This hike is definitely up there as one of my favourites to be undertaken in the South East of England. If you know of a hike that you think is better - please leave a comment and let me know as I'm always on the look out for interesting hikes close to home.
@@PaisleyN7 Hi Matt, so pleased to hear you did this and enjoyed it as much as me. 100% agree that it's crazy to think you're that close to London still!! I hiked both the Riverside and Stepping Stones trails at Box Hill a week or so after doing this one, but am eager to get back and do some of the other ones too. Box Hill is a fab suggestion though 👌
I couldn't believe it either, it was almost as though someone had put them there knowing how great the backdrop was for photos! 🤣 So pleased you've enjoyed watching this one too! 🙏
Ah, I know... SO embarrassing 🤭 About a week later I visited the National Trust's Emmett's Garden and overheard someone saying 'I-tem' mote and I froze in horror knowing I'd filmed myself saying 'ig-u-thumb' so many times. I tiny part of me hoped they were the wrong ones... but it was me! 🤣 You live and you learn I guess. I'm very envious that you used to live in the area, it's a stunning part of the world! ❤️
The walk really was a good one - I'd highly recommend it! And thank you for the compliment - I'll take it especially since an online troll told me just the other week that I look like a pigeon! 🤔🤦♀️🤷♀️ 🤣
another nice place Caroline, especially the 14th century moated house, sorry you couldn't go indoor because of te restrictions, I guess it would have been interesting. Some time ago I got interested in becoming a member of the italian National Trust but it's a little bit frustrating cause, while in UK, NT own hundreds of properties, in Italy only a few dozens (at least, the ones we can enter for free), despite the whole number of historical and natural sites here. For example in Tuscany, that is where I live, it own only 2 properties, so I still think it's not worth
Whoa, if there's only 2 close to you, I think you've been wise not to take out a membership. I noticed where my mum lives there's very few properties there too - it just seemed like great value as we have lots close to where we live and knew we'd get a lot of out it on our Cornwall trip too. I didn't realise you were in Tuscany. I visited very briefly a few years ago as my dad got married there - stunning place that you get to live in!!!
Hi Ronald. Sorry to hear this. I've left you a longer reply to your other comment in my Kent Countryside walk. If you were able to let me know about the ads, I'd be most grateful.

Did this hike today after watching your video. One of the best in south east England. Who would think you are less than an hour from central London !

Such an amazingly pretty region! Those deer hanging out in front of that beautiful building is such a surreal sight! Thanks so much for sharing! 😊
