    I'd still choose a trusty Leatherman over a SOG or Swiss anyday. Their warranty is one of the best too.

    • @CarlosEduardo-qf5gr

      Victorinox has lifetime warranty. But definitely both Leatherman and Vic over SOG. Way over.

      @@just_T4U Sorry about your particular experience, but I've owned such an insane amount of Victorinox tools that I'm kind of ashamed of it. They've all been exactly the same quality control, the consistency is crazy. Maybe you're criticizing the steel itself? One thing is quality control, tolerances, etc. versus the materials and how they fit each person's particular use case. If you expect Leatherman's knife steel strength in a Victorinox, you'll be disappointed. However, if you value consistency, corrosion resistance, tighter tolerances, etc., Victorinox is much MUCH better. You don't have to agree, but consider it. I own Leathermans too and I love them, but each brand and specific tools has different use cases.

    great content as usual the one thing I dislike about SOG multi tools is the fact that you have to open the handles so far to get the jaws of the pliers to open wide that sometimes it's impossible to have your hand squeezed the Flyers closed versus a Leatherman where the jobs open very wide and you can still reach your hand around to squeeze it closed

    I recently been turned on to the SOG POWERGRAB. It has been discontinued in the same year it came out!!! But recently KNIFECENTER got a shipment in, so if ur interested pick one up soon. It has both an awl AND SCISSORS!!!
    BTW the driver feature is perfected on this one...
    AND it has the socket driver.
    Why the hell would they discontinue it?!

    The wave is the only leatherman I have owned that I never really loved. I think it looks very knifey for sheeple and the way the blades protrude on the handle make it so uncomfortable for sustained use. I know everyone else loves it but I just cant take to it. Love the Rebar, skeletool, squirt, micra, fuse and wingman that I also have.
    Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Love your channel.

      Ha! Leatherman is cheating on you! For example, the Skeletool CX... Made in PRC (that's China to you), and ASSEMBLED in USA! Yes, it says so right on the box.
      When you buy Leatherman, you are not getting what you think, but Chinese-made blades, tools, frame the lot!
      Not, repeat, NOT, made in USA!

    • @TheLateBoyScout
      @TheLateBoyScout  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have. I own one, but never reviewed it, and don't plan to. I've heard multiple reports of chronic lockup problems, and Kershaw has not acknowledged those issues or tried to fix them. For that reason you won't be seeing the Launch knives reviewed on my channel at any point.

    I highly recommend people not to buy SOG gear There steel is brittle and the engineering fo their products is pure junk. Also, there warranty department is horrific. I've had to send back about 5 usually got back another model, not the same one sent. My last replacement was lost by them and they played the well do you have a tracking number even though their product specialist Amanda replied to me that a new one was being sent. Nothing came its been a month. SOG gear is pure junk. A lot of TH-camrs are sent thousands of dollars of gear to pretty much do advertising for companies.
