Narcissists want you to be emotional! Narcissists want you to be upset because when you are upset, you are easier to control. Why narcissist hurt you is so that they can more effectively abuse and manipulate. The narcissist wants you to be unhappy because when you are unhappy, you think about yourself and what you can do to change that unhappiness, and that takes the focus off of the narcissist. Do narcissists like to feel needed? Yes, when it benefits them and a need which is specific to them. The narcissist needs to feel needed by you making them believe they are the greatest person that has ever existed. And if you don’t make the narcissist feel needed, they will enact one of their narcissistic punishment tactics and this is why the narcissists want you to be emotional. Do narcissists feel anything? Yes, they feel shame and pain when it is about them. However, the narcissist lacks empathy and they don’t feel anything when it comes to you. Do narcissists care if they hurt you? No, and this is again because of the narcissist lack of empathy. Why do narcissists want to you hurt? Because it inflates their narcissistic supply when they see other people in pain and suffering. They will hurt you when they need to boost their own narcissistic supply. Do narcissists MEAN to hurt you? Yes, it is all intentional. What is the main goal of the narcissist? To make you emotional and focused om how you feel so that you don’t notice how they are acting. While the narcissist does like to be the center of attention, this is only for attention that is positive and reinforces their belief that they are superior to everyone else. How does the narcissist act when they are mad? They act like children who can’t control their own emotions and have to take it out on everyone else.

I'm in a situation where the narcissist uses my coworkers against me. One confided and told me that the narc supervisor told him not to work with or help me. This creates anxiety and I've since become enlightened that the narcissist is attempting to intentionally create this type of work environment for me to get me to quit or to get me in this heightened emotional state. I also suspect he smears me to upper level management and so on.
What type of narcissist would do something like this?
