Loh Kean Yew is proficient in English now and answered the questions in English very well. To think that he had problems coping with English when he first came to Sg to study. It must have been his determination and hard work to 'master' English - the same determination and hard work that saw him win the world badminton championship trophy. Character makes a difference in coping with the challenges in life. Congratulations on your win, LKY. Sg certainly nurtured and supported the right person.
Thank you Malaysia for giving us this talent.... Sorry our own players cannot make it.... Last time was Khamid Khan... He is a hopeless knn player but still he is a true blue Singaporean.... I used to cry evertime he played
@@bomo8033 This is the mentality of some Singaporeans that Singaporeans can NEVER be good enough to be champions in the sporting field. This kind of thinking is not positive. One of your own children may become a world champion.... Schooling showed it is possible ..
Not wanting to be a wet blanket, hope wont turn up like Joseph Schooling.....only peak once (Olympic), and after that is all the way down.........but then again…what a final….damn exciting
Amazed Malaysia govt. have not come in taking some credit on being born as a Malaysian by birth....normally they would..His family smart....our BAM is useless....Singapore got the best out of him
True... Unless we buy them over like this lky guy or our whole ping piang team... Our country does not support sports and only wait for glorious moments like this...
@@eventhorizon3117 one man got in his way... Lin Dan. Both of them are pretty equal in skill but Lin Dan's winning mentality was far more superior. LCW will beat him in less important tournaments but always lost when they met in WC and Olympics. In Rio he finally managed to beat Lin Dan in the semis only to loose the Olympics gold to Chen Long. Yes we feel very sad for him and Malaysia. LKY is a gift to Singapore. He is a very rare athlete with superior skill and physique. Most importantly he has the winning mentality of Lin Dan. Look at the way he smile at his own mistakes. If he is not playing against a Malaysian, I will be rooting for him. 😀

World champion is a special making.
@Bo....Malaysia did not give us Loh Kean Yew. No need to thank them. LKY chose to accept the opportunity presented to him by Sg.

Well stay away from endorsement deals for chocolate drinks...we know what happened to the previous champion with that kind of endorsement
When u are young ,sure to win senior ,
