      @@JoeSmoeDoeLow I legitimately like it. It’s no Dyson and I don’t think it could handle large amounts of dog hair, but for normal cleaning in an apartment or house? Fantastic and being able to use the batteries you already have is a massive bonus.

    I enjoyed that you used the vacuum in a real everyday setting. No staged particles, real-life stuff, and you whipped that vacuum around like any other person who uses a vacuum, not the unrealistic, super slow way. Great review. I've become a Ryobi guy with almost all my tools. I'm sold. Just ordered the one with the dual head

    Best real world vacuum product review yet! I’ve been reviewing many stick vacs. I started with this Ryobi and then went thru Tinecos and Dysons. Your review has convinced me that the Ryobi is the one because of price, battery versatility, stand up feature, suction, and dust bin capacity. I also loved that the baby & dog were so chill during vacuuming.

    I'm considering getting a Ryobi stick vac. Was reading reviews from Bunnings and everyone has been complaining about the weight. After seeing a mum holding a baby in the other arm at the same time, I think those people need to suck it up (no pun intended). I think you've made my decision for me.

    At 13:09 you open the cap of the canister to empty it - WARNING - Watch out for that the rubber gasket on the lid falling into the garbage causing it to LOSE all suction! Many people are complaining of lost suction and that is the cause - a missing gasket that fell out. They are not sold separately. We lost ours and I'll be filling that gap with silicone and smoothing it flat just like the original. Only after your makeshift gasket dries close it up and test.

    Thank you for the great review! I was in the market for a new brushless drill and the home Depot battery kit plus this vacuum sweetened the pot. It arrives next week. I need something for sawdust and wood shavings in my shop, and my wife needed something for kitty litter. It seems like it'll work well.
    Appreciate it, and best wishes for your family.

    I own this vacuum, and have a few observations. It would be nice if you could empty the entire contents of the Dustbin by just dropping the door open. But too much stuff gets stuck between the outer body and the inner portion, necessitating the complete disassembly. It really shouldn't be like that.
    Second, you point out that the handle is on the back of the unit instead of the top. I find this a poor design. I find that in normal use, my hand in fact does want to be positioned more towards the top, as opposed to the back, and the power button is situated too close to the pad on my palm, below the base of my thumb, and the very sensitive switch often gets turned off by my palm pressing on the power button while I'm pushing the vacuum around.
    Lastly, I really do wish that the LED headlight would stay illuminated when turn the beater bar off, and are using just suction. Having an electronic background, I know this would necessitate an additional pair of contacts from top to bottom, and complicate things, not to mention raise the price, but it sure would be nice, because the headlight works very well, and it is sorely missed when you turn the beater bar off.

    @bigkahuna6277 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video. I have this stick vac and mostly agreed with your review. 2 cons, I was always shutting it off the way I hold this my thumb is on the handle. Another thing is we have mostly vinyl floors and we were to not to use the beater/brush but when you shut off the beater the headlight doesn't work? Why? Is that a defect or is that the way it works, the manual doesn't address that at all. Does yours do that? BTW Ryobi days had this for free if you bought the 3 battery pkg for $199 😊

    I'm definitely getting one! I'm going to wait for the dual brush one to be available. The second roller is soft and fluffy for hardwood floors because the bristles on the harder bristle brushes aren't as good on some real wood floor finishes. I have the first gen dual brush wired vacuum. It's like 7 years old. That thing is heavy AND pulling a cord around is a pain. Oh and not having a plug in my old house in some places is a headache having to go to the next area to plug it in to get the same room!

    Rotating the handle to steer the head will occasionally turn the vacuum off. Your hand will roll over the upper corner and accidentally press the power button. Sometimes.

    I just unboxed mine. When I put in the battery it is so darned heavy! Is this the default for cordless stick vaccuums. I'm tempted to take it back even though I see it has power and a good draw.
    Instructions say to never leave it standing. it must lie flat or be attached to the wall. That's a drawback and yet you dare to let it stand alone. What is the rule?

    Where do you get the 9 AH battery? I've been trying to find one forever. I've bought several off branded China batteries that claim to be 9 AH, but they actually test out to be 6 AH. They are quite a bit cheaper than the Ryobi 6 AH batteries, so I buy them, but I want at least one actual 9 AH battery. You didn't address this in your video, but does the roller come out to make cleaning hair tangles easier? My older Ryobi stick vac requires me to cut through the hair with a box cutter and then pick it out or do a troublesome disassembly to remove the roller.

  • @Cheryl-Bisceglia-Primary

    Great demo and info. I've been trying to figure out which one is best for our home. We have a combination of area rugs, hardwood floors and other hard surfaces. Would the dual head make the most sense? We have a bunch of the other Ryobi One tools, I assume the batteries that we have will work on this? I see that if you want more run time, you can purchase the 9am battery, but otherwise the typical 18V Lithium that I have on my hand vac, drills, etc would work just fine?

    The PCL720K which is the "brushed" version of this vacuum I think is selling for $96 + 15 shipping from Direct Tools Outlet right now for a limited time sale until May 7th. Is it basically the same vacuum but less suction power and runtime? Based on the specs, it would have 25 IOW of suction power versus the brushless 75 IOW suction power. Also it would have 45 minutes of runtime compared to 60 minutes for the brushless. But it is less than half the price and includes a 4Ah battery. Think it is still worth it? Are there any other differences I may have missed?
