- In Season 11 , Episode 2 we will follow James Holst and In-Depth Outdoors Pro Staff Pat McSharry to stay at Crawfords Camp on Whitefish Bay, Lake of the Woods. As James Holst and Pat McSharry race to beat a snowstorm, they encounter one of the hottest muskie bites of the year. If you like Big Fish, especially Big Muskies - you are going to love this brand new episode of In-Depth Outdoors TV. We have 24 episodes remaining, and our next destination is unknown. Much of the Ice Belt is just now starting to see ice forming on small lakes and ponds. We don't know where we will end up next week, but lets hope the fish cooperate!

Crawfords Camp is located on the east central side of Lake of the Woods, on Whitefish Bay in Ontario, Canada. The area in front of, and surrounding Crawfords Camp provides access to a variety of gamefish available in the area: Lake Trout, Muskie, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie, Perch, Whitefish, Sauger and Ling Cod. One of the best shows I've seen guys. Aside from the incredible fishing and fishery that LOTW is, the scenery alone is enough of a reason to watch this episode. It's indescribably beautiful.

Wicked show guys. I think I'll be doing my first musky trip next fall. As for ice fishing, come north(MB). Going for tigers and maybe bows and browns this weekend on the ice. Bigger lakes not frozen yet, but soon.

great show. I just got back from a Muskies Canada "outing" on the French River. biggest caught was a 53. mine was a paltry 37.... all our fish were contacted trolling 10 and 14 inch Jakes

I've gotta share this vid with a buddy of mine who we've both decided to try musky fishing for the 1st this upcoming season (Note that we hardly ever fish in general)..... Although it might sound crazy but - I've bought a boat & acquiring as much Gear as possible due to the influence this show has given me.... especially when you're in the Duluth to Hayward area as We're from Superior

Drop the plastic Scotty rod holders. You pull Parry's or Plows at 4.0mph and hit a rock or fish they will snap. Downeasters. Best rod holders out there.
I never catch muskies when Im fishing for them, its only when I am using 12 lb line with a tiny crank bait I seem to catch them

I was wondering if you guys were going to do a northern pike show on the Ice.
We usually like to close out the end of ice season with a nice pike episode, somewhere near the tail end. Last year we did great on Sioux Narrows, we may go back to that area.

Are those citrix or komodos? I love my citrix its caught me fish casting and trolling this year. That clicker is super nice

He just said he doesn't use the 10-inch Jakes anymore he uses 13 or 14 in lures and then he pulled a 10in jake out of its mouth
That’s a 13” grandma. There is also 14” jakes how would you be able to tell the difference
There is no way to show on a camera how big those fish actually are

Why can't you ice fish for musky? Is it to do with seasons?
You can, however where we are based in Minnesota the season is closed in the Winter.

I'm thinking a couple weeks yet. With the rain and warm temps headed towards the Midwest tonight / tomorrow what little ice that's out there is going to be sketchy at best.

James Holst yeah no kidding, all the snow here in duluth is now gone, and we wont see hardwater here for at least a few weeks, actually just hoping to get out by christmas!

How far off bottom are you pulling your lures?
There is no real simple answer, our presentations in this episode ranged from 1 foot off the bottom to 30 feet off the bottom.
How do they not measure those monsters? I'm just too curious and wanna know

What speed were you guys fishing at.
That's great to hear about the speed you were trolling at. I, too, have caught muskies in late Nov trolling at the same speeds. Everyone thinks you have to slow way down and use suckers for muskies in the late fall but that's just not true!! As Buck Perry said, you have to control your depth and speed. Sometimes that speed isn't slow.
Not sure if I missed it during the show, but did you guys mention the water temperature you were fishing? I'm wondering if there's still time for me to go out and get one :)
