Erika, will convert a "hitter" into an incredible "swinger" in record time. PGA teachers love to drag lessons and teaching out forever and ever to just keep making money. It's nonsense! Erika is the best instructor to learn how to golf for amateurs PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally! A golf instruction video that doesn't spend 50% or more of the time analyzing why you are doing it wrong. That "teaching" technique only reinforces your negative thinking so you continue to do it wrong. Most golf instructors get this wrong! Don't tell me how I"m doing it wrong, tell me how to do it right. You are a breath of fresh air! Thank you!

One of the best instruction videos ever! I now have your book, "A TRUE SWING" which I'm enjoying and have enrolled in your online instruction course. You've proven to me that you can teach an old dog new tricks.

"Golf teacher" is an understatement. You are an extraordinary "gifted" golf teacher. What a superb explanation of the transition in the golf swing. Thank you. In the line describing your achievements, "Mom" should come first (not last) as it is the most difficult of all accomplishments.

No, she's a golf teacher. A good one for sure. Stop the adulation it's insincere. It's these kind of over the top comments and reactions that ends up putting people on pedestals they fall off of. Just keep it loose and steady just like her golf swing.

Any other TH-cam instructor would have dragged all that out to be much longer than 13 minutes and 38 seconds. Thanks for the clear and straight to-the-point lesson with the great drills included. Excellent job.

I worked on your tip on less arms and more turn. This is, without question , the best advice I’ve ever heard. Within three swings I was hitting it farther, straighter and with significantly less effort. Every time I quit turning I went to an arm swing and the results were less than ideal. GREAT INSTRUCTION...WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? Thanks so very much, Thomas

Hi Erika. The content in this video is outstanding. It directly addresses a major issue that many many golfers struggle with. That said it’s unfortunate that you used a gun reference to describe it. I understand that the load cock fire analogy is obvious in terms of the operation of a firearm but I watched the video on my television with several others present and they outwardly cringed. For what it’s worth I felt that as a huge fan of yours I would be remiss if I did not point that out to you. Thanks for all that you do for the amateur golfers struggling to improve. Your message is always consistent. I cannot say that about the hundreds of PGA professionals who were all taught out of the same book yet give us hundreds and hundreds of versions of the same content. Seems like a racket to me but thankfully I follow you because you have remained consistent. Keep up the great work. Love your book!

The tipping over, 2:10. This is where I fail, I think because I have tension in my wrists and grip, preventing the club from moving freely into that position. I’ll have to experiment with this on the range. Thanks!

I watched this video several times. So much resonated with me. Then I ordered your book on Amazon and read it cover to cover. It's like a journeyman's handbook. Something you put in your bag, and take to the range to work on drills and better understand the "natural swing." I so wish I had come across your content years ago. You have a teaching style that makes perfect sense and incorporates more of a person's natural abilities. Absolutely brilliant. Hoping to take a lesson with you someday. Outstanding video and mental cues. "The heave,"...the transition ( a pitcher falling toward the target).

I used to do the Step and Swing all the time at the Actual Driving Range, People probably thought I was Nutz. LOL. You Know your a serious Player when you have a Net inside your Home.

Are we "allowing" the tip and fall and return of weight to the front foot to provide the clubhead speed? Do we forget the arms and just let them follow all the former? I am trying to figure out how "allowing" the tipping/fall/ weight shift ever allow an increase in swing speed. Erika, you're a great explainer, but I can't find a single video in which you articulate one sentence that sums up what actually will increase clubhead speed.

I really like your approach to the swing. As a low handicapper and athlete I was able to compensate for a casting-prone swing with a good short game, but that has ruined the 3 bones and ligaments connecting my left thumb to wrist (CMC). I am rebuilding my swing and the transition is key for me.

Hi Erica love you analogies of the golf swing. The roller coaster and now this.
At 74 years old I discovered that if I swing with the power of my upper arms I can feel ‘the fall’ as you describe and it naturally occurs for me as my swing is now set as an automatic rife.
    How?
With my both Vs pointing at my trail shoulder; my trail trigger finger correctly wrapped around my club; and responsive wrists as you showed us in another video; I am pre locked and loaded and ready to ‘fire’ passing my club head ‘bullet’ through the ball. Cheers

Absolutely love your true swing technique. I definitely have more distance in just the first few days trying it and reading your book. Question about your head movement, especially for irons. Does your head go past the ball before the clubhead reaches the ball? And on the backswing do you allow for some head movement away from the ball?
