Lana's been making music since 2005, she always wanted to for years but felt it was impossible so it took a few years for her to begin and another few to gain success but her life-story is so interesting and inspiring :') as for Heroin, i don't think anythings confirmed but there's some theories that it's about her ex Rob Dubuss who unfortunately passed away from a Heroin overdose and the lyrics align with this possibility but another lyric "Life rocked me like Motley" references Nikki Sixx who became addicted to Heroin during his time in the Motley Crue. And in the end of the song she begins mentioning herself saying how she wishes she could change which I interpret as her stating her wrongdoings in the relationship as well and her addiction (not to Heroin but instead) in a search for fame as it took her many years to receive major success much of which was during her relationship with Rob Dubuss.
Heroin - Lana has had relationships with bfs with drug problems. Thats my fave off the album and In my feelings, she's so real for both of those songs. She was sent to rehab as a teenager for alcohol and apparently hasn't drunk in 18 years, she said in one of her spoken word poems. Idk about drugs but I'd say given her choices of men, and lifestyle, drugs are a thing for her - or were. I really doubt she's experimented much with heroin, the song is relationship based. I would LOVE to see a reaction to A&W off her latest album
So happy you reacted to a Lana album!! Loved the video, I really think if you went back to the beginning and did Born to Die next that would be amazing. You can’t go wrong with Ultraviolence, it’s an incredible album, but she is the kind of artist you really get to know through her music and it’s cool to see the progression from her first album. I think Ultraviolence is better appreciated with having the context from Born to Die. And oh yeah….then there’s Paradise, it’s like an EP between those 2…! If you REALLY wanted to spoil us!
Heroin is about a previous boyfriend of Lanas who died from a heroin overdose. Lana herself and the men shes dated have all had issues with drug/alcohol abuse. She was even sent away to a boarding school at 14/15 to get sober from alcoholism. She talks about these themes in a lot of her songs but I believe she is sober besides her vape (correct me if im wrong here pls.) Also please react to more Lana! NFR, Ultraviolence, Tunnels and Born to Die- Paradise Edition are all incredible albums. (So are Honeymoon and Blue Bannisters but atp you should just react to her whole discography)
you have to born to die it feels like it could be released today it’s known as the one of the most influential albums ever as it changed music and you’ll notice if you listen
Which Lana album do YOU want to listen to next? Follow your destiny. This is the most “mainstream” of all the albums. Born to Die is amazing, baroque pop. Ultraviolence is darker, with a rock edge…lots of amazing guitar by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. Honeymoon is cinematic and orchestral. Norman F@cking Rockwell is considered her magnum opus by many and is heavily influenced by Cali sounds. Chemtrails Over The Country Club is more mature, with more sparse production. Blue Bannisters is a collection of some old unreleased songs, with some Covid quarantine era tracks. Her latest album is (in my opinion) her true magnum opus…just a gorgeous piece of art.
You should do the rest of the reactions in chronological order. Born of die is the first album and there is a Paradise EP that is also part of that era. DONT DO BORN TO DIE PARADISE EDITION!! SPLIT IT UP OR YOU WILL GET BLOCKED. It's way too long for one video anyway.
You should get ready for the new weeknd trilogy by reacting to his projects in order so trilogy compilation I would say the mixtapes instead of trilogy but there’s 3 bonus tracks and there so good but anyways then react to kissland beauty behind the madness to starboy my dear melancholy to after hours then dawn fm I promise if you do this you’ll be ready for the next project 🙌
You should react to Born to die ( paradise edition.) Its the first album, it has strings and beats over it. I like the reactions, keep going.
born to die changed everything, ultraviolence changed me on a molecular level

React to more Lana albums, start with born to die, Lana's albums are perfect to listen to in chronological order, they get denser with time.
Lana deal Rey is epitome of queen of sadness. Sadcore, tumblr, old Hollywood aesthetic. Listen to her debut Born To Die. Life changing.

111 1.1 1 1st track xoxo
I think Heroin was inspired by the Manson murders

I'm pretty sure Heroin is about an ex that overdosed
