This is further reinforced by all the doors, upon which we see similiar characters to existing ones (e.g, queen-er) who we assume are abstractified. The characters could only be replaced on such a quick basis if Caine had access to a large database of brain scans.
Another candidate for who Abel could be that I have heard is Bubble. Their names rhyme, Bubble is very much connected to Caine, and we often see Caine popping her, which is eerily similar to killing her.
I didn't see popping Bubble as killing her, I always thought it was despawning her since she's pretty much an NPC. She doesn't seem to really feel any pain from it though, probably just immediately pops back up somewhere else that's away from Caine.

So that's about the timeframe of the show. Which means Kinger would have been born between 1970 - 1990. Names were WAY more copy and paste back then so Kingers name actually being Able is very unlikely. I guess it could happen with religion being more prevalent than it is now. But his parents picking Abel over any other biblical name is also highly unlikely.

One theory I came up with just this morning is that Pomni is immune to becoming abstracted, that she is an exemption to the one constant in the Digital Circus. This is because she is a jester. Jesters served kings as entertainers, and were exempt from the same rules as the other servants. A jester may mock a king, or perform acts of mischief that would get any other person killed. Pomni being a jester may allow her to go over her breaking point and come back unscathed, and we see this happen twice. One where she broke during the exit door scene and during the ending.
i think it's of note that ragatha says "really terrible *can* happen" not does, her wording is of note because as she says that line we can see based on her execution of the line that she's already had more than enough stress to not only get to a breaking point before, but that describing that risk calls up a memory for her *of hitting a breaking point.* it may be that it only happens a small fraction of the time?

A few thoughts: 1. I am pretty sure that Caine was stated not to have evil intentions. 2. The characters were never stated to have lost all their memories, just memories of their names. One thing that very strongly supports this is that Pomni and all the rest seem to remember how they got in. I have my own theory here: they all have to be kidnapped, because if they had been there for YEARS, then they would have straved to death or dehydrated a long time ago. There are two ways this could have happened: one, someone put a tacker in the headset since most people aren't going to use it in public; they went home with it and immediately got trapped; then they wanted to pick them up; or two, some guy has a video game store and has a basement large enough to house them all because you need a discreet place to hide them all. Another theory is that time moves differently in a VR environment. This has been proven in experiments when someone was locked in a room for 1 hour in a blank white room and said it felt like years passed, so they might be part of an experiment themselves to see how long someone can stay trapped there until they lose their mind seeing what people do in a VR environment. As to who authorized this, I'm not sure who exactly it could be-the government or some sickos on the dark web trying to exploit people for views. Since not a lot of people went missing, the police might not have connected the dots, or they were kidnapped at home with great distance between them. Heck, they might all speak different languages, but the game automatically translates what they are saying. This theory doesn't hold a lot of weight.

In fact, due to their names being similar, I kind of think Bubble could be Abel and might actually even be the real “villain” of the story. It’s dumb and weird, but it’s all I got.
these are very well researched writers so they may know that the cain and abel story was an inversion of a story where the cain figure was actually the hero, so you never know!

My prediction is that all the characters are digital copies of people who played the game. That's why they can't leave, abstraction means their files are too Corrupted to keep functioning, and Caine is another program to manage them or is a digital avatar of a programmer
Damn good theory! I personally think, cut out the middle, their all generated AI like Caine but more refined and adaptive to where they are. This was definitely a game originally, so npc's were incorporated, so why not make them as smart as the players

I’ve been waiting for a vid on this. The final scene at the table is reminiscent of the last supper, and putting pomni in the middle implies she is supposed to be a Jesus like savior.
To be fair the real life Caine could have been Kinger who is the oldest out of the gang and Abel being Queenie who we know most likely abstracted because of her door having a red x over it so this could actually be what's going on because I don't think taking the possible Bible reference so literally is what the team was going for but who knows.

The Cain and Abel thing is pretty much cinched by the C&A logo. What it means if anything beyond a surface literary reference is anyone's guess. I've also heard a video speculate that Bubble is the Abel. And considering how Caine is constantly popping him, well... But Kinger does also make sense. I've also heard him talking about "insect collections" being him misremembering the term for bug reports.
Honestly my theory is the whole cast of characters are npc's procedurally generated by a game that has one operational sever left (the PC). Each one of the characters is a learning AI similar to that of Caine except they have only one basic memory; putting on an old headset that took them to this world. Their obsession with taking it off is rooted in their self-awareness as any normal player would be able to take it off, but They can't. AS they keep tring to get out they get Abstracted/Corrupted
Another thing to note about Kinger is at the end he explains how they don’t require food in the digital world and instead only experience the sensation of eating, suggesting he’s quite knowledgeable about their virtual world and how it works, either due to having the most experience living it, being one of the people who helped create it, or both.
While I did initially also assumed that Caine is an AI- but I do have second guesses after checking the Wacky Watch website, where there is a person there which is referred to as "Caine". Not sure if it meant to be canon, however.

Ok I am getting seriously angry at my recommended for not putting this video there for 3 days. I love this theory so much, Cartoon Universe!!!!!!!!! I might be over reacting but this might be the best TADC theory I've ever seen so far! A lot of people are saying, if the Abel theory is correct, he's either Bubble or Kinger, which would make so much sense. Personally, I think Abel is whatever weird void creature was shown in the trailer. You know, that one black tendril Caine accidentally showed us? If not, Kinger is the most likely of the cast to be Abel, but I think he just worked on the Digital Circus as an employee for the brothers.

@CartoonUniverse, hey so I was thinking what if Jax was trying to find the exit door the entire time he was there? I mean why does he have a key to every ones room? And when they saw Kaufmo abtracted was Jax scared so he ran off? And when Cain put Kaufmo into the thing (I forgot what it was called) Jax was in a fighting position for some strange reason.
That would be scary and cool if the Digital Circus is used as Cain’s prison, which would then make it harder to peg down whether Caine is just doing his best to keep all the residents from being abstracted and really doesn’t know how to get them out or if he’s intentional keeping them there.🤔

The Cain and Abel thing is pretty much cinched by the C&A logo. What it means if anything beyond a surface literary reference is anyone's guess. I've also heard a video speculate that Bubble is the Abel. And considering how Caine is constantly popping him, well...
But Kinger does also make sense. I've also heard him talking about "insect collections" being him misremembering the term for bug reports.

Honestly my theory is the whole cast of characters are npc's procedurally generated by a game that has one operational sever left (the PC). Each one of the characters is a learning AI similar to that of Caine except they have only one basic memory; putting on an old headset that took them to this world. Their obsession with taking it off is rooted in their self-awareness as any normal player would be able to take it off, but They can't. AS they keep tring to get out they get Abstracted/Corrupted

Ok I am getting seriously angry at my recommended for not putting this video there for 3 days. I love this theory so much, Cartoon Universe!!!!!!!!! I might be over reacting but this might be the best TADC theory I've ever seen so far! A lot of people are saying, if the Abel theory is correct, he's either Bubble or Kinger, which would make so much sense. I think Caine would have eventually gotten sucked into the game himself, though, eventually. Like Kinger, he seems to know something that we don't. I think the characters are just digital copies of the physical people and not the actual person they would be modeled after. This is why they don’t remember their names when they arrive.
Personally, I think Abel is whatever weird void creature was shown in the trailer. You know, that one black tendril Caine accidentally showed us? If not, Kinger is the most likely of the cast to be Abel, but I think he just worked on the Digital Circus as an employee for the brothers.
Abel actually might be kinger, because we actually don't see often Caine treat Kinger like the others and Queenie might be Sophia from what you said, Abel was in love with, and i think Queenie was protecting Kinger and that explains why hes so mentaly insane (Kinger) and from the original game of chess queens can go where ever they want and kings can go only one square.
