  • This video is a basic run through of how I've learned to use GHS or Generalised Hyperbolic Stretch to stretch an image.
The is a comparison between the standard Histogram Transformation way to stretch an image and GHS.
This is how I used the tool and hopefully it will help you understand a little about how GHS works and what it can do, so you can find you own way to use it.
If you want to use GHS for yourself, you can find all the information about how to install it in PixInsight here: ghsastro.co.uk/

I’ve seen a lot of tutorials on GHS but this one is very practical, thanks for sharing your experience.
I know I’ll be booking marking.

I know you meant well, but you need to do something about your narrative. There’s a lot of mumbling and I had to concentrate not to fall asleep. Please speak loud and clear, preferably faster in future videos. Thanks!

      Thanks for the feedback.
I recognised early on that the volume on this video needed to be increased and hopefully that's improved on more recent videos. With a bit of luck the mumbling will improve with future videos, this was only the second video I'd put together and I'm definitely not a professional at this type of thing. As it is, I may remake this one because, as well as the volume, the visual recording is of poorer quality, when compared to more recent ones and I've learnt a couple of other techniques to add in.
