the stupidest part of sojourn charge is that she gets it from damaging ANYTHING. You can shoot a rein shield, torb turret, petal platform, cage fight, tree, and you get charge
like, wow, the rein is doing their job and holding shield on the cart. congrats, you have been rewarded by getting one shot by the sojourn!

Babywatch. Gotta make sure SJ gets value 24/7. And don't forget it decays to 25% bc... Reasons? She ALWAYS needs to retain some value even outside and after fights just because.
If soj couldn’t get charge off those things she’d be absolute garbage. She’s in a good spot rn. That being said, the way she’s designed her spike in value comes from railgun (not a one shot anymore btw). The only way she could become how you want her to be is if they shifted power from her railgun into her primary fire. Either way idrk shes fine rn just a strong pick that scales up with skill. And reins job is NOT to just hold shield on cart 😭

Honestly having Junker Queen buffed to the moon was like the most fun tank felt in a while. She's such a well designed character but she's not very good unless she's overtuned.
What no I thought we could all agree she's one of the more easily balanced characters, and respected
of the new Overwatch 2 characters Junker Queen, Ramattra and Venture all seem well designed and fun to play (although not necessarily well balanced)

I agree SO much on froggers comments about lucios reload being too long. It feels like an eternity mid fight
This is also the reason I dislike playing zarya, Feels like you spend more time reloading than actually shooting. It's lowkey infuriating

I've been asking for an extra 4-8 bullets since OW2 came out. His gun fires 4 rounds every time you pull the trigger, which means you get to shoot 5 times before you reload (when Bap used to be able to shoot 15 times before reloading)
This is exasperated even more when the enemy team has Sym, so you waste 12 bullets to kill 3 turrets, which means you only have 8 bullets left to somehow do something, so you end up reloading almost as often as Ashe does.
@@dunethegod6031 I’m actually fine with the dmg. If you hit all 4 as headshots that’s 144+40 from melee+45 from boop for a very fast 229 combo, I just want the reload to be a bit faster or have more ammo. If they did buff it they shouldn’t buff it past 20. Lucio doesn’t need a 250-0 combo
@@streamers3554 Literally every other support in the game has a faster time to kill than lucio. His 250 was fine because you needed to hit every single shot, and with all the durability and healing in the game, its nigh impossible in 1v1s when everyone has self heals or durability.
The fact the game still lets you join a game with ten seconds left is genuinly toxic. Ive joined so many games and heard DEFEAT without leaving my spawn. Game is bad. But its a game so it stops us from thanking
I recently had the weirdest backfill - literally joining into potg. Not even defeat screen, literally in the middle of the potg. It even displayed as "abandoned" in my history because I guess the game registered I was in the lobby at some point but wasn't there as the game ended since I was thrown in AFTER lmao.

i've had about 3 times where in the LOADING SCREEN of the match the defeat screen popped up, like bro the match hasn't even loaded, i haven't even got to choose my character
I never played anything other than ranked so I never experienced this. Sounds really really stupid.

Ngl I really miss being able to earn as you play. Everything on my account I earned through PLAYING THE GAME. It gave you a reason to play. You could buy skins with coins, and you'd get lootboxes for simply playing. You weren't forced to pay for everything. I miss it so much.
The first few months of ow2 i was saying this a lot, that the new system made me miss loot boxes of all things. It's really upsetting when a new system makes you miss one that's thinly (if at all) veiled gambling
I'm so pissed that they justatarted giving us flash animations over the old cinematics, like, I assume everyone that gave a fuck left or were laid off. Bring back the Cinematics, that's the whole reason why some of these characters were so loved, anyone remember the Rein Cinematic?

@@BeDatAPickle hard agree. As a Tank main, I STILL hate dealing with her, but without having seen the Cinematic, I wouldn't know who she is, or what she's been through, so that always humanizes her to an extent, still sucks when she just sprays you down tho, lol
@bchavez149 Exactly, the cinematics are very important for character growth and lore. Those and the origin stories are great entry points for new players too.

The cinematics were the reason I BOGUTH OW1 and began playing!!! I remember watching the Shimada one, thinking it was cool. I remember seeing the bastion one and my heart stopping, I remember when Mei’s came out and how drawn in I was. So much depth to the characters made me want to invest in the game and everything with ow2 is just a let down

The hero gauntlet not only could be useful for custom games in terms of being able to use the map and towers but they could even release non-textured building blocks for people to create custom maps too. Let them be tested in custom games and highlight the most popular maps which could possibly make it into the actual game

moira is complex with tech and cool evolution. in game: she is one of the simpler characters :D. im not saying lore and gameplay needs to be relate but she had so much potential
It IS weird they never got to her.
Like forget about recent years where they fired their lore team and have just been dropping bags left and right.
But she was released back in 2017. 7 or 8 years and we've got basically no media that focused on her.
But the same could be said of many characters.
They need to bring back the OW1 archives stuff. Gives you a bit more context and stuff to the characters. And then, for the love of god, give us a Netflix show. The episodes don't even need to all be directly connected, it could literally just be cinematics for individual characters each episode and people would still fall in love.

2support 2dps. In order to balance the number of dps to support ratio, all tanks are now supports and have gutted health pools. Also doom gets his phd and now goes by doctor doom

Meh, I dont agree much. In Silver to Plat (so around Gold), QP is still quite toxic, it is incredibly annoying. Players saying "EZ losers!", or "Swap cus you aint good at the character" or even "*a weird way of spelling the n-word*". Bro, we are between Silver and Plat, not Masters and GM lmao- People need to lower their massive egos, i swear..
Low elo is WILD! Been in masters, placed in gold, lost my butt off and dropped down to silver (mind you, different seasons and platforms) and genuinely some of the MOST frustrating and fun times I've ever had with the game. It's just a whole nother planet, sometimes. XD

The reason why solo tank will never work is because there will ALWAYS be 2 metas:
(1) 1 tank - Where 1 tank is vastly superior to everybody else so you almost have to mirror it.
(2) Rock paper scissors.
Neither of these are fun or healthy for the game. Solo tank will NEVER succeed

I don't see a way they could possibly balance all the tanks in a 5v5 scenario without the tanks overlapping in abilities because one is always going to counter another and with only 1 tank on each team, it's a fight for who can be better than the other tank which forces a counter swap or mirror. the 6v6 argument is tedious but seems to be the only way without removing the role entirely or making the tanks have incredibly similar abilities so they can't counter eachother with anything
I’m glad the community is finally coming around to this. Turns out the pro 6v6 “doomers” were right all along. It just took the community over a year
@@Cruxis_Angelit’s because before the devs were doing absolutely nothing to help balance the tank role in 5v5. Now, they’ve given tanks the buff that they needed and tank is still miserable to play, so it seems like there’s no other choice.
Of course you could switch back to the old overwatch 2 armour to buff tanks a bit, but that doesn’t fix the core issue (like how the ball rework buffed him, but did nothing to fix the game being unplayable for him if a sombra hacks him whenever he engages)

I've started to agree with Samito that the role passives in general should just be done away with and each character should just be balanced on a case by case basis.
The reason behind the Pride skin is that corporations often exploit the LGBTQ+ community. The community is known for seeking maximum representation in games and will go to great lengths to achieve it. Blizzard capitalized on this by offering a limited-time Pride skin reward to boost their channel views. very typical on the corporation side of gaming.
One day maybe they'll realise that none of these companies care about them and only do it for profit

Blizzard literally has a diversity scale that determines whether a character can be released or not and there's a "Sexuality" scale right next to the "Body Shape" scale. So they are quite literally using LGBTQ+ people as a slider for marketing.

Most people around the world don't have good internet, and it's not unusual to lose signal for a few secs every hour or so. I'm regularly in 10mins suspensions multiple times a week. It's QP man, it shouldn't matter 😭
Some server issues have happened the last couple weeks nothing too crazy tho
I thought I was going insane 😭 I have good wifi but my laptop isn't specifically made for gaming so I'm used to getting between 30-70 fps. I could barely even play games against ai because I'd be dropping to under 10fps for absolutely no reason when my game had been fine months prior 💀
Looking for group was amazing for console players, but we're often under-heard compared to PC where the main player base is active currently. I've missed it moving to PC and struggling.
Dude when I first started my ow journey and was a console gamer find a group was wonderful.
I used looking for group constantly on pc, it made it a lot easier to find people who were willing to talk and work together
Nothing wrong with the Porsche event (in terms of a certain luxury brand being the focus rather than what we had before), but it felt empty, all it needed was a non-shop earnable skin or even better a limited time D.va racing mode utilising the skin, but the content wasn’t there so it ended up feeling like what these collaboration events are-just excuses to make blizzard money in the shop, which is FINE, but the deal on Blizzard’s side is to hide that, because nobody likes to feel like the game is that much of a soulless cash grab, something OW2 has suffered from its launch because it has felt on the wrong side of that trade-off and relationship with the player base, so Porsche isn’t the type of collaboration event that is healthy for OW2 longterm, the best event was the K-pop band one for a good reason, there was real content and it felt worth spending on.
It's honestly depressing seeing that a majority of content in Overwatch these days is dead. Like he talked about in the video, Arcade being dead. Arcade is a staple of Overwatch but it's more dead now then it ever was in Overwatch 1. PvE being dead, and will probably never see an update EVER again. Workshop, while not entirely dead, still isn't getting updated at all. Even Hero Mastery getting its co-op removed because of how dead it is.
Booting up Overwatch and knowing that the devs no longer care about over half the content in the game is depressing.
Tank hp nerfs made a lot of arcade/OQ players quit. Too much hp in role queue, feel like paper in the other modes.

I had more drive and a lot more fun playing the dark ages of overwatch when it got no updates the last hero was echo 2cp was in the game even though it was left for dead I somehow had more fun in that time then playing overwatch 2. I play maybe two games of overwatch now then I just get off it just isn't fun anymore.

Yeah, nah. This is condoning toxic behaviour. All the people I've seen that are banned from coms or from the game is because they actually deserved it. Nobody, literally nobody reports a simple fuck.
Did that actually happen? I thought the guy just got banned for general toxicity and then when asked about it one of the Blizzard employees said it was for swearing (even though players don’t just get banned for swearing)

@@Nemo.404Well sadly that's not entirely true! I've been reported for my game title having the word "bullcrap" in it for Overwatch: Bullcrap Edition. I didn't even know crap was considered bad because "bullcrap" isn't censored but "crap" is. I had to rename my game mode to BS edition to not get reported
of course the Overwatch dev team is a fan of Porsche, unlike 90% of the player-base, they can actually afford one...
Nobody liked the Porsche collab because at the bottom line all it is is corporate appeasement...
If they don’t bring 6v6 back at least make it a new game mode if possible.

There are literally people who do a 6v6 custom game mode unpaid. They could just maks the game mode official and put it in a queue system and let this team balance it.
6v6 in the year or two approaching overwatch 2’s release was a time when there were a few annoying characters or combos, but the whole cast of characters felt viable in some way or another. One of the biggest problems which drove the change to 5v5 was double shield, specifically Orisa + Sigma (and sometimes Rein) because they both plant shields and turret from behind them. Orisa was reworked with the release of OW2 and no longer has a shield, so the only character who could potentially double-shield in such a problematic way is Ramattra. Also, counter-swapping has always been a core mechanic of overwatch, but no one ever complained about it in this way because it never felt as forced as it is when there is 1 tank and the matchup loses a dimension. Funny enough, one of the ways Blizzard tried to justify locking heroes behind BP was claiming they were making changes that made counter-swapping less necessary, but it’s more needed than ever because there are not two tanks to complement each other’s weaknesses!
The debate comes down to a simple question; at over a year and a half into OW2 would they go back on the single thing that makes this more than a shop update?

You mean Brig and Baptiste that caused Double shield to be so strong. The sustain behind the double shield was so strong you cant kill the character. Even the Shield can be destroyed by Bastion or Junkrat. Double shield was not format problem it was balance problems. Thats why when they finally nerf bap and brig on October 2020 you could basically play anything. Ramatra was design for OW 2 not 1, so if they ever goes back to 6v6 they need some balance patch as well.
i feel like whats not being addressed about the tank situation is how just lonely the role is now and how being the only person with that job now automatically makes you feel more alienated in the community. It clearly does not matter how op tanks are theres a fundamental "feel" missing. and im not saying 6v6 is the solution (even though im tired of the devs just being quiet about the idea and not even explaining their pov) but something that encourages players to actually want to sync up with their tank beyond like "we will lose the game if you dont tracer genji to match my winston" something that makes the game feel more moba without just adding extra numbers.
Its also not fun being the 'reason' for every loss even if youre doing fine

@atomickarate3421 I believe you're right. I remember reading something about lese than 10% of the staff that worked on OW1 is still at Blizzard working on OW2. So that makes sense. It's sad tbh. Use to be the best hero shooter, now it's just a dead horse.
For real. Back in ow1 I mained tank and support because it felt like the role with the least responsibilities that was the easiest to get value from.
Now, obviously just holding left click as mercy all game or holding right click as rein was never good in pro play or anything but in casual you atleast didnt feel like you were throwing if you did that. You could atleast provide some value to the team. Meanwhile if you were dps and couldnt hit shots or were simply diffed by the other dps it felt like you were the sole reason for losing the game.
Now in ow2 it feels like the exact opposite. I main dps because it feels like even if im doing worse, the deciding factor will always be supports and the tank. Also all you need to do is is shoot at people. Meanwhile as support you need to heal, do damage, have good cd management, survive, etc. And dont even get me started on tank, its by far the most stressful role in the game and the one that gets blamed first if you are losing.
Playing casual should be relaxing, not stressful.
LFG got used a lot at the beginning, but the queue times became super long after a while so people stopped using it and went back to solo Q. A lot of players complained about matching Solo Q'ers vs. stacks and Blizzard made some changes that increased the LFG queue times. Those were the best matches I've ever had though. Full coordination, communication, proper comps, no one tricking with people making necessary swaps, etc. 10+ Game win streaks all the time. Climbed 2 full ranks with the LFG system.

Unpopular opinion but I think the issue came before LFG got nerfed. It happened with role queue. If you got past gold, it was rare you wound up with a team of all DPS. Before role queue, i nearly got to GM in 2017 in season 17 (literally my ending SR was like 3987 lmao).
Then role queue happened and I’ve been hard stuck high diamond low masters since because I can’t swap to what we need. I used to rotate between supports, sombra, and could play Zarya or D.Va if I had to, just depending on what I saw needed to happen and our team wasnt doing. Now we get held hostage by the genji one trick that refuses to play a hitscan against a Pharah/Echo + Mercy comp. or we get a roadhog instead of Orisa or Rein. or a Zen/Lifeweaver support comp.
Flats you got a double standard here bud. You cant say that people indifferent to the tank experience should support the tanks so they shut up and then say that the 5v5 vs 6v6 debate is pointless and needs to stop because youre indifferent.
The thing making these political isnt that they are arguments being had, its that 5v5ers really just flat out ignore 6v6ers points. I have not seen one pro 5v5 argument make compelling points or even acknowledge what a good 6v6 argument is.
Not to sit here and hate on anyone but we cant hold some things to some standars and others to completely different ones for no apparent reason.

Talking about the pick choices just feeling so stagnant, and yeah. For the last year at my elo (Plat/Diamond), the top 5 most picked heroes are Cass, Soldier, Sojourn, Genji, and Tracer. Every game it felt like I was running from/fighting a Genji or Tracer. If they do switch, it's to Cass, Soldier, Sojourn, or Sombra. Genji and Tracer especially has gotten so monotonous and stale that I've dreaded even queuing up. What's the point if the gameplay isn't changing because those two heroes specifically are dominating the meta for 12+ months? And it's not that they're overpowered, but I think it's time to sideline those heroes for a bit, it's getting pretty bad.
Even as someone who doesn't mind playing Moira, I am tired of being forced off of Bap/Ana because I can't compete and no one's going to help. Being forced to go Moira because I can't compete with flankers is frustrating. I want to play Moira because I WANT to, not because it became a necessity to stay alive long enough to do my part on the team. People wanna complain about Moira being everywhere, but I'm over here wishing I could play anything else while Genji's and Tracers hard focus me all game knowing no one's going to help me. Call it a skill issue, but when I'm not even safe hugging my team because they all have tunnel vision, I do what I gotta do to stay alive.

Agreed. I am so sick and tired of sojourn, tracer, and hitscan dps in general with the occasional projectile hero. We have 18 dps in this game and it’s always the same 6 every match. 1 tank, lack of cc, and the new passive really broke those heroes while deleting the rest. 2 tanks was the strong counter play to hitscan that’s sorely lacking in this game.
@@witchfinder79Moira is by far the most reliable choice to stay alive against flankers. Mercy or Lucio are distant seconds but with Mercy all you can do is run without fighting back and Lucio is kind of niche but also hard. Kiriko works I guess but if you can’t hit your headshots, you’re gonna be pretty useless
The thing with LFG is that they introduced it late. When it first came into the game it popped off. Then the devs abandoned the game to work on OW2 and the community died. I don't know if Flats has taken this into account but I think with the new playerbase, LFG could pop off again
I am not a 6v6 stan by any means. In fact, I have dropped OW for a while for valo. With that being said, I feel like the "counnter swap the tank" has arisen instead of a "run this comp" meta was because of two tanks. I feel like having tank synergy really drove a comp based meta vs a "what shits on the enemy" meta. You obviously had counter swaps, but there were dive metas where people would play into reaper and still do well. I also think tanks (besides roadhog) didn't shit out damage like they do nowadays. Rein had to work around barrier and zarya had to build charge. Winston/DVA had to be close to really pump damage. Sigma, I believe, is so well designed because he doesn't just shit out damage (even though he does good dam). I think that tanks that don't have a ton of uptime on their cds (rein shield exploding, zarya bubbles being hella limited, JQ with shout and having to heal via dam, as examples) are forced into this weird spot where they need hella support from the supports, or kinda just die.
IDK if there is a way to solve it tbh.
TLDR: Ow was more fun in 6v6 because comp synergy mattered more than just the counterswap.
They should build up more Overwatch universe with its lores, heroes, and the world's. Back then, we would get animated shorts, more lores about the character's, etc. Mirrorwatch kinda have that and I would love for them to expand upon it. It's what gets people talking back then.
Another one to add is just making the game fun. Like the recent Group Up podcast, every 4-6 months, we add crazy changes. Sure it will make the game a bit goofy but it's fun. It can really show the hero fantasy compare to just balancing heroes for the competitive sake.
I feel that making the game more competitive just.. doesn't feel right in Overwatch...That's my take for Overwatch right now. Game feels a bit bland to me.

Of course the community has become toxic, we're treated terribly by Blizzard. YOU may get to meet them in person and see they are nice people, but that's not what we as average players get. We get ignored, talked down to, and watch our characters get gutted over and over again.
I miss LFG so much, it’s how I met everyone I play with on console. I know all the steamers say no one used it, but console players did, a lot. It’s how we actually get full communication and meet new people, it’s absolutely time to bring it back. The game feels so lonely now in Overwatch 2, after all the game is more fun with friends or anyone to speak to.

I think this isn't a fair comparison, you aren't forced to pay for cosmetics, if you play tank, you are practically forced (if not told to by teammates) swap. I agree with complaining when heroes were in the battle pass, but as its just cosmetic now, i think blizzard can charge whatever, as long as that money goes into the game
@pheebslo7618 you arnt forced to swap, if youre good at one tank hero, you'll do fine the rest of the game; winrate will still be 50/50 like always. if you dont believe me then try it. mid maxing every game doesnt give the insane advantages you think it does in your rank, because there are uncountable mistakes being made that fills in that value gap.

It creates a toxic environment where all the blame can be placed on the tank. But playing dva into zar sym mei moira is a lot harder (a lot lot) in masters than just swapping to the other tank. Most people don't play the game to purposely make it difficult to win. It's fine if you one trick, but don't pretend like that is valid and an easy thing which is encouraged. It isn't. Atleast in high level play

And here's the thing... because everyone's playing only Mauga/Hog those two tanks will be guaranteed to have a winrate around 50% so when they go to balance and they look at the winrates they see like maybe 55% on hog and maybe 52% on Mauga and because of this if they just look at statistics alone they won't get anywhere. The meta picks will always have a solid winrate because everyone's playing them and that's why it's not viable to look at those.

I have been not focusing tanks but sometimes you cant escape doing it, and with the armor changes it feels like shit, even characters like Torb are now a lot more resistant to Reaper, he's in the dirt rn, alongside Symmetra, dude needs some love.
It feels so weird because Reaper used to 2-3 tap characters. Now it feels like you have to use a full clip to get a kill.

Blizzard should 1000% take a page out of riot games book, and copy their clash system and just straight up put it into overwatch. For those who do not know what it is, its a semi competitive mode where you make a temporary team with friends or random people (there is a recruit page if you cant find someone or if your solo player looking for people to play with) and it auto sorts you into a tourament bracket based on the average of players ranks. The rewards are cosmetics and things to be displayed on your profile and if you lose its not the end of the world. Blizzard could even do the same system riot has for being able to play in it, you buy a ticket either from a earnable currency or if you want more rewards you can buy an upgraded one with paid currency and rewards are obtained based on how many wins you get and the only time limited reward is a badge on your profile for that specific clash event everything else is obtainable in every event. Having a tournament style mode that is something people can plan around and look forward to is super important for any game where team play is the foundation of why people love it and it needs to be something that isn't an every week thing or people will get burnt out, make it twice a month and make one a for fun mode picked by the community and the other comp ruleset. Creating content that lets both your highest skilled players and lowest both engage in the same content is how you keep the entire playerbase happy and occupied while you take your time fixing those core issues the game might have at a given point. You could take it a step further and make it so each team gets to ban a single hero, let people of all ranks show you via raw data which hero is a problem.
Yes I know the games are different but what makes them fun is exactly the same, playing with friends can make even the most terribly boring games interesting ( im sorry but lethal company is terrible and 90% of us play because our friends make it good) and not feeding into that is a stupid idea.
Mid gold tank here on Nintendo switch and Chad Rein Main, in quickplay playing support gives you 500xp since no one plays the role, now you get 500xp for playing tank in comp, we are dying out and an almost extinct role
Gotta be honest, the game has kinda lost me since the HP changes and DPS passive. Used to play all the time. I mean, I'm glad they tried these radical changes, but I just don't think it made the game better and they need to walk things back. I just barely finished the BP to get the Mercy skin, and I might play a couple hours here and there before the end of season, but I just am not having fun most of the time. That was WITH the 20 tier skip bundle and 5 tier skips from Prime.
Everything was balanced around 200HP, and they just bumped everything up instead of reducing healing and damage. Now there are still so many characters in no man's land who really aren't that viable. I would main Hanzo and Ana, and both of them feel crippled from the HP changes. Heroes with consistent damage or automatic weapons are big winners while, excluding Widow, low fire rate heroes feel like they can't secure kills.
At this point, I've basically swapped Hanzo with Widow because it's so frustrating to land a headshot with Hanzo and not get a kill. I do get that it was frustrating being on the receiving end, but Widow has always been so much better at one-shots and is even better at it now. There's basically zero reason to play Hanzo.
Ana just gets rolled most of the time. I felt like I used to be able to duel any DPS and win a fair amount of those matchups. She's been my favorite character for years now, and she just feels really bad to play. All her CDs were nerfed and still haven't been adjusted since the HP changes. No three shot combo, which was already super difficult to execute.
Bap, Kiri, Lucio and even Moira are miles ahead of every other support. Illari and Zen are okay. Mercy is useless, LW is still LW, and Brig is very situational and map/comp dependent.

Yeah the tank anti boop is really bad. On well, I was playing verses a hog. One of my favorite maps to play Queen on because everyone expects the hook but no one thinks of the knife. I would have some many unique duels with Hogs on that map trying to duel them but last time I played Queen against hog on that map, the Hog STOOD AT THE EDGE OF THE WELL and waited for me to peak. I baited him, he missed his hook, I knifed him, he moves an inch. Why is Hog the only character that can enviro kill tanks now? Boop is crazy stupid, right? That’s why it got nerfed. Why not hook too? You shouldn’t be able to one shot a tank with enviro kills so they should add a passive to tank where hook behaves like lifeweaver pull and can’t enviro kill tanks.

30:51 I had just watched a Former smash ultimate pro react to a video from the developer of smash talk about how the win rates are just about even online and they say its even so the game is balanced when tournament after tournament there are the same few characters winning over and over again. Granted people have been getting better and new ways to counter those characters but since you said this, its become noticeable what the main issues with developers seeing different characters balances is. If all game studios took their community suggestions and changes to effect (not all but a lot) then both games would be more considerably more fun to play. As I am trying to make a game of my own, I always keep in mind at where game developers go wrong and see what issues corpa creates to see if there is a noticbly easy way to avoid making the same mistakes as them. As far as I can see with both games, they don't really see the balance that big off an issue since they see the win rates as around the "same" when hog, orisa, and mauga are the most op tanks right now and having palutena, steve, and min min win top level tournaments its made both games boring and I just want a new character to have their moment in the spotlight. I hope this all makes sense because I'm not really thinking about what I'm typing but I just wanted to add to what flats had to say about the win rates.

This toxicity even caused my coach and his lobby moderator in discord to disband our PUGs group we had every Sunday. I was using that to improve and get advice. Gone. And i feel the same way, because there's too much riding on the conditions to get a single win
to put into context on just how badly optimized tanking is right now, its pretty easy to explain.
in 6v6, there was two tanks, 6 players, which means each tank theoretically divided the damage received in half. so each tank would roughly take 50% of damage from 6 enemy players.
in 5v5, theres one less player, so we can take off...15%, tanks also got 100 extra hp, thats about 1/5th of a tanks hp, so take away about...another 15%. so ignoring the fact all crutial cd's are being directed at one tank(thats why im using 15% and not 25%), current tank is taking about...70% of damage. being generous.
people say tank is op, but the issue is that tank ISN'T op enough. its not even a net 0, tank is just significantly worse even AFTER being buffed to compensate. tank in a 1v1 situation is op, but thats like saying support is op vs dps/tank in a healing competition. they are trying to fix tank, but the issue is to make tank feel good, they got to make tanks literal gods, and i genuinely think as a avid "i think 5v5 is actually okay i like op tanks" defender, 6v6 is just the ONLY solution to fix tank now,
It's funny because, for me, Overwatch actually feels *less* toxic than it used to be. Yeah there are still the trash-talkers and the edge-lords but I'm seeing more positive interactions now. Last night I was having a bad time in QP (was on DPS trying to counter a Widow but my aim is trash). Played like 10 matches without a win... I was frustrated, just trying to get my challenges done. I typed in public chat "Sorry guys, it's been a rough night, I'm pretty useless right now" and there were SO MANY PEOPLE who popped up with polite or cordial responses (even the Widow was like "I can switch if you want"). If this was a few years ago, I would have gotten flamed and trolled so hard.

I think overwatch’s biggest problem is overwatch players don’t vote with their wallets. If the BS Blizzard is doing wasn’t profitable they’d stop doing it, but the players shell out money for this behavior and that reinforces it. The cycle continues. Until the community can come together and boycott a battle pass or something, nothing is ever going to change.
One of my biggest complaints ive had lifeweavers is how new heroes have been getting less and less skins that can be aquired for free weaver had only 1 base legendary set mauga had none unless you got the bp and venture well buy it in the shop
Lifeweaver's base legendaries are also ugly as sin. As someone who doesn't buy shop skins I just stick to default because all his f2p options are so boring
