I can handle Photoshop quite well, but it was a mystery to me to remove the horizon, thanks to your video and especially thanks for sharing I now know how to do that without seeing traces of editing. I tried this for a long time but without a nice result, thank you very much.
I really enjoyed this vlog and the post-processing in both Lr and Ps. What I liked in Ps was your clear instruction. You should do more editing vlogs, thanks, Paul.
Good to watch your PS edit. I made a very similar image of Ashness bridge jetty last year. I used darktable which has a haze removal module and you can create a nice mist effect by using different blend modes. It made a nice minimalist image without needing to do complex editing of the sky and just using a graduated density mask.. 😀
Thanks Paul, very cool. I actually kind of preferred the edit at around 12:23 with the 'fog' covering the end of the pier. It lends a sort of 'mystery' and to where its leading and what is beyond. As you said, it's all very subjective and dependent on personal taste and what type of mood you are trying to convey. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Paul. This was a very informative post. The only thing is, I don't agree with is the word fake. I realize what you mean, but that is the thing about fine art. Your goal is to create the image that you want to share with the viewer. Otherwise it isn't fine art, it is photojournalism. Anyway, l love the picture, and appreciate you sharing how you created it.
Thanks for this video. I've searched so long for stuff like this. Well done 👍

Thanks Paul , I learned something new again, thanks for sharing this

Fair enough!

Camera clubs… say no more
hhhmmm oh
I have never seen a demo with so many errors. What makes you think you should be teaching others?
the end result... hahaha
Why would you want a fake photo on your wall? Edits are fine but a totally fake image!!! Not something I would be proud of!
lol its a fake but still your own work!! Proud is being able to make an image like that, the taking the process and for me the winning an award for it
🎉exactly Paul
