Whoever does the soundtrack for the Blacklist has the literal best taste in music. They always pick some amazing songs that just match well with the whole scene. Kudos to that guy.

I felt down from my chair when I realized that Liz was still alive and that Alexander Kirk was Liz's father.
It actually disappointed me because I feel like it cheapened the audience and her death. Haha, they pulled a comic book death on us.

I just found this song because of the Blacklist and I‘m so addicted to it right now. It is so deep and you can just think all the time about the meaning of it. One of my favorite songs ever probably. A shame that it wasn’t more popular at that time and just a big thank you to the Blacklist team, for introducing us this masterpiece

What does the metaphore " everyone thinks i dodged a bullet but i think i shot the gun " mean ?
@@theleggend27 when someone says to you “you dodged a bullet” it means that you’re lucky you got out of that because it was a bad situation or in this case a bad relationship, but his adding of “but I think I shot the gun” is him saying it was his fault that it was bad, not the other persons, like everyone else is implying.

What a fantastic tune. Words can't describe how great this tune is.
Like many others, I'm here because of Blacklist. This is at least the 3rd time I've rewatched, so already knew what was going to happen... but the writing was SO good in the final episode of Season 3, that I STILL got goosebumps at the end.
Between the race to get to Liz, Tom, and Agnes, the dynamic of betrayal between Kaplan & Red, Ressler telling Cooper that Liz is actually alive... And then at the end, when Kirk tells Liz that he is her father, and this song playing as it all unfolds... just WOW

This show never ceases to amaze me! Whaaaaaaaat?!!?!!!!??? I found myself hitting the table at different points but somewhere in the corner of my mind I knew that Liz was alive. So that didnt surprise me; more satisfied and relieved even.

+Phillip Siddiq I was about to declare Lizzy a virgin birth, given how frustratingly long The Blacklist took to get to pinning a tail on that donkey.
As things go, this show's taught me to occasionally revisit shows that I'd previously given up on (it is too preposterous and, until this season, was very uneven).
The Blacklist's ending was really powerful and, like yourself, it has me looking forward to where they go from here, next season.
+Phillip Siddiq Never heard this song before Blacklist. Loved this show from day one But, love everything James Spader does. BUT, an added bonus to this show is the great, and mostly obscure music they play. Some, like Radar Lov e, are popular and familiar, but most I have never heard before Blacklist. I am sure the artists are thrilled that their songs are chosen for this show.

I remember when Dembe told Red that he needed to tell Lizzy the truth and Red dismissed it out of hand. If Alexander is her father, will she turn on Red. The painting which shows Lizzy pouring dirt over Reds' grave. Buckle up for the new season! 💯

I heard this song for the first time today and it grabs me so deeply and makes me cry..I can't help it. I just ended a 10 years relationship with my husband. 10 years of struggling financially, and he relapsed on heroin very badly a couple years ago and we almost ended up homeless. But I stayed by his side to help him get clean..Now that he's clean and inherited some substancial amount of money, he just kicked me to the curb with absolutely nothing. I sure as hell didn't dodge the bullet, but maybe I shot the gun by choosing him 10 years ago. I'm not gonna try and make it even, you're way ahead by now..

I love Greg laswell... Anytime anyone asks me what type of music I like I always name him first. I never name genres.
He is incredible. not sure why he doesn't have more commercial success- but his songs are amazing!
I'm the same way, actually. However, my relationship to Laswell is kinda weird: Every odd album released (Good Movie, Three Flights from Alto Nido, and Landline) are very optimistic and upbeat, while the even albums (through toledo, Take a Bow, and Everyone Thinks I Dodged a bullet) seem to be more down. Maybe that's just me. Then again, I relate so much to this song, especially since it came out after my last breakup. ("Everyone thinks I dodged a bullet" meaning I managed to avoid a potential heartbreak with someone who might've been unstable, "but I think I shot the gun" meaning I feel like I was the one who hurt her even though she broke up with me).
It also didn't help that, during the time of this album's production, Laswell had divorced Ingrid Michaelson.
Every time there's a new season of The Blacklist, I always start afresh! I've been doing this since the release of season 4.
Whoever does the soundtracks is poetic!
This song was used in the most dramatic scene I have ever seen on TV.
