You know what's funny? THe first time I fought this creature was accidentally in Anamoly quest. I was farming for levels and it appeared around 140+ for me. I was buggin cause I was like "wait, can you only fight it through here?" And proceeded to fail 6 times before finally defeating it. Only to find it later in the MR quest. .....XD Fought a powered up version with restrictions for no reason other than I was too stupid to look in MR quests. Then again, didn't think I'd get it in anamolies. Either way, this fight is SUPER fun
Yeah, it hits hard. I had to constantly keep my distance while reading his fighting patterns. Took me a while to knock it down a few times, and thanks to my long sword, sacred sheath skill, I was able to kill it. And yeah, I used up most of my potions. I ended up going back to the tent 1 or 2 times without dying once
I felt risen shagaru wasnt a Big deal ,didn't have much problem...but as soon as i hit anomaly level 240 , things drastically changed. After 240 he barely has any opening, never stops attacking, everything has a follow Up,he can 2 shot you with 1.1k defense,he's only good weak spot, the face,is the most dangerous place to attack him and everything else excepto the tail isnas hard as a rock and well...he's triple carting me... This is the only time since i started this game i been triple carted, not one hunt,oh no no no ,this Guy as kicked my ass at least a dozen times by now. I thought...oh boy . And this is ar 240,cant imaginé a buffed 300level Guy. Im actually have to try hard for once ,its absolutly sublime.
I found the Risen Shaguru which you unlock once you get to a certain level on afflicted research to be even harder, and is one of the only fights i haven't completed at this point, at it's animations are insanely fast, and nearly impossible to dodge but i may try it again at some point.
I noticed you were just out of range for a lot of your foresight slashes. If you hold the direction opposite of the monster you'll move closer to it for the slash to hit. I had to practice it a little due to the inverse controls. Also sakura slash and serene pose would've helped you a lot in this fight.
yeah it's definitely the hardest monster in the game rn. risen shaggy is relentless, especially the hazard one where he extends a ton of his combos, which, combined with his aoes, makes it very hard to deal with.
I beat him with IG on my second try but I do not enjoy him at all. Without a counter or more importantly a shield, Shaggy is insane. You get nearly no attack windows when he is risen, he does way too much damage and the fight is more stressful and enjoyable. I also asllready fought level 220+ Risen Valstrax in the update and feels easy compared to Risen Shaggy.
I did my first two attempts yesterday for this bad boy and I just felt like I saw myself playing with this video Feels kinda weird but also quite funny as I had the exact same reactions, especially for the massive risen boom move Anyways I had a good time watching this video 😁
The players shouldn't have complained about the game being too easy and now capcom is cooking up one ass whooping after another with these risen elder dragons and special anomaly investigations😭
@@Amatsu_storm_approach I wouldn't say fatalis level but yeah I can see them being as hard as alatreon in fact the risen are already harder than what was thought to be their iceborne equavalent aka arch tempered elders.
I use evade extender 3 and that helped a lot with this fight. Also the absolute Petal and Devine bless. I was able to use my frostcraft build easy with comfort skills and still have max dps.
Risen Shagura is the Bain of my play style. I hate him. He hates me. Hardest most unpredictable monster in Sunbreak easy. His anomaly quests lv 230+ are ridiculously brutal.
What are the risen monsters with gold on their images called? I have them unlocked and it just says “Risen Shagaru or Valstrax”, but is there a specific name for those special enhanced variants?
For Longsword, atleast for me countering delayed explosions are the worst. Clean no explosion no bs fights are the best. I hate this trend of mh where the risen, AT monsters etc are only different and harder because they added f ton pf explosions after every attacks. Shit makes no sense and it's annoying difficulty. Instead make a clean fight with heavy, fast combo attacks like risen valstrax but with less explosions. I really like the weapon system of Mh. I consider it top class of all action games but the boss/monster moveset especially at the endgame repeat fights are the worst. That aspect, I comsider souls games the best. What if we combine these two and make a masterpiece of a baby, it would be so awesome
I didn't like this fight much. Shame cause I was really looking forward to it. It was the same issue as Val. They seriously cut Shaggy's recovery animation length and that's where all the difficulty is. Unless you stick to fast, weak moves, Shaggy will punish you. So you're mostly just scratching at it until you can get a big knockdown. More tedious than challenging. It'd be cooler if in knocking it out of frenzy state it reverted to its old move set instead of losing its breath weapon. The "make it faster so big attacks get punished" method is kinda lame and not a particularly creative way of upping difficulty. All it does is make you play more conservatively.
When you make the combat so braindead by giving OP wirebug counters, wirefall, etc, that's the only way (aside from one shot moves) they can pose a challenge for the player... that's why I hate this game, it's either too boring and braindead or too cheap and frustrating, they gotta go back to World and other pre-Rise games' balance
amatsu may have been the star of the update but this guy was an absolute powerhouse
Shagaru the king of risen...i like valstrax design more but shagaru theme just felt like...heavenly judgement

I unlocked scorned magnamalo before he unlocked in mr100...im like wait what magnamalo is this... spoiler for sure 💀
This guy rocked my shit
I ran out of all my healing items before slaying him. He’s at the difficultly I was hoping for with Master Rank. Very satisfying monster to hunt.
@@Hibernial he was definitely my most potion-draining fight
He's about 5x harder than fatty

Man! This is like a Alatreon fight.Alot of running around.Good Fight DG.I know you'll get him.
I thought Risen Shagalu Magala is really strong and difficult than Amatsu in this update. For me, it’s the hardest monster for TU5.
yeah it's definitely the hardest monster in the game rn. risen shaggy is relentless, especially the hazard one where he extends a ton of his combos, which, combined with his aoes, makes it very hard to deal with.
Its designed that way. Amatsu is set to MR10 so everyone can play. Shaggy is at MR180 so you can only fight him if you have grinded
primordial malzeno is the best fight, because its very hard but still more fair than risen valstrax or shagaru and more fun
2:33 Monster's attack has no cooldown lol

Yeah, the special investigation risen elders (specially the last 2 ones)are on step to be alatreon and fatalis from iceborne.

Don't give up, you can do it
Just kil it in anomaly research lv145, he still not bring a memory of fatalis experience back
Amastu and Risen Shagaru both have pretty cool armor skills, but I like Amastu's armor skill better since it's good for duel blades
Damn, havent seen DearGamer fail a quest in eons :D

Glad that we as of right now have options in the hunting genre.
Monster Hunter
Wild Hearts
Dauntless
This boy is a BEAST
This one is sooo damn good (as in the risen shagaru)
Is it just me or are monsters dying much faster after the update like I've casually killed risen Teo in just 6 min when it used to take me 8-10
Depending on the weapon some got buffed this update...
I beat him on my first attempt ...buuut I almost fainted the third time. So I was lucky with the Charge Blade😅
What are the risen monsters with gold on their images called? I have them unlocked and it just says “Risen Shagaru or Valstrax”, but is there a specific name for those special enhanced variants?
Not really. They don't have a specific name, but I've heard people call them Hazard
Damn that was a good first try DG!
Thank you!
That....that my boy
Love you DG!
this is first i ever seen dear gamer get bulldozered on any of his first attempt hunts lol GG bro

What gear is he wearing? And can I still obtain it?
If this is hard try fatalis. Yesterday i was with my gunlance 1st time and kill it
What a hunt 🔥
this fight imo is a lot more fun than amatsu
Can't wait for this fight 😮
This dude is no joke
1st but also in a couple of days I'll be Is able to play this and i'm scared
Dont be afraid its just a pixel lol
I'm here to hear the Alternate pronunciation of Magala xD But Fr tho this fight looks like aids. Lmao
Nice fight
Use max potions man!
I got killed...deym
