Hey, John, my mom is exactly the same as your mom when it comes to cleaning. I have learnt not to clean the house after a while and I will only take care of my own room. And my dad is the type who's quiet and doesn't meddle in our business type. Both can't interact and communicate with their children since young.
On a positive note, as a dad now, I'm the one who's emotionally connected with my daughter. I bring my child out. I teach my child..I have conversations with my child..I play rough and tumble with my child.. I have a feeling she will be a great lady in the future.

Can tell Denise was uncomfortable talking about her dad from the way she was grabbing her cup. Thanks for a refreshing touch of authenticity :)

Never had the opportunity to celebrate Father’s Day cause I’ve never met or seen him before. I am however, giving this privilege of organising future ones to my lovely Children. 👍🏻

Jordan Peterson lecture about father is that father is an archetype of a Judge. Making sure that the behaviour is fit into society standards where the boundaries are set at higher so that they would survive. However the balance is hard to achieve due to generation gap and development of society. Where as society develops it get less stricter and more acceptance compared to previous society
Fatherlessness / absent fathers has the impacts on development in child.
Hypothesizing child develops in much feminine personality compared to those who has guide from a father which has more masculinity.
Btw some theories of Freudian are somewhat outdated and inaccurate.
Honestly i would be interested to listen if you guys could do a topic about peter-pan syndrome. I think it is somewhat related to absent of father and overbearing mom.
Well it's a great topic! Keep it up guys!

Children pls honour your parents & PIL on Mother & Father’s Day.
Husband & wife, celebrate your wedding anniversary pls.
Parents, pls spend time with your children individually. Ask them what/where they would like to do/go & they will appreciate the gesture.
These are the ways we celebrate these occasions.
We do not celebrate Valentine’s Day. We just celebrated our 39th anniversary.

I joked with my husband and said that on Mother's Day, the wife would want her husband to take their kids out somewhere and leave her the hell alone for the whole day so that she gets to enjoy time by herself... Then on Father's Day, the wife would want her husband to take their kids out somewhere so that he gets to spend some time with them.... In both cases, the wife just wants time to herself.
My husband looked at me for a second and was like, "That's so true." And then we both laughed.
(We love our child very much. We just find humour in these sorts of things.)

Great show... But i believe why Fathers are not easy to get along is mainly an age thing. Till now, ask most guys if anyone cares for them, they will say no and say it is a man thing. Males like to settle things by themselves which requires less emotions and more logical. Due to this, i believe most males are not trained or lose touch of using emotions. Which leads them having difficulty creating connection. I bet they want to connect but, they do not know how and in their head they will not want to seem clueless and weak hence they will "self sacrifice".. just a thought..

As a parent (of a 4 year old) I relate with the crying of a parent when they are disciplining their child.
It is a feeling I couldn't relate too not being a parent. Imagine seeing your kid growing up and doing something disappointing or just that you question yourself "why is my child like that?" it's painful because as parents we always hope our child lives up to our expectations and hence the crying during punishment makes perfect sense.
I have a feedback! love your content! but probably when having conversations about parents, I feel more connected and have a more complete story if you had say a father on the panel for this and a mother for mothers day or even make things fun with both there 😀.
Amazing stuff! I always try to listen to your content on YT or Spotify when I'm driving.

My parents are exactly the same as denise's. My mom n i v v v bad rls, and she has bad rls with everyone. My dad cant confide with her so the only person he can talk to in this house that seems mature enough is me, not even my older sister. He also found an old woman outside whr he always goes to, almost like his girlfriend. But when my mom found out she raged like hell. I just tell my dad to do whatever that makes him happy cuz hes not young anymore

In Singapore, I have to say an average women has more rights than an average men. Men are born with the burden to serve the nation for 2 years and many more years of reservist, delaying their studies and career, while ladies are able to kick start their working life way sooner.
Sure, maybe a decade ago, things are different and women has less opportunities, but today, I would say there is equal opportunity and equal pay for everyone in the workforce, given similar level of education, skills & experience. At least I can be certain of that for entry level jobs in my industry.
