plus we have a mini cooper in the garage at rear a king size bed in the rear plus a double bunk bed we use for our dog as he is a belguim shepard bigger than a german shep and it as a payload of 5 ton so plenty of space for 2 and dog what i do is go to norway/sweden/denmark from may till end of august then head south to spain for winter as i nave duel passport for spain and uk

Are those Back Boxes worth it? do they hold much weight?
Good morning , the back box is on the cycle rack , and the rack is rated at 50 kg , but we never get anywhere near that , it’s for bulky items like the silver screen, chairs, mats , our dogs buggy , really adds a great amount of storage for our compact Moho 👍🙂

Hi Mike , we use our sat nav programmed with “no tolls” and have a general idea of the area we wish to go to, sometimes we might get sidetracked and stop at a town we pass through, but it’s mainly our sat nav, or it can be done by using an app, we use via Michelin as this can plot a route with or without tolls 🙂 hope that helps for future planning .. the sat nav we use was reviewed by us a few vlogs back ( ohrex ) it’s working well for us 🙂 hope that helps 👍 however we will add this question with a fuller reply in an upcoming vlog ! Good morning, no we just used the standard 3 pin orange cable, no issues at all, the rcd would trip before any issues , it is a huge amperage , we had to check twice ! I guess it means if you have aircon etc you’ll be fine 👌

I find Toll Guru better than Via Michelin for checking on tolls. Easier to use and more accurate as you can select 'motorhome' . I had never heard of Toll Guru but it was recommended by another TH-camr and its great.

How do you guys find 4G & 5G coverage in France and Spain?
As we are with 3 , the EU roaming data is a crazy price , you can buy sims locally ( assuming unlocked phone ) or I use Smarty … data coverage is pretty good in cities and some towns , but sometimes there is nothing between places , we use starlink which is great for remote places , some smaller areas have poor coverage and distances between towns quite a distance 👌🙂
We are considering Starlink but, overall, I think it will be too expensive for our use case.
It is expensive but always gets a signal, which keeps up uploading , but for general use it is a bit pricey 👍🙂

Great video, made me really look forward to leaving for France in about 3 weeks, just shortish trip before hopefully Portugal in the New Year, hope the heat dies down soon! Wilf does what my late father (pilot) called 'circuits and bumps' ie running round madly in circles, worryingly referring I think to learning to fly small planes, someone will tell me if I'm wrong 😂😂😂 Will you get him a pet passport in Spain? I'm going to renew my 2 in Belgium this trip, vets v helpful there. Another tip for draining grey water ' cos I have a very low van I use an old folding bowl then tip into the bucket less chance of the bucket collapsing! Carry on enjoying the trip! Sue 😊🐶🍷🚐
