My sister got diagnosed with uterine cancer, and underwent a radical hysterectomy at 30. The cancer was found only after the 3rd time she ended in ER over what they defined as "normal period pain" which was brushed off everytime, she only got ibuprofen and was sent home. I urge women to take their health into their hands and to seek medical help. If something doesn't feel right, if something is interfering with your life, please get it checked and don't stop till you get answers.
i was diagnosed with PCOS in January of this yr & i honestly wish i went to the doctor sooner. i was experiencing so many irregular period symptoms for over a year before i went. very informative video!!
Seriously I wish there were multiples of you so that I could be your patient. I’m 30 years old and have never felt like I’ve had a good OB or one that listens. They put my on BC with no explanation why - I take responsibility because I should have done my own research. Then this past year an NP was examining me and handed me a post it note with the words “lichen sclerosis” on it and told me to look it up… I am really feeling defeated as a woman in this healthcare system.
I got my period yesterday and sometimes it looks like a lot and I showed my mom my pad bc I was concerned and she said it was normal. Can you make a video with the same pads and putting different amounts to show what’s heavy and what is not?
I have irregular periods but the most regular it is is every 2 week for 2 weeks! Its a pretty miserable life and my dr keeps saying its just my normal cycle. I have tried different pills but the hormones make me feel like not me. Ive never seen a gynaecologist only a gp. Have had my period since 11 and now 24, would a gyno be able to help at all?
My issue is the weeks leading up to it, I am absolutely miserable. Im 42 and had 5 children and after my Tubal. My breasts swell 3 sizes bigger than normal and cannot be touched. I go into this dark place mentally, my skin breaks out terrible, and the second it starts I feel better. I’ve gained 50lbs from the cravings and I get that I should be able to control eating the sweets and salty. Ive seen doctors and because I had blood clot and stroke at 28. I have high blood pressure as well. They won’t prescribe Birth Control and say there is nothing I can do. I would really like to find out why and go from there versus take antidepressants that I don’t need any other time. I want them to just take it all out and than replace the hormones. Idk but I will pay to come see you if you can help me
Great and informative video! I think my cycle is 42 days. I’m on my third month post birth control and things have been wacky! I’m glad to know 42 days is normal but will that make ttc difficult?? Do you have a video on this?
@@DrJenniferLincoln I went to my yearly medical check up and they gave me options such as taking a PILL that take it away OR using creams on the area. I did choose the pill and since I haven’t felt or seen any symptoms!
I've seen videos where ppl claim that taking maca root/vitamin c or other supplements helps regulate your cycle or start your period, is this true and based off facts? and would you recommend for someone with irregular periods to do this?
My periods have always been heavy. I change out a Tampax super tampon every hour. When I brought this up to my OBGYN they said “oh well you’re Latina, you guys tend to have period problems, so it’s okay.” is there truth to that? If I’m Latina, this rule doesn’t apply to me?
You should bring up bleeding disorders to your doctor! I had the same problem and it turns out I have von willebrands disease. You can get diagnosed with a simple blood test.
Thanks for a great question! I would say it totally depends - if sexually active, we should check in annually. But if not and periods aren't an issue, than it may not be needed. Great idea to make an individual plan with your doc!
I have never truly had a normal cycle. I started when I was 12. But when I was 14 I noticed that I was skipping so I started to track it. I went to the doctor after 90 days of have none. Then I was told to wait another 3. but I menstruated during the fifth month. My cycle was 138 days. After that 2 months later I had 2 normal cycles. Then ... POOOFFFFF, My cycles were avergaomg around 90-100 days. So I went to the endocrinologist and I had an ultrasound and blood test. I was diagnosed with PCOS. I'm on the lighter side of the spectrum. My testosterone was a little above normal. I went to the obgyn who said it wasn't bad and that I just have a long lute phase. But recently I spotted but no period. So far this is my longest cycle. 142 days. no period in sight. When should I call my obgyn. I'm currently 18.
I have pcos will I get my period back if I lose some weight ? It’s been a couple months I’m not even sure. I stop taking bc i should probably go back on it :(
Is it normal to not withdrawal bleed at all even when taking the placebo pill? I have been on BC for roughly 5 years and have only noticed this year that I am not bleeding at all during placebo week as I have previously
I went to the GYN because it had been 50 days since my last period so I thought it might be POS but it wasnt....so what do you recommend doing? This is the first time its happened and I'm kind of stressing about it
There are a few reasons periods can be late or absent, so I'd be sure to discuss it with your doc - they may want to do some additional testing. Good luck!
Hm? To begin with, your voice was hardly audible. And yes, I had the volume at it's fullest capacity! ... Also, you portrayed yourself too delicately, too discreetly. What you need to do DOCTOR is assert yourself in a way that tells your audiences and your patients that you are in charge. In other words, when patients come to your office, they have to do WHATEVER you suggest that they do! Why? Because you are a highly qualified doctor and you are there to determine what exactly is the cause of the problem or problems & to resolve the issue(s) by recommending a treatment plan. Otherwise, thank you for this educational video. Now, I have a better idea of what females of my species experience on a deeper personal level.

I love your videos and tik toks! Sending love from Australia 🇦🇺

Could you make a video of what it could mean is you’re having pain during intercores
If*
great idea! I do have some content on IG about vaginismus, which is sometimes one reason. But great idea to add more!
This is such helpful information!
Do you have a video on the best pads and tampons to use ?

I have a question! Could you tell me OR make a video on how to treat a YEAST INFECTION? I am NEED OF HELP SOON.
See your doctor! Once diagnosed antifungals are often prescribed!

I thought 45 days was too long? I'm currently on day 39 which is unusual for me
I’m a huge fan of you Jennifer. 😀
thank you!!
@@DrJenniferLincoln your welcome
Honestly worried my only problem is why don't I get regular periods , one month now than next month no periods .What to do I don't know 🥺🥺..

I know it’s recommended for first gynecology appointment at 13-15, but how often should appointments be after that? btw huge fan!

Hi! I got my period about a year and 2 months ago. It was normal last year but so far this year I only get my period every two months, is this normal?
Can you make a video about pcos
What would be considered a normal amount of bleeding measured in ml, for those using a menstrual cup?
My period came 6 days early and my cycle is always on time. This hasn’t happened to me, is this a cause for concern?

While im not a medical professional, I think you should definitely go to your obgyn again. Hope everything gets better ❤
Is being underweight a reason for irregular periods?
Can you review Chlrophyll please?
Do you have a video on “fake periods” while being on the birth control pill?
Ik you probably won’t see this but is it normal for your discharge so smell really foul after your period?
Hi! What is your advice on a possible cyst?
Can you talk about PMDD. I got diagnosed at 15 but none of my doctors actually tell what it is.
I have a few TikToks and IG posts on it but I’ll add it to my list!
What if you don’t have periods at all and been on depo
I’ve had an irregular period since I was 15 years old and now i’m 20…what does that mean?
I started my first period in late October and it has been over 70 days since I’ve gotten it. I also am not 13 yet should I be concerned?
I have pcos will I get my period back if I lose some weight ? It’s been a couple months I’m not even sure. I stop taking bc i should probably go back on it :(

yes, sure can be!
Any recommandations on apps to track periods that shows graphics of hormones and phases?
I recommend Flo app (disclosure: I make content for them!) but I am not sure if they show that kind of graphics with every cycle though!
