Bellson Music Fest 2024, A Celebration Of Louie Bellson By Slater Photography

Visit Rock Falls put on one beautiful celebration this weekend with the Bellson Music Fest, A centennial celebration of Louie Bellson. Special thanks to Melinda Jones, all the wonderful staff, Rock Falls PD ,volunteers & without a doubt Francine Bellson widow of Rock Falls IL native, 6 time Grammy nominee Louie Bellson for making this possible. The day started off with a monumental lineup featuring a packed drum clinic with world renowned percussionist/Former drummer for the legendary band Journey Steve Smith. Following with Jerry Criss Band, Yorkville Big Band, Rock River Jazz Band, Josh Duffee & His Orchestra, completing the night was none other than Steve Smith & Vital Information/Manuel Valera/jenek Gwizdala. Mother Nature certainly gave us some unexpected surprises but with the help of one of my favorite venues McCormick Event Center they were wonderful hosts, opening their doors for us to keep the show alive. Can’t forget the delicious cake from my personal friend Aurelio's Bake Shop.
