"It might be good for employee happiness and maybe I should try to make it look good, but quite frankly I don't really care that much." - Most accurate business management sim to date.
This is like an assembly line product factory, completely detached from reality and overly simple :/ Thanks for sharing, nothing to do with that, I enjoy seeing new games you show us all, keep it up
Looks good. I wouldn't mind a proper Let's Play of this game in between the grand strategy and TBS ones. Though I kinda think it would compete for Aven Colony's space, they feel like similar games (in different packaging, obviously).
Something I would to see in these business games is for there to be more and an RPG element. Meaning that you are not just some clicking overlord, but are an actually part of the company. You would have your own stats and have your own personal finances to deal with as well.
I think if someone was really serious about developing a new video platform to compete with YouTUbe, it wouldn't be to hard to woo the big name youtube who would bring their audience with them. That's not vid.me's case, though.
Matias Javier Furia Rodriguez I think the true challenge would be that to get the big names they'd have to pay. Google dominates in the internet ad market as well. So they'd have to somehow get people to buy ads on a platform that was unproven.
Startup Company looks like a cool resource management game. In my opinion the sims aspect of software inc. makes it a more enjoyable game. Nothing quite beats making your first millions and tearing down your old 5 room business. Then building a multi story compound. Adding all types of cool stuff like a server floor, cantina, and staff rooms to name a few.
Did you notice your developers are not doing anything, they just have a loop video enabled on their screen. But your sales executive must be amazing, as he manages to sell the stuff anyway. ^^
I like these video where you try new games. dont get me wrong I love your usual vids too, but this is also interesting. Maybe try a 5 part series, like that demon game and see how it does.
Gragas2 soft inc. Is more complex and more deep in game mechanics but startup company is good because its simple and fun you only need to micromanage few thing at the start then you can hire managers who will automate the production of components and research
I love how he always knows what He is talking about when making his vids. I really hate TH-camrs who start playing a game they know nothing about. Honestly pisses me off.
Hey Quill, are you going to do a lets play of Oxygen not included? i recently found it and could think of no one better to do a lets play! its alot of fun, very Dwarf fortress/rimworld esk. thanks!
You can stockpile software bits in advance of getting the contract to know what they're required to do, but they're consumed by the contract and can't be re-used? I'd question if the developers actually knew anything about software, if it weren't for there being some evidence otherwise.
Looks interesting, I'd be happy to see more... Will you ever go back and complete the Darkest Dungeon play through? It was going so well and was really interesting...
There was an early access clicker on Steam called AdVenture Communist, a spinoff of quite good for its niche AdVenture Capitalist. Didn't look at it for a while, last time I did they were deep into mechanics tuning.
Anyone out there played this and Software Inc care to comment on how they square up against each other? This feels dumbed halfway from Software Inc to Game Dev Tycoon
"It might be good for employee happiness and maybe I should try to make it look good, but quite frankly I don't really care that much." - Most accurate business management sim to date.
I thought this would be as interesting as paint drying, but once again Quill comes through and makes it fun and relatable.
we need more people like you to do play-throughs.. less rambling, more intelligible content.. keep up the great work bro!
This is like an assembly line product factory, completely detached from reality and overly simple :/

Of all the Game Dev Tycoon like games I've seen around these days, this one looks the most interesting. I'd be interested in seeing more of it.
HAHAHA the achievement on taking out a loan :') "A small loan of a million dollars"
Looks good. I wouldn't mind a proper Let's Play of this game in between the grand strategy and TBS ones. Though I kinda think it would compete for Aven Colony's space, they feel like similar games (in different packaging, obviously).

Really enjoyed watching this video! Keep up the awesome work Quill18
I can’t believe I just watched a 32 minute video of a guy playing a business simulation game, and actually enjoyed it?
Here's an idea for a good startup...a video upload and sharing platform. I hear we're in the market for one these days.
Mathmachine #TooTrue
Check out vid.me
The problem isn't the platform; the problem is the audience. TH-cam was among the first so TH-cam has the audience. See also Twitch etc.

I love to see more of this content quill
Seems like a great new series quill! Keep it up! :)
Do this like a lot. I really like this series👌
Full Campaign please! Thank you!
id like to see more of this quill!!!
Did you notice your developers are not doing anything, they just have a loop video enabled on their screen. But your sales executive must be amazing, as he manages to sell the stuff anyway. ^^
Looks interesting, hoping for more of this.
have you played software inc? imo it's the best of the 3 or 4 games trying to do this same thing.
28:00 this is how I witnessed it in the industry, but the dev starts his next job a bit better as well
Would like to see more of this!
I really like this new series of you :D
I like these video where you try new games. dont get me wrong I love your usual vids too, but this is also interesting. Maybe try a 5 part series, like that demon game and see how it does.
DO MORE THIS IS AWESOME
For some reason this looks like a pretty fun chill game, might just get it right now. :P
Lol! I read it as Standup Company... Thought, cool idea, gotta check it out! =)
I've seen this game in my sub box so much but quill is the only one i trust not to really bung it up
Can you make the office super comfortable for the employees? Will it be a big boost to production if so?
Heya folks! Quill 18 here, and today we're playing Game Dev Tycoon. I mean Software Inc. I mean DANGIT
How is it compared to Software Inc? :O
or Game Dev Tycoon?
Gragas2 soft inc. Is more complex and more deep in game mechanics but startup company is good because its simple and fun you only need to micromanage few thing at the start then you can hire managers who will automate the production of components and research
Game Dev Tycoon is ridiculously simple by comparison. Kinda fun, but simple.
Eric Neiman game dev lack content you only set the sliders and do the same thing again and again
You can use project management to automate projects being designed, developed and marketed automatically in Software Inc also.
I love how he always knows what He is talking about when making his vids. I really hate TH-camrs who start playing a game they know nothing about. Honestly pisses me off.
Quill18, Are there many impactful choices in this game? Or is it more of a "keep all bars high" kind of game?
Nice, would be cool for a serie...
Is this just another variant on all the other "software inc, game dev inc" games that have come before it, or it feels fresh and new?
Interesting game, reminds me of software inc and that game creator simulator. Either way, plz continue! :)
I'm really digging this. Series please?
Looks like a spiritual successor to "Video Game Tycoon".
Good shit, Quill
If you haven't already, you should take a look at Software Inc.
Wow. That's a lot of clicking. But, I do like it.
You brought up Railroad Tycoon in the video and it made me wonder. Are you planning on revisiting that game anytime in the near future?
Please do more I love it
Game feels really mhee. But will keep watching for mr. quill as usual :)
How do you not call the company Quill18 Ink. ?
Hey Quill, are you going to do a lets play of Oxygen not included? i recently found it and could think of no one better to do a lets play! its alot of fun, very Dwarf fortress/rimworld esk. thanks!
You can stockpile software bits in advance of getting the contract to know what they're required to do, but they're consumed by the contract and can't be re-used? I'd question if the developers actually knew anything about software, if it weren't for there being some evidence otherwise.
"sort of an open office plan for the programmers over here, that's OK"
I work as a programmer with an open plan office. It's not OK... :
This LOOKS like it might have some legs behind it... would like to see more episodes
Will you be trying out Softwre Inc.? I feel like it's a much more fun game than the clicker style, but your mileage may vary.
yo quill,
i already play it and it's a good game simulation haha...
very nice!
3:40 you can see why you have to find contracts First
I want to make all the game characters look like the anime "New Game".
Or how about Eroge. LOL
But then Steam would censor it into nothingness.
Salut, J'ai fait un crack Startup Compagny gratuitement sur ma chaîne. Merci
Jack tfw u don't watch anime so you have no idea
i want to see more !!
This reminds me of theme hospital :)
looks cool, gonna try soon ;)
You should give software inc a go, decorations are actually needed to keep the staff productive. It's much more in depth than this one!
Quill also don't forget to pay off the loan
I love this!!!!
yes, please do more :D
Cool game
Martin if you liked this game, maybe you should take a look at Software Inc. as well
i would like to see more of this game in your lets play series, and thank you for your videos.
Who is the devteam that is making this game? The UI looks similar to Game Dev Tycoon and it is making me wonder...
Looks interesting, I'd be happy to see more...
Will you ever go back and complete the Darkest Dungeon play through? It was going so well and was really interesting...
Has quill tried playing Capitalism 2?
673Subliminal I wonder if there's a game called "socialism"
I wish
There was an early access clicker on Steam called AdVenture Communist, a spinoff of quite good for its niche AdVenture Capitalist. Didn't look at it for a while, last time I did they were deep into mechanics tuning.
That would be interesting to see if he can successfully play and explain it.
More episodes
I think I could like this game :)
The manager gives a speed boost to the people who actually do the job? Not in my experience :-D
This reminds me of Game Dev Tycoon but i still think i like Software Inc more
Valuable comment is valuable
I think you should complete the campaign and become rich as hell
Looks like Game Dev Tycoon.
Hello from the future. For some reason YT sent this to me as a notification...
Do a small LP!
you should stream this game sometime :P
Make a series!
do a campaign of this please
I like. More!
Mr Green:Your Hired!
When you get employees get the best worker but the lowest price.
is this from the same person of the game dev?
@Quill18
In the component selection menu, there's a toggle for 'Auto-Repeat'
he knows...
Awww man...shoulda done like QuillSoft or Quill-X for the company name.
Reminds me a lot of gamedev tycoon.
open offices are hell
These games forget weekends and it makes me mad
Quill, you can press auto repeat once you've selected the component. this ill be less clicking :p
That was literally the first button i saw after he mentioned to get managers...typical quill. xD
Are you sure? He said the button wasn't enabled until he got the manager.
Quill. You should give software inc a try.
RRT3 stream maybe sometime?
I luv ur vids
Anyone out there played this and Software Inc care to comment on how they square up against each other? This feels dumbed halfway from Software Inc to Game Dev Tycoon
Found game really similar to that one - store.steampowered.com/app/953060/Go_to_IT/
All The Candicates Have A Particular Set Of Skills :b
I would like a little more
I would've guessed "Quilsoft"or something.
I would have went wit Quinc. or Quillinc.
