Sorry to hear about your 03 bro 😢 if it's any consolation my brand new 7" build decided to desync over some asphalt and I lost my new 2807 eco ii motors a brand new 2200 6s battery and worst of all a spanking new gopro 9 soooo I feel your pain brother... woes of the hobby!! 😢
Wow! Sorry that happened to you. I had a Darwin come out of the box with bad bearings in one of the motors and thought that was bad, this is just ridiculous!
When I started messing with drones years ago this was pretty common. I didn’t want to spend DJI money so I probably spent thousands looking for a good drone. Finally went the DJI route and never had another issue. There is much better stuff on the market now, but I’m still guy shy of anything not DJI just from those early experiences.
The ground wire probably de-soldered itself & significantly weakened the joint the first time the polarity was inverted or the ESC really was fried the first time polarity inverted & 100% of the current was sent to to the motors when given throttle input. Same thing happened to my first ever quad.
Was this one of those bring your own VTX sort of builds ? I actually enjoyed this review alot. And im not gonna lie the dog frame is adorable !! Im checking out that companies frames now. Sorry to hear your o3 lit on fire, that sucks. I wish you could have swapped an aio and still flew the frame!
That sux. I had no issues with my Darwin FPV 129, basically an upgraded Tyro 129. Well, at least we know they didn't test that before they sent out the door.
The only bind and fly drones I ever buy only the whoops have been good. All the bigger bind and fly have all been bad. Only reason I even buy the bigger bind and fly was at the time I got them just the cost of the vista and fc was worth buying
is the 03 unit hard mounted to the frame? A lot of people dont realize when you do that you are grounding the entire frame through the air unit and the FC to the esc. super not good
I ordered one of these with the analog camera , the seller just sent me a frame for tiny ape. I had to get paypal involved to get a refund. After seeing this, Im glad I didnt get it.

Its called Darwin FPV because their quality control will land you on the Darwin Awards.
The vertical carbon for the stack reminds me of the Eachine Lizard. It was my first BnF, in 2017, and it flew magnificently out of the box. No smoke😂

That's kind of crazy that the flight controller survived reversed polarity
It is. The first problem didn’t kill the fc or my Dji 03. The next problem did tho

No it has tpu stand offs.
I love Darwins foldape and baby ape Design. Their motors are okay. But electronics is Hit or miss quality.
What did they say when you told them it blew up? 😂
