Dulce, the reason you feel wonderful is because of the meds. Once you get off, you will start feeling differently. I think is smart to see your dr before making this decision.❤️

As someone who is on antidepressants, I have to agree. The most common mistake ppl make these types of medications is to stop taking them when you feel better. That is why ppl with bipolar and other disorders have such a struggle. They feel better and get off of them and plummet. There isn’t anything wrong with letting it takes it’s course.

Yes, that is very true. The antidepressants continue releasing dopamine in the brain in a way that is abnormal to the usual amount naturally, and some people need more. But the meds are a way of continuing that artificially and either way it will be a huge adjustment to reconnect with the types of sad emotions and anxieties that cause depression in the first place. The neurotransmitters stay open to keep those chemicals flowing, so getting off the meds will be intense at first but it will level out. Keep searching for the root of the depression and I think that's the most lasting and healing work ❤ good luck

I was on 5 different meds before my 2nd pregnancy and on one med during and after second pregnancy. Through faith, and prayer, and name choosing to not want to take meds, I was able to get off of meds and I have been off of meds for 4 years now! 🎉 with God anything is possible!!

Hi dulce, I really love you and love watching your videos. You are a breath of fresh air and so so so talented. I wouldnt go off the meds without asking for medical advice. Some of us are unlucky in the mental health department, and we need help. It seems like we spend our lives trying to feel happy, switching from one thing to another. But dont do that with meds, it can mess up with your brain chemistry. Take your time and go off them slowly or decide to keep using them if they work for you and don't vause any side effects. Sending you love and hugs and power ❤️

Also thank you for the advice on starting something new, i started in beauty and I have been pivoting after graduating as a nutritionist to nutrition and the importance of it, adding exercise and i feel so scared, but God constantly shape us into the version that he wants us to be.

I enjoyed this episode, Dulce! Thank you for opening up & being vulnerable to us. God has been teaching me to slow down & to be careful with what I speak. This episode resonated a lot with me because I am focusing on my word. Thank you 💖 & I can't wait to hear about your experience in Guatemala

I have been on and off the same medication and dosage you take. I was off for 6 months but witnessed my father pass and had some PTSD to work through. So I am back on them. If you decide to try and go off them make sure you stay in contact with your dr regularly. Usually they will suggested a slow a tapered off approach. I did this myself when going off them. There is different herbal supplements you can look into to. But i also know some people should stay on them. Wishing you the best. And I look forward to seeing your update with whatever you decide to do!

Agree with what everyone is saying about meds. I’ve seen so many comments telling you to not take them forever. BUT what if your brain actually NEEDS meds to function so well? I’m totally in for taking them forever if it makes you feel so great. (My mom has been taking antidepressants for about 30 years and her doctor refused to stop prescribing them because she needs them and there’s nothing wrong about that.) With all that being said, you and your doctor know better than us lol so whatever your intuition tells you to do, follow it ❤

Hi Dulce, I love your podcast and channel. But you should definitely wait to get off your meds, I know you feel fantastic and amazing but from experience you need to be stable on them for at least 6 months and you would need to slowly taper off. Don’t let anyone tell u anything about being on them. Do what makes you happy and healthy. No matter what you decide. Sending you love 💕 please keep us posted!!

I just want to give you a heads up that you may hit a valley when going off the meds. I found myself to be very irritable and angry. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I think you should be stable on them for at least 6 months before making a decision. There is no shame in being on SSRIs, even lifelong. It's clearly working for you, so why get off them?

First of all, thank you very much for the wonderful video. I love your content! I've been following you since you've been on TH-cam. I feel your connection to God..
God says in the Quran "So remember Me, I will remember you" In Islam we pray five times a day. With every movement i think of God. I have been trying to do this as best I can for two years and it has changed my life. I no longer want to serve my ego, but God. I love you and hope very much to meet you one day. Many greetings from Germany. God bless you. ❤

A suggestion for a future podcast: when you're different and you don't fit in with those around you, sometimes you can get jealousy/envy and rejection. How to deal with it and not let it affect you?

Dulce, you bring up some great points and reminders. I would also encourage you as a sister to remember Jesus is the only one who can heal our depression, loneliness, emptiness...everything. Just ask Jesus to come into your life and you will see healing and renewal like never before. Also, prayer is very important. Communicating with Jesus daily helps us. I would note to you that God does not send "nightmares." Yes, he can show us important messages in our dreams to help guide us. Actually, nightmares can be from evil spirits. Not every message we receive is from God. We have to be careful to discern the source. If you are awaken at night, I would recommend Christian music, Bible reading and prayer. I would also pray over every room in my home to make sure my house is filled with God's presence. Lastly, any message you believe you are receiving should be cross-checked with God's word in the Bible. He will never send you a message that contradicts scripture.

If you are having bad dreams you need to really question that because the Lord does not really give people those kinds of bad dreams. Psalm 127 It is vain for you to rise early and put off your rest at night, To eat bread earned by hard toil- all this God gives to his beloved in sleep. Really question that and pray for Jesus to give you discernment and wisdom.
