1977 MGB GT Fire up

Starting work again on my 1977 MGB GT to take me on some adventures around the north west and beyond. Major job that needs doing are the sills, but will get some expert advice on that before doing the work. Please enjoy thank you.

Enjoyed watching your BGT fire up video mate. Brought back many happy memories.
I owned a '75 Rubber Bumper GT from 1979 to 2010, put about 100k miles+ on it during that time. Until about 1990 it was my daily transport for most of that period. I even became a member of the MGOC shortly after getting the car, it became an important member of my family so to speak. :-) It was a gorgeous Tundra Green in its original cellulose, in the late 80's after replacing front and rear wings + sills etc I had it repainted in Tundra acrylic. Sadly the acrylic never looked quite as good as the cellulose, but it was nice'n shiny and never "bloomed".
Early on I'd replaced the std exhaust with a stainless steel, would give a lusty bark on start up, but overall was a little quieter and lost that infamous MGB rattle.
Had great times with the BGT. Always nice to drive and gee I do miss that Moto Lita steering wheel.....
Nice to see you may be getting yours back on the road soon, have a great time with it!

Ah,glad you enjoyed it mate. Its original colour was yellow when new then someone changed it to blue.If I ever respray it Tundra green would be nice but think I am a long way off from respray just yet. I nearly sold it a few years back but could never bring myself to part as there is life in the old girl yet,

Interesting the mileage in 2011 was 80,000 but in 2012 it looks like someone before you clocked it down to 26,442 miles.
