- I'm asking people to sing in Union Square Park, New York City! I see Laksh watching from afar and ask him if he'll sing! He was nervous at first, trying to think of an artist I might know. After talking about his travels to New York City and what part of India he's from, I offered to learn an Indian song in Hindi for him! He was surprised I'd be willing to try and brought up a classic song by a Bollywood legend. His expression afterwards made my day!
As a musician, I'm all about creating musical experiences that have people feeling happy and free, and that's why the "Sing With Me for Free" series exists. Since 2018, I have asked thousands of random people to sing with me on camera. A lot of people have said no, some have said no initially but changed their minds to yes, and some have said yes right away. I ask these people to sing with one purpose: to create a way for them to experience a sense of happiness and freedom they did not feel before. And much of the time, this actually works (and that makes ME happy).

I just love the look on peoples faces when they find out that they don't have to sing a song in just English, but can sing it in their own native language. Your are truly incredible Reggie and I love watching these singers and not only the surprise but the spark of light in their eyes after a few minutes of you learning their song. You can see the pride in sharing that particular song with everyone in their native tongue. I wouldn't have a clue what they're singing about but I just love these videos, it doesn't matter where you're from or what language you speak, music and song can unite everyone!! This is one of my favourites for sure and you've gained a new subscriber!!

I'm Tamil, so I grew up listening to the original Tamil version of this song, "Ilayanila Pozhigirathey". This is my first time hearing of the Hindi version, and it sounds amazing!
I have always loved Neele neele ambar par until I heard Ilaya nila… Ilayaraja hands down is god !!! It’s the original version and honestly is a better version

That was AWESOME. I love Bollywood type music, especially todays styles. So many are such a vibe and a funky groove. You don't need to understand the lyrics, just move to it as you feel it. Reggie once again you killed it. Your ability to adapt to any style, on the fly and play it, IS AMAZING.

This made me cry. My husband was from Haryana and died a year and a half ago in a semi truck accident. Not a day goes by that I don’t yearn to hear him.
