I have a stupid theory. Dash is both their bio dad. Andy got genetics from mom. Molly got genetics from bio dad. And reason he's not there Messy divorce after their mom found out about him being super or they moved after Dash's enemies found out where they lived or the Super's version of witness protection program.

AY! Dude, watch supercarlinbrothers. It is explained in a vid there. But if ur too lazy, this is basically it. Those pictures at 0:05 they're of ANDY'S DAD! He had polio, and that house they're living in, Andy's dad's parent's house. That's why them pics are of a child. Oh, and andy's dad is also named Andy, and he looked very much like the Andy kid we see throughout the toy story movies. Or rather, little Andy looked like him. When he had polio, after he recovered, all his toys had to be burned. This broke Andy Sr.'s heart, so sick Big Andy crawled out to rescue three toys. Woody, Slinky, and potato head. He had no more polio, later moved to Seattle with little andy's mother, is forced to move back into his childhood home, because of some thing you may get YEARS after recovering from polio, and this is during little Andy as a small child. He tells little Andy, "I have something for you. Upstairs, get the chest. There is a key." Or something like that. By the time little andy goes up, finds the box, and comes down, Andy sr., or little Andy's dad, is dead. I'll explain this chest in a bit. Little Andy forgets about this chest for a while, but then finally opens it up. In this chest, there is Woody, Slinky, and Mr. potato head.
Oh, and Woody is a ONE OF A KIND doll.

Woody is not a one-of-a-kind doll. Toy Story 2 disproves that. Unless you're going to try to tell me they did not sell any of that merchandise they had made for the TV show. It would be understandable if the company shut down after just making Woody and never released him, but toy companies only make more merchandise after the original toys become popular. Al was also obviously on the look for a Woody doll and if there was only one in existence I guarantee you he would not be going around to freaking garage sales just hoping to stumble upon it. Also, that TV show aired for eight years before being cancelled. Their merchandise had to be popular if the show went on for eight years. Plus, Prospector Sam said they cancelled the show not because the company that sold Woody and Friends went out of business, but because space toys became the new interest of kids. Good try but not really.

Dear Seamus, I have a theory. The Sorting Hat was stitched using Demiguse Fur. My theory goes that he randomly gets flashes of the future when a student is wearing him. That explains Neville's house choice, even though on Pottermore it says Neville wanted to go to Hufflepuff and but the hat chose Gyffindor (I'm pretty sure it was the Hatstall article). Please explore this theory deeper, and if there's more evidence for this theory, please make a video for it. Like so Seamus can see it 😁

Molly and Andy have the same dad he died of post polio syndrome after Molly was born. By the way the pictures on the wall are pictures of their dad because Andy never wears glasses like the boy in the picture. And the reason why woody doesn't remember Andy's dad is because he was locked in the trunk when Andy's dad was still a kid and didn't get let out until Andy got the key from his dad right before he died. Andy’s dad didn’t divorce Andy’s mum, he had an extremely rough disease (can’t remember what) and died from it. They also wanted a fresh start so that’s why they moved :)

This is a very interesting theory, and I agree with most of it. In my opinion, I think Andy's mom and Andy's dad obviously had Andy, and then divorced. I then think that both parents had custody over Andy. However, I believe that Andy's dad then either died due to an accident or ran off with another women and didn't want to have part time custody over Andy any more. This is where our theory's line back up again. So, Andy's mom begins to date the grown up Dash. Dash then ends up impregnating her with Molly, but runs off because he's not ready to handle a child. You may ask why did he date her in the first place if she had Andy and wasn't ready to handle a child? Well I think that she told Dash about Andy before either knew she was now pregnant with Molly.Dash, not ready to handle the child that is Andy, runs off/leaves her. Then, afterwards, Andy's mom finds out she's pregnant with Molly. This all makes since in my opinion and I'd love to hear what everyone else has to say about what I think.

It's actually possible that Molly's dad does not exhibit the same traits (hair, eye, face) as Molly if both himself and Molly's mom carry the recessive genes.
Because the genes are recessive, her parents can be carriers without looking like it.

Dominant genes are the ones that are shown in your appearance, while recessive genes are genes that you carry but don't display. A dominant gene can be passed down to a child regardless of the genes of the other parent, whereas both parents have to be carriers of a recessive gene for it to show in a child. So let's say you have two parents, and both of them have brown eyes and brown hair, which are dominant traits that they display. These parents also carry recessive genes, which don't show in their appearance but can be passed down to their children if both parents carry these genes. So if both of the parents have the recessive genes of blue eyes and blonde hair, (which wouldn't appear in either of the parents appearance, hence the term "recessive") there's a chance that their child will be born with blonde hair and blue eyes even if both of their parents have brown hair and brown eyes. My grandparents, for example, both have brown hair and brown eyes, but two of their four children have blonde hair and blue eyes because both of my grandparents carry those recessive genes.

Having homozygous alleles means you need to inherit that trait from both parents. An allele is a variation of a gene and homozygous means that there are two of that same allele. Since brown hair is dominant to blonde hair, Andy's mum was likely a carrier for the blonde gene (she had two different alleles for her hair colour, the brown allele which is expressed in herself due to its dominance and the blonde allele which is expressed in Molly).

I think it's possible, especially the scene in the first film where she sees Woody and Buzz chasing their car, waves, smiles and giggles like that, that not only makes her the 2nd human (other than Sid) to see toys come to life but she also wasn't scared to death (like Sid was) when she did, it almost seemed as though she knows toys are alive

His father did die and they were living in his dads parents' house because he was really sick and then died and they just continued living there till they moved back to Seattle, where they are originally from. The blonde hair trait is complicated. My mom has red hair (and has one blonde and three brunette sisters) and my dad had blonde hair as a kid that later turned brunette as he aged. All five of their children were born with blonde hair and two of the five turned brunette as they aged. It's 100% possible to have a child with brown hair and another with blonde. What matters in this theory should be the curly hair. Dash doesn't have curly hair so Dash probably isn't the father. Also there's the theory that Andy's mom is Jessie's owner which includes a possible insight into who she married. Supercarlinbrothers did a video about this on their channel.

Not necessarily. Dash's hair is short and looks to be slicked back. It's harder to tell what it looks like in a more natural state, or what it would look like if it was longer. If it's wavy, but not curly, there's still a chance of having a curly haired child. I will use myself as an example. I was born with curly hair, but my mom's side of the family all have straight hair, while my father's side all have wavy or straight hair. Nobody on either side has hair like mine, but we always assumed that my hair is curly from my father's side, since they have wavy hair.

It was released from the man writing the story that Andy's dad died of Polio. He didn't catch it, he caught it as a kid and it caught up with him again.

i always just assumed that the father died in some tragic accident and then the whole ordeal was so tragic she didn't want to leave photos up to relive the experience. Now, building off of your theory, I could actually see this happening. that and, if he did run out on them, maybe the mom murdered dash and got rid of the photos to erase whatever memories andy had of him....

heres a couple theories for what happened to andys dad:
-his dad died
-one night stand
-he was already married, and he cheated, and broke it off with andys mom
-they were dating and broke up
and to fill the void andys mom started to date someone eles and gotten pregnant with molly, and probably had commitment issues
Theory: Andy is really the son of his mothers sibling but they passed away so he was given to his mother and that's why he looks like his mother but neither of his parents are alive
What if Andy's dad was so upset with his wife that he killed himself and that's why they moved and and that's why there's no photos, to not remind Andy what happend to his father.
When I first heard Andy's mom say Woody was a old family toy, I just thought it was because Andy was super attached to Woody and had him since babyhood. Is this just me?

I have kind of a crazy idea. What if when Andy's father found out about her cheating on him, he had a heart attack and died. Or even was murdered. This would explain the absence of photos, not being there and Molly not being his child. An even crazier idea is that Molly's father killed Andy's father and he is now in jail. This would explain the absence of both fathers

While this is an interesting theory, there is absolutely no evidence supporting that dash runs away from his problems. Also, the dash you’re talking about is 10 years old. I don’t know any 10 year old that keeps their personality traits when they’re 30. Great video though

To be honest this is a bit of a stretch, I do not think there is anyway to disprove your theory, but there also was not much evidence to make a case that it is likely. Two notes on the video: Your research was on UK law not US where Toy Story takes place. Custody laws may be slightly different. Also genes for hair and eye color are more complicated to determine than a simple punnet square; it is a bit more complicated than you explained it and how it is often taught in high schools. This was an interesting video though and I encourage you to keep going. :)
Absolutely agree. For example, both my parents have green eyes, which is a recessive trait, but I have brown eyes, which is a dominant trait. That's impossible with Mendelian genetics.

Not really since there are numerus sets of alleles that control eye color, but yeah it made more complicated by gene mutations as well as random chance.

In the US it varies by state. For example Utah, mom gets kids unless something aweful happened.

Just saying that jack jack didn't develop his powers until he was slightly older and when molly is the age she is in toy story 3 we don't get to see her much so she still could be a super but doesn't show it much

i just did some research and andy's dad apparently was diagnosed with polio when he was a young boy, but survived and died not too long after andy's mom had gotten pregnant with molly. Andy's dad had died of post-polio and they had to move houses and burn all the furniture bc of the polio disease.
The reason why andy and molly have no dad is because back then it was difficult to animate people so the animators decided it would be easier to have less humans. It would also explain why we don't see sid's parents either.

When my parents got divorced, my mom was very obviously the worse parent and did not provide financially as well as my dad did. But she still got custody mostly because she was the mom, even though my dad was the better provider in basically every way.
My oldest sister has jet black hair and she looks just like our dad where as my middle sister has dirty blonde curly hair just like me and my mom, my sisters got blue eyes just like both of my parents and I got green eyes.. my oldest sister and I have a roman nose (look it up) and the middle sister has a button nose. But if you really looked at us side by side, you can tell we are sisters. So I don't really believe all that about "the different fathers". But cool video!

I personally believe the Carlin’s theory on this more. I recommend watching it as they got to sit down with a director.
I think woody is Andy's dad because the dark hair the connection between the two woody was probably a real man but he became a famous cartoon character and was always at work and he died then they canceled the woody round up show and woody was a old doll because this happened when Andy was a baby and his dad gave the toy to his son and the soul of Andy's dad went in the doll and the other toys were his deceased family and cared about Andy as there family.
I don't agree with all of this but I could definitely see Andy's dad as an actor for the show. This would also explain why the show ended so suddenly. It just seemed unlikely to me that they would end on that big of a cliffhanger, especially back in the day. I always felt like there should have been a conclusion to the season or something.

My dad has dirty-blonde hair and my mom has brown hair. Dad has blue eyes, mom has hazel. My brother has dirty-blonde hair with blue eyes. My sister has dark brown hair like my mom with blue eyes. When I was a baby I red hair, then turned to blonde in my young years until about sixth grade brown and now it's dark brown like my mom's but I have natural blonde highlights with a red tint. I have blue eyes like my dad. I'm also French-Italian which would explain the blonde hair and blue eyes. But no one in my family had red hair. Even if Molly is Dash's daughter it would make since if she had half of her dad's powers then divided that by fifty for his parents combined makes speed. So it's possible that Molly is just part Super if the genetics are lined up correctly that she could have a power. Especially if she has them She hasn't unlocked them yet. Like when,Jack-Jack discovered his powers by listening to Mozart. So,could Toy Story 4 be how Molly discovers her powers somehow.
Both of my parents have brown hair, my younger sibs have same but me and my older brother have red hair. My parents just have a red hair gene and a brown hair gene so it must be the same with you. ( the blonde to brown thing happened to my younger sib so it aint rare
